Michelle, the office lady, was incredibly helpful and accommodating with answering all of my dumb questions and setting everything up. Every time I called, Michelle had the answers. Chris M., the locksmith, was an absolute genius. He would give LockPickingLawyer a run for his money. Chris showed up early, super nice and friendly, and he knew exactly what he was doing. I have had an experience of lousy key making that has had me running all over the west side of Vegas trying to have keys properly made. I have tried having keys made at various places through the kiosks and almost every time I have been met with failure. And despite their guarantee of having the keys for free if it does not work, it turns out that it is such a process to get your money back. I could bore you with stories of all the places that didn't work but let me tell you, I was in and out of American lock and key in about 10 minutes with 8 new keys. And they worked beautifully. They also seemed really knowledgeable about locks and keys. Since they didn't have a similar key, they got someone from the back to help pick the lock. It took a little bit of work and it was opened. Extremely pleased with the service my husband and I received both by phone call and in-store. Jordan assisted us and was friendly and efficient. We were in need of a duplicate key to be made for our vehicle. We initially called the auto dealership and received a quote of $475 for one replica remote head key. Deciding that was a little steep for one key to be made and programmed for our vehicle, we decided to give American Lock and Key a call. Jordan was great and informed us that they are able to create the key we were seeking for $160. He did not have the transponder key type we needed on hand that day, but said it would be ordered and arrive within 3 business days, or we had the option of paying a $10 rush fee and we could have our key created and ready to pickup next day. We opted to pay the additional rush fee and true to his word, the key was there next day, cut, programmed and we were good to go! I own two businesses here in town and I use American for all my locksmith needs. Their prices are reasonable, customer service is good and never had any issues with them. I'm a straight shooter and don't like fluff with it comes to doing business and they're the same which I can appreciate. I also use them for key duplicates as Home Depot can't copy some of the complicated keys we need extras for. I've attached screenshots of my last two invoices where they came down to our business to change all of our display locks. Always transparent with what they're doing. Corey had been our go to guy but he left the company. Jordan was the guy they sent to our house and he was amazing. I expected nothing less with the team over there. I'm unhappy with quotes I Received to get a car key duplicate made.I called the store and asked for an estimate to copy a car key with a chip for a 17 year old Honda.I was told someone would call me back.Someone called me back in 5 minutes and gave me these quotes. For OEM key fob=$349, After market key fob=$266 ,key/chip only=$220. I called a mobile locksmith and he came to my house and made a key/chip only for $135.
