I stopped by on a Saturday looking to recarpet my entire house, he let me borrow all the samples to bring back to my house, then met me at the house for a personal measuring and final estimate. On Monday morning, he managed to find the exact carpet I wanted in stock and by Monday night, I had brand new carpeting and padding installed. This weekend D & S installed hardwood flooring in our family room, kitchen, laundry room and curved stairs. We could not be happier with the results, and the flooring and stairs exceeded our expectations. It's ironic, because I happen to stop by the store as an afterthought, as we had already narrowed down our flooring contractor down to a final two places. The whole job cost $10,680 for hardwood upstairs the stairs to the first floor. We paid $2100 for high quality vinyl for the stairs going to the basement with the landing, plus tax. This company works with a guy named Mike McDaniels, stay far away from this guy. I called Empire (yes, Empire) to get an estimate, Mr. Daniels came out but he didn't represent Empire, he represents a company calls 'Kmak Floors' ... but then he ordered flooring from D&S ... very confusing and sketchy. Needless to say, it was the worst experience I ever had with contractors. Flooring never arrived. Mr. McDaniels promised 3 different install dates, but never happened. I called but he didn't pick up his phone. Left messages but he didn't call me back. I asked D&S for a refund but they refused, saying it's between me and Mr. McDaniels. I had to pick the flooring and had another company does the installation. Lessons learned ... I'd rather pay more money than to deal with this mess. read more

Mr. Masood was a compete joy to work with. Not only that, but he had the most fair prices out of everyone that we got quotes from. We needed our floors done within a week and a half and he made it happen while others couldn't even meet with us for more than 2 weeks. To begin with, I had several floor companies come by to give me a quote - Mr. Masood is the only one that showed up on time and brought tons of samples. He gave me a fantastic price and ordered the floors when he said he would. His crew showed up on time the day of installation and did a fantastic job. They also took good care of my belongings that they had to move. The crew finished in just five hours, and it looks amazing! I contacted D&S flooring originally to have my hardwood floors sanded and re-stained. I was also looking to have my tile redone in my master bath. The store manager Masood came out to my home with samples of the tile and was told around a 4 day turnaround. The day they came out to take up my old tile I was told their plumber was to busy and had no openings. I contacted a plumber who has done some other jobs for my family and came out that day as a favor to me to see all that needed to be done and to oversee the shower tub liner installation. First of all the tilers were not installing by "code" even after they were told it had changed a year ago. Since I was not having it inspected I thought I would let this slide since it had been done this way for years before code changed. The big PITA out of all this is that I needed to do Massod's job and oversee the entire project including getting by own plumber. The tilers spoke very little English. Let this be a lesson to ask all questions and do your homework. This simple job took over 3 weeks! And to boot the floor tiles look dirty from the installers walking all over them during the initial placement of them. The worse part is they used a plastic piece around my tub instead of bullnose. What in the world were they thinking? I paid for tile, not plastic. They did come to redo with the bullnose but cut the corner piece instead of using the square corner piece that matched. I was told it didn't come in that tile pattern but I saw it when they delivered the tile. Point being is Masood is the typical salesman and tells you what you want to hear. My last conversation with him he hung up the phone on me. With all this going on they did sand and stain my existing floor and add new hardwood in my family room. It looks great and the crew that did the work were very efficient. Bottom line D&S is good for refinishing floors but seek a professional bath remodeler if thinking of using them. Unfortunately for D&S Flooring I have 3 friends and family that wants to redo their existing floors but the aggravation Massod put me through I would not recommend or refer anyone to him. read more

Bought a home that needed top to bottom renovations, including almost 2000 sq ft of new hardwood, another 2000 of old hardwood floors/steps/banisters refinished, another 2000 of luxury vinyl installed, and carpet steps ripped out and replaced with hardwood. Of ALL our MANY contractors (tile, electric, painting, handymen, etc), Masood was the one person who's team showed when he said he would 100% of the time, did a great job the FIRST time (one crew ripped up old carpet and installed all the hardwood in ONE day, and another crew installed the vinyl in ONE day as well - honestly, I didn't think that much could be done in so short a time). He provided great pricing and wonderful service, advising me which flooring would be more durable and ordering in a flooring I liked best rather than pushing me into something easier to get. Christmas morning my basement flooded (with grandchildren playing, it only added to the excitement). The floor was severely damaged. Thanks to D & S Flooring giving us guidelines for further drying and preventing further damage such as mold and mildew they came to our rescue and ultimately replaced the floor which is beautiful!! The gentlemen who installed it were helpful and careful in moving furniture, further drying of the floor and repairing damaged areas. One gentlemen repaired a table which had been broken prior to the holidays (not flood related). It was difficult for both my husband me to get to the store at the same time due to work schedules. The manager, Masood suggested bringing samples to our home! He did after the store closed, and spent time showing samples in different areas. He was careful to point out the square footage is about 2,000 square feet with various rooms and we should select a wood and color that would compliment each room allowing continuity of the floor pattern in the open areas to blend with the casual bar area and an antique room with an oriental rug. He pointed out less light in some areas than others and a darker color choice would not be as attractive as a softer color. His information and suggestions were priceless! During installation he came to our home several times. The work was completed in less than 3 days! I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. I called for an estimate- appointment was at noon. They called at 11:40 to say they were at my house- before I could explain, the guy hung up the phone. 5 minutes later he calls again, and this time, I'm able to get a word in-- and explain I wasn't expecting them until noon and that I couldn't come to the door because I was getting dressed. The guy refused to wait until noon- our appointment time- and left... thinking I would reschedule. Ha! Never will I reschedule with someone so disrespectful. Did he want me to answer the door naked?! I used D&S 2 years ago to install carpet in my bedrooms, hallway, and two stairways. Dealing with Masood was a pleasure. He was able to measure and give me a quote on the spot. Another retailer had to send someone to my house to measure and then it took another week to get the quote. His price was very competitive. The installers were fantastic. They worked non-stop, except for a brief lunch break. The seams cannot be seen. They hauled away the old rugs and cleaned up everything. My brother, who has construction experience, was here the day the carpet was installed. He was very impressed by the skills and worth ethic of the installers.
