I can't say enough about my experience with American Basements and Crawlspaces Corp. Their representative and owner Steve T. was very patient with us in explaining, in detail, why I should contract with them. He was quite to the point on how my interior crack would never leak again for 15 or more years minimum. I was familiar already with a urethane product he used and I already knew its characteristics. I had four different competitors out here to compare, and after going back and forth with all of them I narrowed the field to select American Basements and Crawlspaces. Although the work was just performed they fixed the crack right before a deluge that lasted a few days. The rain that we endured would have had my sump pump cycling every 30 seconds and immediately that became 90 seconds with bone dry results around the crack. Our neighbors went with another company that they had scheduled to return to warranty a small leak they had remaining. The other thing I must mention was there was no 90 minute presentation where they wanted to sit down in your home to go through catalogs. I never have that kind of time and its always a tip-off that these companies charge outrageous rates. So yes! I am happy with the work this company performed. read more

I had a leak in my basement and wasn't sure what the best route was to fix it and if it was going to cost me a lot of money. I called and Steve the owner came to my house and walked around the whole outside of the house with me and inside and showed me where the issue was. I have a crawlspace that had standing water, mounds of dirt, and an unpleasant smell. I contracted them to waterproof my crawlspace, install a sump pump, and pour concrete. Let me tell you, Day and Night difference upon completion. I have not seen one drop of water in my crawlspace. I am glad I called them. Stay away from US waterproofing and Perma Seal. We found out we had seepage in our basement, including some foundation cracks and groundwater pressure. We got four estimates from different companies in the area. American Crawlspace & Basement was the first company to respond and come out for an estimate. Jim O'Donnell was very direct, explained what needed to be done, and explained ways I could save money on the job. By the time the other estimates came in, American Crawlspace's estimate was almost $1800 less than the next lowest bid. There was a slight delay involving obtaining a permit, but it only delayed the work by a few days, and throughout the process Keith and Gena kept in contact and were very responsive. On the day of the job, I met with their crew leader first and he told me what to expect. They dug out the concrete floor around the inside perimeter of my basement, installed drain tile and drainage board all the way around, installed a sump pump, and then re-poured 4" of concrete all the way around. The work was done in one day, and passed inspection no problem. I would highly recommend this company to anyone with basement water problems. read more

I continue to have seepage and water coming up through cracks in basement. I have called and talked to both Steve and Keith. I am getting the run around from both of these guys. They just don't seem to know what to do. They have made no efforts towards investigating what is going wrong.
