10.4.25: Dropped off my friend's daughter at her appointment to get a hummingbird tattoo from Opie. It took about an hour and turned out great! Opie had done all my friend's pieces and they all turned out amazing. He's a talented artist and busy too, so I would recommended an appointment. I've been here once when my godmother got tattooed and the guy Tim seemed really nice. My mom also got work done by him and said he was nice as well. I decided to get some work by him and he was amazing! He helped me figure out what I want since I just had a general idea of what I wanted. He told me everything he was doing as he was doing it to make sure I felt comfortable. His hand wasn't heavy so it wasn't as painful as other tattoos I've gotten. Had a great experience here working with Tim. We came in without an appointment at about 11:45AM on a Sunday, and he was happy to get up and help us out right away. My husband and I wanted the same numbers "205" in a traditional type font that he was able to quickly draw out and did it so well that it needed very little adjustments to be just right. I was being annoyingly unsure of the placement of mine. Albeit small - tattoos are forever and I want it to be as perfect as possible. He gave me some great suggestions in terms of placement and size and how it would hold up over time. This was the least painful tattoo I've ever had done (I have 6). I really think this was due to Tim's experience and excellent work. I couldn't recommend him more. *Note that this is the tattoo shop on the beach side of PCH. There's another one literally across the street - so don't get confused :) Thanks again! read more

This place is a joke. $150 shop minimum for terrible quality. The female artist (won't say by name) was shaking the whole time and RUDE. My tattoo lines are nowhere near straight and I will need to have this tattoo reworked somewhere else. OH and why no aftercare instructions?
