First time here, and wow it's a huge space, great for gatherings. We happen to go on the day of the Kentucky Derby so we got to see people all dressed up with fun hats. We were here for a kid's birthday and if you have kids, they are welcoming. The staff were incredibly patient and calm despite the amount of kids running around, playing with bubbles, scooters, and cornhole takeover. Food is okay, it is bar food. I assume they had a great selection of alc drinks, even though I didn't take part in the beer. I had an orange soda and it was great! Such a cool and spacious brewery that is great for parties, watching a game, or just hanging out. They are also super dog-friendly, so that's always a plus in my book. The outdoor space is huge with plenty of seating. The patio is also retractable, so has coverage for those super sunny or rainy days. There are plenty of TV inside and outside if you're here for the game too. Every table has a QR code, but you'll still have to go inside to order your food and drinks. I had the Cool as a Cucumber cocktail ($15.50), which was light and refreshing. For food, we got the 10pcs Chicken Wings ($16.50) and Pepperoni Pizza ($15.50). The food came out fairly quick and piping hot, especially that pizza. It was tasty and good although the cheese was falling apart a bit, which made it messy. Plus, lots of oil in these pepperoni cups. As for the wings, we got two flavors: honey sriracha and spicy buffalo. They separated them and also gave celery with ranch to pair. I enjoyed the flavors on these, which were nicely coated with sauce. Overall, nice spot to hang out. I'd come more often if it was easier for me to get here, but it's a bit in the middle of nowhere. Stopped in after going to an event nearby and it was well worth it. We didnt realize it was a restaurant at first because of the big wooden walls but once we were inside we were pleasantly surprised. This place is the perfect casual outdoor spot. There's no table service so you order food and drinks at the bar and then take your number to your table. We got the wings and tots. Both were amazing!! Came to meet some friends on a saturday afternoon. Big space we decided to sit inside one it was a bit chilly and there was music inside. We were a little confused at first we didn't know if someone took our order and the QR codes were kind of peeling off . there was a young lady by a register so we asked her. So you can order food with her but have to go to bar to order drinks. that's a bit annoying. Anyway we were with two kids 8&12. Still family friendly and we loved the 90s music. Loved all of the decorations here! Definitely a nice ambiance although being outside it did get a little windy which was annoying because our waters spilled and the last bit of my fries flew away onto the floor. We had nachos as an appetizer. My husband had the buttermilk sandwich and I had the cheesesteak. The food was good. I liked my pretzel bun. Came here for a doggy meetup and sat out at the covered patio. This place is very spacious and dog friendly (always leashed). You can order your food and drinks inside and just give them your table number. We got the breakfast wrap, chicken alla manny, and tater tots along with a Bloody Mary and grapefruit shandy which all were tasty. There's also a couple of TVs out in the patio so great to watch games while hanging out. I decided to go for it and switched up my fries for totes because you always switch to totes if you have the chance. My husband got the buttermilk chicken salad, and my friends ordered the Faros salad and a margherita pizza with extra ricotta. Everyone enjoyed their food - the salad was seemingly endless. I really enjoyed the Beyond burger. It looked like a real burger - I don't know that I would say it tasted just like a real burger, but it was definitely a good replacement for someone who no longer eats meat. It was juicy and flavorful. The tots thought were so so good. I really should have ordered a whole other order because they were delicious and in like tetris shapes lol. Good place to hangout with a group of friends. We went early evening on a Friday and it was pretty packed, but luckily we got a table for 3 outside. The chairs were not very comfortable which made me not want to stay for more than 1-2 drinks. We got a pitcher of red sangria which was delicious as well as some food for the table. This is a tricky one. I'm not quite sure what happened although, there was a slight feeling of possible aliens or the staff all meeting for the very first time. It was a beautiful Friday afternoon - the place was packed with teachers who had been patiently waiting for the bell to ring so they could swarm over in droves. Greenwood is a cool spot - it's primarily outdoor seating - maybe a 75/25 split of outdoor to indoor seating. So yes, this was the place to be. 3 stars because I've been here before any the staff was on their game... also 3 stars because today... there was no game. It was a free-for-all. Tables with reserve signs on them, no list to put your name on & barely any table service although there seemed to be plenty of staff. There was no routine - you had to grab a staff member when they walked by because you could be sure they weren't stopping at your table. We were two people who wound up being at Greenwood Park for nearly 3 hours... and only had 2 rounds of drinks. Why only 2 rounds of drinks? Well that's because the crew was pure chaos. Most tables were experiencing the same. We would have easily had a 3rd round and possibly a 4th. It was truly an odd experience. Typically I'd recommend this place but I do have to say, go with the above in the back of your mind. Hopefully they're organized now & this was a one-off. A solid spot for outdoor dining. They have a huge tent setup with heat lamps! They definitely stepped up their food game because a few years ago it was mostly bar food. Now their menu has wings, burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, salads and sides. Honestly for a place known as a beer garden, their food is also pretty tasty. My husband had the fried chicken sandwich which was really good. I had the butternut squash soup (it was cold that day!) and it was also very good. My daughter had the chicken fingers which she liked but I think it's a tad over fried. The fries were ok because it wasn't as crispy but the onion rings were really good. I've had their wings before (pre-Covid) and thought it was well made but since we ended up coming here on a cold night, I didn't want to get down and dirty with wings. I really wasn't expecting to be as impressed as I was with Greenwood Park. I peeped the menu beforehand and saw generic beer garden food. I don't really love beer and being around small, possibly screaming humans is not my idea of a good time. Alas, here we are. I came with a friend and her small, sometimes screaming human on an early Saturday afternoon. The beer garden, while expansive, wasn't crowded - it was still a little chilly out and they had opened maybe an hour or two earlier. We were lucky to be seated under the big tent. It got warmer and sunnier later in the day. 90s music [Blink-182, Lifehouse] was playing on the sound system [but not too loud!] and baseball was on the TV outside [no sound]. This is my kind of vibe. The staff were all masked and tables were separated fairly far apart. I had the Caesar Salad [$13.5] which was surprisingly REALLY good. I can't remember the last time I had a legitimate Caesar salad. Don't get this if you're not a fan of anchovies - they're lined up on the plate like, "how you doin'?" I added chicken so it was $4 extra. This was a big delicious salad. My friend and I also shared the Blue Fries [$9]. They were really good too. The fries were especially crispy and loaded up with blue cheese. The portion size was ample, so definitely good for sharing. I could probably do without the truffle oil - it's pretty played out and can be overwhelming. Lastly, I had a pretty excellent sour-y-ish beer (x2) that was fruity. I don't remember what it was called, but the waitress recommended it after the one I had originally wanted was sold out. Service was decent but sluggish at times. The small, sometimes screaming human started to scream toward the end of our outing. The staff was really understanding, so I appreciated that. We each paid $56 after tax and tip. It's strange and I don't understand it. So if you bring your dog on a weekend, you will be turned away. What beer garden in Brooklyn doesn't accept dogs these days? When I was there on a Saturday I saw several groups with dogs get turned away. Anyway, just be aware of this if you plan to bring a four legged guest. read more

Overall, it was underwhelming. I get that it's a Biergarten and my expectations were set accordingly. Hand sanitizer at the entrance was empty. Staff were wearing masks. After taking our order, our waiter basically disappeared for most of the time. Nobody caring to see if our order and good were good. I had the burger and it it was pretty much as I expected- just OK. The fries were pretty good. The entertainment was watching actual rats chase each other. These were nice big, juicy rats, too- not the kind you mistake for mice. The insult came when presented with the check and was charged extra for cheese on the burger when the menu clearly states it's included. I didn't bother arguing. This was my first time here, party of 4, arrived at 7pm on a Tuesday and we were seated right away. NYC is currently on phase 3 and this place always had an outside seating arrangement. You are provided with paper menu, plastic cups, utensils in a plastic bag, and small cardboard serving plates. This place offers typical bar food, nothing mind blowing, and they do have one salad option on the menu (Greek salad). There's an outside bar which people were line up to place their order. Seating arrangement are definitely distance and you must wear a mask if you're not seated. The food arrived in less than 10 minutes and the service was not up to par. We had to ask for extra utensils as were only provided one packet, asked twice for a drink and three times for extra blue cheese. the waiter was actually annoyed and said "didn't I bring you extra blue cheese?" - yes you did but it was not even a full serving. He replied giggling "I don't pack them"' Overall this place is a 2.5 but I give it a 3 due to its potential, outdoor seating and I'm giving the service the benefit of a doubt that the waiter was just having an off day. read more

I'd been hearing about this place for a long time from coworkers. I could not believe it existed, having grown up in the area and never hearing of such a thing. My partner and I were taking a long walk back home from Park Slope and stumbled upon this place and decided to bite the bullet on this first apparent day of Spring {this winter had been a fierce one, and we were well past the equinox}. Upon entering, the outdoor seating was filled to a good extent with local hipsters, but mostly parents with their toddlers and babies. It was a bit of a strange sight, but I figured that will be us in a few years. After perusing the menu, we went up to order only to find out that they were out. We tried another one; out. Another one; out. Fix your gosh-dang board if you're all out! We finally settled on two that they did have and sat outside watching the locals.
