The dentist himself was pleasant and professional, but my experience with the office staff has been extremely disappointing. After deciding not to proceed with treatment, I was promised a refund of approximately $900 by the manager/owner for services that were not rendered. The office did process the CareCredit adjustment, but despite multiple emails and follow-up attempts over several weeks, I have received no update regarding the promised refund and no response to my inquiries. To the staff directly: If there is a delay, I would appreciate simple communication and a realistic timeline. Instead, my emails and calls have gone unanswered. The lack of follow-through and communication has been very frustrating and unprofessional. My visit to the dentist was pretty normal overall, and the dental staff themselves were great. However, I did feel a bit rubbed the wrong way at the front desk. When I politely declined the additional services that were suggested to me, the young receptionist with the small neck tattoo seemed noticeably annoyed. People spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars here, and a simple smile or a "thank you" really goes a long way. I also asked a few times for a printout of the recommended services because I'm trying to plan and save, but I was told it wasn't necessary--which was frustrating because I just wanted to understand what costs to expect. They didn't keep me long and they didn't try to scam me by saying I needed more work done than I needed. All the staff were friendly and non-judgmental. Surprised my last scathing review still stands. impressive. not much of an update, but some serious food for thought to anyone reading. Caught up with an old colleague and found out their significant other became a dentist. For laughs and giggles i told them about this experience and showed them my original quote. To no surprise they thought the whole thing is a joke. They were impressed these clowns are still in business....doing what they do. fluffing things up just enough but stay under the radar. I was originally referred here by 2 people I know. which at the time...was on CA state insurance. They said service was good.....cost wasn't really an issue since it was covered courtesy of joe tax payer. Now....the food for thought to be perfectly clear I'm not making any accusations, just my opinions. if they are over billing, milking up unnecessary work, well into the thousands of dollars per patient.... they accept CA state insurance... Forget about ripping me off directly but the state ??? think about that for a moment......... who's tax dollars are they feasting on? that's right, yours !!! nothing special here really, this type of shenanigans happens all the time. in the end i indirectly paid, along with everyone else reading this, been paying for years they've been in business. They are still in business from the look of things and haven't been investigated/shutdown. I scheduled an appointment for a check up and cleaning as a new patient. At the time of scheduling, I provided my insurance info. I showed up for my appointment and was taken to the back within a few minutes. While I was in the chair waiting to be seen, an assistant came to me and said they needed my insurance. I didn't have the physical card, just digital on my phone, so she took my phone and returned it a few minutes later. Over the course of the next hour, I'm asked for my insurance info 3x by two different people and I provide it each time. I let them know I need to leave by a certain time, they assure me I'll be seen once they run my insurance. After an hour passes of me sitting in the exam room, they still hadn't run my insurance and came back to ask for my info *again.* I told her I was just going to leave, she apologized and told me to show my insurance card at the front desk and they can get me in another time. I let her know I will not be coming back. The woman at the front, who I'm assuming is the office manager, did not apologize or say anything to me as I left. Just gave me a dirty look. read more

Hello there! Great first experience here yesterday. I haven't been to the dentist in many years, partly due to concern of how it would go. I'm happy to say that the experience here went smoothly, well, as smoothly as grinding out years of tartar could go of course (I did it to myself, oops). The comfort of coming here will definitely keep me motivated to be more aware of my hygiene habits and the need for check ups. I appreciate the fact my work wasn't rushed either. I have to go back for another round of "torture" as my fellow hygienist jokingly put it hah, but I'm willing to do that since everyone was so nice, from the front office to the back. My only minor suggestion would be we get some kind of banner or something out front since it being my first time I did get a bit lost with the surrounding area being primarily residential. Let's avoid people missing this hidden gem. Other than that though, great experience! I didn't catch anyone's name but appreciate everyone. P.S. I went to Dr. Hanasab's and have been going for about 13 years for two reasons... I trust his diagnosis and I trust his work. He explains the dental work I need every time I go to his dental office and when a doctor takes his time to explain my issues, I feel extremely comfortable with the process and procedures. I hate the dentist I hate to go i'm scared of PAIN. BUT this place is awesome The Dr Who did my oral surgery was so great and calming for me. I had some teeth in the back broken at the gum line and a broken bridge and i didn't feel a thing. After care was a little rough but no pain medicine was needed, at first i thought he was crazy all along nhe was right nothing needed. They have amazing COVID safety measures to keep their guest healthy and safe! They have an easy appointment confirmation texting system set up super easy and fast! The front desk girls are nice and welcoming and have their front lobby looking cute and clean! Everyone is great there, especially Shirley! But, they don't clean your teeth like is stated on their website. Every time I came back for a procedure, they never had any availability and I asked on 6 occasions 2 times on the phone. I moved a distance away and thought I could get teeth cleaning here. But, I didn't know that isn't possible, because my insurance already paid for a comprehensive exam (0150) that included teeth cleaning. I now have to wait for 6 months and I had already waited a year. Also, they offer a birthday gift of a teeth cleaning kit. I was told that it doesn't clean all your teeth, which I understand, but I never received that either. I was also offered reimbursement for an additional service I ended up needing, but never received it. My insurance was charged for a service (cleaning) I never received and I can't do anything about it. I am not saying don't go there. I really like everyone there. I am saying just make sure you get what you are told you are supposed to get. read more

10/10 would NOT recommend. I came here in May of 2024, got a routine check up and they told me I needed work. which, is fine. when it came down the insurance part of it I had dual coverage through my employer as well as the state. I called ahead and let them know and they said that was fine. when they checked it after they said I wasn't insurance through the state. only medical was. my coverage was through my employer. I tried explaining that my coverage will pop up on my medical and she argued me with telling me it wasn't. so I left very upset because I wanted to take care of the issues needed. I called both my insurances and sure enough, i was right. I informed them and even asked if they can send an authorization check to my state funded insurance and whoever answered was more than happy to. i called back after 4 weeks to follow up and was told it was going to take 8 weeks to get a response from medical. . It is now October 1st and I have not heard back. thanks American dental! read more

Update from my previous review. The owner decided to reach out to me (Once and during the holidays. Not several times as their response to my other review stated). The phone call was centered on the yelp review and she didn't attempt to resolve anything besides telling me to come back when I don't trust these people with my teeth. She went on and on about how she's the one loosing in this situation because of the sacrifices she has to make to accept care credit at her office. I only got refunded for the work THEY DIDNT DO. She accused me of posting a picture of my temporary onlays instead of my permanent ones. Pretty sure I know whats in my mouth right now and it definitely isn't a temporary onlay. Pro tip, if you want to run a successful business, please don't treat patients like this. I kept a good demeanor during this phone call, but if you aren't going to talk about refunding my work, I don't expect you to reach out again. read more
