Stumbled upon this really cool decorated bar in Park Slope. There's tables for you to sit at with board games. They also have a pinball machine and video game machine at the back of the bar. The only reason Im giving it 4 stars is because the music wasn't really that fun to listen to and the vibe was very local which isn't bad if you're just trying to enjoy some beer and some pizza. I made an account just so I can write a review for this bar - so that itself speaks volumes!! My friends and I decided to look some place up after spending a night at the bandshell in prospect park. It wasn't a bad walk from the park, so that's a plus if you're in to nature and booze. Arriving, we almost left because it was actually incredibly hot inside (it was pretty packed for it's size) but I ordered a drink and the rest was history. They give you a free personal pizza if you ask for it upon ordering the drink, we weren't aware of that so half way through my first drink I asked how much the pizza would cost and he said it would've been free if I asked before. But out of curtesy he gave me and my friends a pizza anyway which was absolutely delicious. Also, the bar tender walked around and gave us all ice pops for free which was really really cool. There's a few table top games like connect four, and if you manage to get a seat at the bigger tables you actually feel the AC coming through. They play cool movies on a projector, really nostalgic 80's/90's songs that you can sing your pants off to, and the decor is really freaking silly in the best ways (girls bathroom wall paper is cute pics of young John travolta) it's easily my new favorite bar, really fun and hospitable. I knew this spot was in the neighborhood, but had never been until last night, when my roommates and I went after a concert. It is a great, great bar. The prices are incredibly reasonable (I mean, $8 for a cocktail and a pizza? Yes please!) and the atmosphere is super friendly. The bartenders were incredibly attentive and are even let us play Whitney Houston over the sound system. Patrons were also super friendly--the great bartenders and the pizza seem to have put everyone in a great mood. Recommend 1000x over, AC is far more personal and fun than almost any bar I've been to in New York. read more

My wife and I walked into this place because we were looking for a place to hang out until our party arrived for dinner across the street. We didn't know what to expect. Once we entered you could tell right away it was a real divey place. It wreaked of beer the moment you walked through the door. But the place did have it's charm once we took a look around it's small space. All over the walls are pictures and posters of total pop nostalgia from before the turn of the millennium. We both got a beer at the bar and the bartender was really friendly. We were in awe of all the cool things that were posted on the walls like the Wonder Woman and Knight Rider posters and dart board in the back. They had 90's rock playing in the background which gave a really cool vibe. At the tables on the back wall were games from yesteryear like Simon says, Connect 4, 90 trivial pursuit, Jenga. Apples to Apples was also there which is a pretty fun game to play with a group. You could totally make a drinking game out of that. Apparently they make pizza there too but we didn't get a chance to sample that. Overall it was a really chill place with an old school vibe. If I lived in that neighborhood I'd probably hang out there pretty often. Sucks for me that I don't have a place like this near me. read more

Found this place open on a Tuesday night after 3 other bars were closed in the area. It's a small cozy dive bar. Lots of cool nostalgic stuff From old lunch boxes to movie posters scattered on the walls and ceiling and toys. Lots of stuff to look at. The best part here is you get to eat free pizza they make fresh for you as long as you're drinking. They make you these cute little personal pies for free. They charge a buck if you want pepperoni or jalapeño. There's a nice selection of beers on tap and nice liquor stick as well. The bartender even bought us a round which is rare nowadays. They have trivia and karaoke nights too. Another cool thing is this place is always open til 4am. I will most definitely be coming here quite often. read more

In fact, kinda really the only true bar on this side of 7th Ave. Brad so awesomely let us host our son's first birthday party (Goo-Goo Lady Gaga themed -- see photos) and it was fantastic! Strictly average. Completely forgettable. The pizza was not good (bland, spongy crust, no tang to the sauce). Free pizza with every beer is one of its main attractions but it felt put-on like a place that opens a garden and throws a food truck in. A little behind the times, guys. And if the pizza tastes like cardboard then what's the benefit of even having it? The bartender was pretty and nice. The beer selection was fine. The architecture of the place is big and open and generic. Two-tops and a bar. Close your eyes and imagine "bar." There you go. Now you don't need to go to American Cheez because you've already been there. It's so disappointing; when Bar Four closed I was hoping for something better.
