I had a great experience when they did my kitchen so I never hesitated to have them back for my kitchen. things were going well until Jason left the company and they were relocating. Replacement mirrors were forgotten for months and then it took many months to get them installed. when they came to do the touch ups the paint job was awful. I was not pleased and said I wanted someone else to fix it and was told I couldn't. Jackson came and agreed the room needed a repaint. the wrong paint finish was applied. the worker was angry and I didn't notice immediately but paint was dumped on my garage floor and splattered on my car. it was passenger side so I didn't see it. one sink had defective finish and I was told they would contact the provider. I stopped n twice and was told they hadn't heard back. this was 2022 and I'm still waiting. I then get a call stating I didnt make final payment and if I didn't pay within a week I'd be turned over to collections. I paid before the job was done. I show up with proof and they try to say i didnt make an earlier payment. I proved all payments. I asked for Paul the owner to call me several times. still waiting.. Keep away especially if they try to put Junior on your job. April is a dream to work with but the other woman and her grandson are horrid. read more

We have had American Decorating do work for us several times over the past 20 years, always with great results. Kitchens baths flooring they do it all. Last year they redid our bath in the basement. The crew they sent offered suggestions and helped us reshape the space by moving plumbing around that gave us more usable space without having to move any walls etc. The crew back at the office looked for ideas that would not only look great but was very useful. We used ADC to install a new standing tub in our master bathroom. It included taking out and re-installing the floors, re doing the electric and creating a new drain for the tub as well as painting. The initial crew (Carlos and his son) were great. They worked all day every day, were on time and very polite. They cleaned up and made sure not to track dirt on our carpets. When a slight problem occurred with the tub, ADC took care off it. Terry was excellent in her communication and customer service. We would definitely use them again. read more

This place is a joke. Never use them for your remodeling needs. Let me explain in great detail what happened: I initially went to them in March of 2018 when I was going to completely gut my kitchen. I ended up contracting them for everything (floors, cabinets, countertops) except for the demolition work which i did myself. This is where the issues began. To start the two women working in the center were great, however the person I got stunk like cigarette smoke so bad it made my head hurt everytime he would come to the house. It got to a point where I would avoid him and just send emails. His attitute was also terrible and he was plain rude. The work was delayed which I guess could be argued is semi normal for contractors but still very irritating. The thing that offended me was that the flooring was installed INCORRECTLY. There was a negative slope on the floor that surpassed the maximum threshold for the flooring warranty (armstrong floors). When I brought this up to the smelly guy he completely turned it around on me. he asked me how do you level floors? I said I don't know, you're the specialists. He laughed at me. He was the worst. I was constantly fighting witht hem to fix the issue. so much so that I delayed the last payment amount until I spoke directly with the owner. This never occured. Fast forward until 3/11/2020 and i receive a warrant of debt in the mail. The last communication I had with this company was that the owner would call me to rectify the issue but instead, they just issued a warrant in debt after a year. I paid the debt but have never heard from the owner. This is not a place that deserves your business. I have 3 neighbors that love the way i designed the kitchen and when they ask me who to go with I told them to stay away from this place. I made this into my dream kitchen so for some time following the completion of the project several neighbors came in just to tour the remodel. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. read more

Paul Davis and American decorating center did an outstanding job on our new bathroom. It is exactly what I was looking for. The one issue is dealing with them as individuals. One of their subs hit our garage door and it was a nightmare trying to get it fixed. They finally had the door replaced but not without headaches. When the project was finished I asked Paul if he wanted to come over and see it and he said "no I saw it when it was almost done." I found that a bit odd. If you don't mind dealing with their personalities I would have given them a 5 star on their work. read more

Beyond anything I expected! I needed new hallway and stair flooring, previously carpeted. I rescue pups that always seem to have potty issues, so the upstairs had gotten destroyed and the stair carpet was years old and needed a facelift. I wanted something more pet-friendly for upstairs. I visited 6 other places, including the two biggies (HD and L's) and every estimate was very high. I was exhausted from my all-day search, was going to give up and get dinner, when I noticed American Decorating Center. Tired and frustrated but hey what's one more store. Had I known what was to happen I would have ONLY gone to ADC! From the second I walked inside and met April and Terry, I instantly felt like they understood my frustrating and were both willing to try to make something work. There was absolutely NO sales pressure, in fact when I mentioned I was on a budget--w/o mentioning how much--April immediately said ok there are several other ways we can go that will look just as nice w/o spending a fortune. And when I mentioned my rescue dogs April immediately had the idea to put down vinyl flooring upstairs only and carpet on the stairs. I thought hmmmm....but she was spot on right! AND she recognized--after NONE of the other larger businesses did--that with the special railing I had installed at the top there was no way I could use the other types of flooring I had been looking at--and been given insane estimates for--would work (couldn't drill through the flooring types I had chosen). Jason came out to do the estimate and came in UNDER budget on flooring. And it looks fantastic! I've shown the work to friends/coworkers and already recommended ADC. And Jason was SO wonderful and thorough that I had him estimate my kitchen and bath as well. ADC will be the ONLY company to the work, I won't even look elsewhere. They are thorough, have a great selection of options for whatever your needs, they're professional, and they followed up at every step along the way (thank you Terry!) Most of all I feel like they are truly trustworthy and honest; something lacking in most businesses. I am a customer for life, and anyone else I can recommend them to I will. This was the beginning o So we remodeled our master bathroom and powder room in march of 2016 and paid over 14K for both bathrooms. At the end of 2017 we noticed dark stains on the kitchen ceiling directly above where the master bath is located. A plumber came out in Jan. and determined that the leak definitely came from cracks in the shower not from pipes like we have previously assumed. Tile had separated from the trim of the niches and caused cracks in it and also along the medallion and the the corner of the shower panel itself where the tile pulled away and created cracks. Those cracks let the water flow right through the kitchen ceiling once the shower was turned on. Prior to the remodeling we used the old bathroom for over ten years without ever experiencing any issues! The leaking situation was created with the remodeling of the bathroom, period. In my opinion a newly and expensively remodeled bathroom should last longer than 2 years, there should be no pulling away tile from trim work, that is inferior workmanship. The business owner tries to totally blame this on us by saying that our house is not insulated well enough, we haven't had extreme cold and warm temperatures like these since 1961 and the contraction and expansion of the wooden studs has caused our tile to shift and crack and that is our problem. After the plumber had to cut the kitchen ceiling open in early Jan., American Decorating Center wouldn't come out for 4 weeks to try to fix the problem, clearly they did not care that we couldn't use the shower and they demanded we pay them $400 to do the repair, which took 1 1/2 hours to do. They tried to blame us also for the peeling panel on the upper panel of the vanity cabinet. Well they did send us a replacement panel which somehow I guess we will install ourself. After complaining to them about all of these issues they got a really nasty attitude with us and accused us of being mean to the manager and they were absolutely done with us. I don't know what we will do if we have any more problems! This is a horrible way to treat a disabled veteran. We trusted these people to do a good job. read more
