It was after hours so I used the vending machine, which malfunctioned and short-changed me $5.00. I called the posted number and left a message, which was returned by Mr. Swift within an hour. He asked me to stop by sometime and they would refund the money. Today I stopped by during business hours to get another bag of ice and I asked for Bob Swift so I could get credit for the $5.00. After waiting about 5 minutes, he walked by and said he had a million things to do and anybody could help me. He continued into the office while I waited another 10 minutes for someone to help me. Finally, I heard him say to a young guy in the office, "go give this guy whatever money he stole from me and get rid of him". We are small business owners and I cannot imagine treated a customer like that, even if they were in the wrong (which I was not). The way Mr. Swift acted is inexcusable and I strongly recommend against patronizing this business.

So if you were leaving Real early to go deep sea fishing, you would get a block of ice and put it in the boat's cooler to keep All the Fish fresh. I'm talking 40 something years ago. The clarity and jewel-like shapes are beautiful in a drink. Now i go to this shop specifically to buy ice. It may or may not melt faster than ice made from those rodlike molds - but hey, that's how thermodynamics works, it has to melt to cool the surrounding liquid. If I really wanted to look at slow melting ice i use a 2x2x2in cube.
