I had a hit-and-run a few weeks ago and, after working with my insurance, I needed to find a body shop to repair the damages. I first went to another shop, but after going back and forth multiple times, they told me it would take two weeks to order the parts and fix my car. Then I came to this location and spoke with David. Even though I arrived around 5 p.m. (right at closing time), he and his team stayed to help me with the paperwork, estimates, and everything I needed. David told me it would take three days to get my car ready. I dropped it off Friday afternoon, and by Sunday morning he called to let me know it was finished! I wasn't able to pick it up until Monday, but the quick turnaround was impressive. On top of that, they went above and beyond by fixing small paint dings here and there and even replacing my steering wheel for free (twice!). This is truly a fantastic body shop. I've been very fortunate in my 20+ years of driving to have very few accidents or incidents with damage to my vehicles. One day, my Tesla was parked at a parking meter on a major street. Some jerk pulled out of the parking lot right behind it and misjudged the distance he needed to turn, striking the driver-side rear quarter panel of my car. Fortunately, I got his insurance information and thanks to my Tesla's 4 dashcams, the whole event was caught on video. Never having been in this position before, of being a victim of a collision, I didn't know where to start. I went to Tesla's website and looked for their approved body shops near me. I called up American Collision Center, made an appointment and they welcomed me in. Their lot was full of Teslas with much worse damage than mine, so I was hopeful they would even take in my relatively minor body damage issue. Let me tell you how these people made it so easy for me. They dealt with the at-fault parties insurance company, negotiating extensively with them, they loaned me a Tesla to use while they were fixing mine, and they even buffed out a scratch that was unrelated to my accident damage. They returned my vehicle to me cleaned and waxed, and it looked as good as the day I took delivery when it was new. Karo and Tina get all the stars in the world for updating me regularly and returning my Tesla to me like it was brand new. And did I mention the lifetime warranty on the work that they did?! I have been told that Tesla repairs usually take around a minimum of two months, so when the American Collision Center told me it would take less than two weeks, I was shocked. They mentioned that they had all the items in stock and would be able to work on my car as soon as I dropped it off. Although many Teslas were waiting to be repaired in the lot, my car took precisely 13 days to complete. They updated me when the bodywork was finished with the car and sent me updated photos when I asked. They truly made me feel like my car was in great hands. Once I picked up the car, everything looked perfect. The interior of the car was also immaculate. They left no mess and returned my car cleaner than when I dropped it off. I'm also leaving this same review on Google, because this shop deserves it. This is the second time (unfortunately) I've had to bring a car to this shop. Not because of the shop, but because having to bring your car to any body shop is unfortunate. My first Tesla ended up being totaled... thankfully. Because it was in 2021 and the used car market was completely dry of inventory and my 2021 Model Y with about 10k miles got me $72,000 from the insurance company for "fair market value". Not an exaggeration whatsoever. Fast forward to 2024, within the span of 1 month, my 2022 Model Y Performance was hit from the front right corner in a small traffic accident, and also my back left door was hit by my neighbor, completely bending it the way it's not supposed to go. I have Tesla insurance and had 2 claims filed with them for each incident. I took my car back to American Collision, and the same nice lady at the front desk helped me (Tina I think is her name). Quick, easy, and pleasant. They are very professional and organized, with that kind of family owned vibe. David was in charge of my car and he was nice and told me it shouldn't take too long to get it fixed up. My car was repaired by them pretty quickly, maybe a little more than a week, and then we had to wait for Tesla Insurance to send out the checks for each claim. Once I received the check in the mail, it was a Friday about 4oclock and they close at 5, but I called David and he told me I could come by in the morning (on Saturday) and he would be there for a few hours and I can pick it up. I met him there early in the morning, he took care of the checks and paperwork at Tina's desk, I signed off on it, really quick, less than 5 minutes. I checked my car out, absolutely incredible job. Perfection. You cannot tell anything happened to it at all. It's as good as new again. I had forgot my backpack in the lobby but David ran out and gave it to me before I drove off. Took my Tesla to ACC for repair after a rear end accident while driving in Los Angeles (out of state driver). Tina, Paul, and his father were great to deal with though on my initial interaction. The overall experience left a lot to be desired though, but I get that all these shops are hit or miss. Communication could've been better throughout the process. I'd classify the final outcome of the work to lean more towards mediocre than OK. Many areas missed or skipped over, but to be quite frank I just got tired of dealing with them and just needed the car to get back home. Almost 1 month is excessive for a 3-4 day job as well. Would I recommend this shop? No. And it's unfortunate that I have to give this negative review. I think you're better off trying a different place. Good luck. read more

My Model Y looked like it went through a warzone -- badly scrapped doors, mirror, and tire. I was dreading the whole repair process, but American Collision Center put my worries to rest. I called for an estimate on a Friday and by Wednesday, 5 days later, I had it back looking brand new. Other shops'd take a month but American Collision keeps the parts on hand so they can get right on it. They even had a loaner Model Y I could use. Their quote beat others. They accept credit cards. The only negative was I live 25 miles away from Northridge but it was well worth the drive. I only give it a 5 star because I can't give it 10. Every single person who worked here was so kind and lovely. All they wanted to do was help and make some nice conversation. It took a while to get the parts in for my Tesla but they only kept my car for 5 days to fix it and it looked good as new afterwards! After someone crashed into the side of my car at a red light and completly damaged the whole drivers side of the car I was devistated. All I could think about was one minute I am sitting at a red light and the next someone is halfway through the whole side of my car. That same day I called my insurance company to find out how to deal with this mess. My car is my livelyhood and without it I am unable to do my job, which is a very big problem.
