The price and service were good. The communication was clear and timely throughout the process.

During our free estimate and at the time we signed the contract, Mike led us to believe we were purchasing a "Duralum" brand aluminum covered patio (his entire sales pitch used the "Duralum" name and he provided us with the Duralum brand pamphlet). Soon after our covered patio was installed it rained and it leaked. While attempting to find resolution for repair, we incidentally find out our covered patio is not the "Duralum" brand. It is a different brand covered patio (we are unsure at this point was brand it truly is). It is now close to 6 months after installation and we still have a leaky patio and broken roof tile that was damaged during installation with no true resolution in sight. We have come to find this company untrustworthy based on our unfortunate experiences. read more

Patience has been required of this company, because I was a huge pain in the neck, deciding and re-deciding and changing colors and posing questions beyond my quota! Pretty disappointed in this company's professionalism I requested a quote so I decided to send a message in the evening and I received a response that someone would be calling me to discuss my project.They even scheduled a phone call meeting. I waited an hour for our scheduled call. No call ever called nor did I ever receive a message to say why. I understand things happen but usually a business owner should reach out to say something. I'm a business owner myself and I always communicate with my clients. Communication and building a reputation for being professional is key to me and key to who I do business with. My husband and I received a flyer from this company (used to be called the "I.E. Patio Man") back in December of 2022 (when we moved into our new construction home) and after meeting with Mike and Ernie, decided to move forward with the installation. We had a concrete slab put in as well as a patio cover, a which was a special promo they had going on at the time. Both gentlemen were pleasant and professional, and I even referred them to my sister to get her backyard done, which she did. On the day when Mike picked up our check for final payment, he mentioned we would be receiving a referral bonus for a specific amount for referring my sister and getting her backyard completed (we caught his statement on our backyard Ring camera by the way). However, we never received it. My sister had brought this up to Ernie, and he also mentioned we would be receiving a referral bonus (a different amount than what Mike had mentioned), but still, my husband and I have yet to see any form of referral bonus. This is unfortunate as my husband and I were very pleased with the professionalism and the work that was completed by the workers, but cannot stand when we are lied to. If you state something to a customer, I expect it to be fulfilled. And to me, referrals are a wonderful way to obtain business, and now I know American Masters Patios are no longer a company I would be referring to my fellow neighbors and/or friends and family. read more

Wow, we are so happy with our patio cover. Adds a new room to the house. Mike and Eariie are straight shooters. No BS. The both came out to our home and provided an estimate on the spot. They installed it within the time frame quoted, and the price...considering service and the product... were so reasonable. Sought out several quotes and their was the best. I wish this company would've never left their advertisement on my door so I would've never had to deal with them. Where do I start lol... let's start out by saying they had to fire one of their contractors on my job because he went behind my back and tried to get their business from me, made me feel uncomfortable in that situation so I let them know that their employee was trying to take their business. After that my concrete was poured but they never came back to take my curb framing out weeks after, they kept reassuring me that someone would come but no one showed up until it took me texting Ernie saying how disappointed I was. Finally some guy and his wife came to take out the framing. The next week I was getting my landscaping done and my landscaper said my drip system wasn't working which I thought was weird but I put artificial Palm trees in my yard anyways so I didn't care, I just turned off the drip system. Months later HOA told me I needed real trees so I switched them out to just have my trees start dying. I had two different people come out two different times (4 times total) and on that fourth time, he finally found the root of the problem that my main line had been punctured lining up with my concrete that was put in. I then had a landscaper come out to fix it and he told me that whoever framed and poured my concrete had punctured the main line and I had a huge leak. I had let Ernie know and he promised me he'd make it right, they would come out and look at it Tuesday and asked me for videos, which I sent him. Fast forward to Tuesday, heard nothing from them. I texted Ernie Tuesday night asking what happened with no response. Today (Wednesday) I missed a call from Ben saying they aren't coming out, probably wasn't their guys. So I called Ben back three times just to be forwarded to voicemail so I called Ernie back and he said to call Ben cause he was with a client. I called Ben back and Ben clearly didn't like what I was saying and said "if you're going to bully me I'm hanging up and we aren't continuing this conversation" then proceeded to hang up and I haven't been able to get a hold of anyone since. WORST customer service I've ever experienced. Do not do business with this company. Very unprofessional and rude. read more
