This salon is a joke I went in there specifically asking for gel full set and pedi but no polish. Well she miss communication she only gives me a gel nail manicure. She starts arguing with me I should have left but I needed my nails done for the next day. So she gives me a full set I payed $70 for a full set of gel with no polish and pedi with no polish. And two hours later I'm missing two nails. She made them so thin there was practically no gel. So be warned any other place is better than this one. Update. I did go back for them to fix all my nails that Yes broke after just two hours. I went on Sunday for them to fix them and today is Tuesday and I have a thumb nail that totally broke off and my index finger the glue is unattached to one side so pretty sure it will fall off tomorrow. The first day i was introduced to this place was through a groupon pedicure deal, it went fine, until my second visit. A very inexperienced young man did my gel manicure, it hurt so bad and the quality of the gel was bad as well, my gel nails started falling apart two days later, eventhough i do not do any harsh activities. I didn't mind going back for them to fix it, i called twice for an appointment, i booked the appointment two days earlier, i called an hour before to confirm my appointment, but when i got there i had to wait for an hour. I nicely asked them to give me a refund because i can't deal with it any more, the young man was aggressive, was about to attack me physically, eventually i had to leave and he followed me outside i had to make a police report. read more

I got the best pedicure I've ever had here. I hadn't had one in a while and the young lady who took care of me was thorough, gentle and meticulous. The shop is clean and I was very happy with the results. I'm a large person who often has issues with getting pedicures but the staff took great care to my comfort. Great place. read more

Went there for the first time last week and had a voucher for $49 good for a gel manicure, hot stone pedicure and 10 minute massage - the supposed "value" was $75. Not sure how they came up with the $75, given the price they regularly charge for the gel manicure and -pedicure is $49 - when I asked about it, the woman said "oh no, that's a holiday special we are running". Um...I drive through Weymouth landing on my way to work daily and that sign has been out in front of the place since early October, so unless the "holiday" she was referring to is Halloween, that's a total bunch of BS. Whatever. Moving on...then, they charged me to remove the gel polish from my toes - and normally I'd say that is OK, as I understand why (given it is extra work for them). But when I asked (for future reference, given I was getting a gel manicure), they said they wouldn't have charged to remove the gel from my FINGERS if I'd had walked in with gel polish on...that makes no sense at all. Again, whatever. The gentleman DID do a decent job on my nails, and was friendly enough but I didn't ever get my massage which was supposed to be included (and which I paid for!). So let me get this straight...I was charged MORE for LESS? Nice. Not impressed one bit. The "salon" is nothing special (clean but old, no privacy for pedicure, no amenities like beverages, no pedicure driers, wan't offered a nail design or nail art - even for an upcharge). I kept comparing it to the iSpa salon in the South Shore Plaza (top level near Nordstrom's). It isn't perfect either, but it is GORGEOUS, plus they bring you water/soda/tea, etc. and the price is comparable (always running a special). They also do waxing, facials and massages. Bottom line - don't waste your $ or time here. read more

Came in as a walk in to get a pedicure last week. I picked the regular spa pedicure- it was OK nothing to rush back here for. Place was very quiet, employees were sitting on their phone in the waiting area and one employee was taking a nap in one of the pedicure chairs which i thought was very odd and unprofessional. I have been here couple times, and today was the worst experience ever!! I went here cause I made acrylic here like couple weeks earlier, the man who did it for me is super nice. And today I went back again because I want to remove the acrylic. The First Lady used the fake nails to try to separate the acrylic from my nails, I told her it's kinda hurt, so she gave up let the other lady do it for me. The second lady was just using the same way, I told her again it hurts!! And then finally she even broke my own real nail and I was bleeding!!! It damn hurts!!! And yeah, she did say sorry, but she tried to use the same way AGAIN on my other nails cause she said it faster than just using the machine to file down. I told her just use the machine, I don't want my other nails bleeding also. After she told off all acrylic, I feel my nails not smoothing, and try to request can she make it nicer, and smoother, and she said because I was having the acrylic, which I wouldn't have nice smooth nails after I take off. I said I had it before and everyone can make it nice. She said that not possible!! And she was mad and yelled at me said I don't charge you and you can do it somewhere else. BECAUSE she has other customer waiting. I was so mad! If you have no time, you could just tell me at first place, I would just go somewhere else to take it off, why would you start a work and fuck it up?? read more

Ask for Ivy. My nails have never lasted as long as when she does them (a full week for regular and two weeks + for gel!) I'm pretty rough with my hands at work/ life in general but my nails barely chip anymore since Ivy has been doing them. Plus, she is the most sweet and warm woman. The other girls are always so nice too. The only thing I would say is the color selection isn't huge. But honestly the quality I get here outweighs that, and I find myself automatically driving here when it's time for a fresh mani! read more

TERRIBLE. I go here because I'm too impatient to wait for Mai Lien three doors down. But there is a reason why Mai Lien has a wait and American Nails sits empty. The place is dark and a bit dirty with paint spattered on the wall. In prior experiences, I found my manicures subpar (polish not remotely close to the cuticle, nails poorly shaped, etc). This time, I was assigned to a new employee who has been there a month. The nails were poorly shaped. She painted in such a way that there were streaks from the brush so I asked her to fix it. She had to ask her coworker how to apply polish so there wouldn't be streaks. At the end she asks me how long I intend on keeping the polish on. I told her a week. Her response was to laugh and say she didn't think it would happen because the polish was kind of thick because she had to add extra coats. Didn't mention the fact that she had to add extra coats cause of her mistakes. I'm writing this the morning after and the polish is already chipping off. Spend your money wisely and just book an appointment at Mai Lien where it's clean, renovated and same in price. read more

Right in Weymouth landing. Staff is friendly, though there is rarely more than 2 of them there at a time. The salon has something like 4 mani and 4 pedi stations, but they never have enough staff. I went in with a friend once, and there was only 1 other client in there, but we couldn't get our nails done together. However, they give great pedis and gel manis here. Technicians are really thorough and take their time with massages, something that is rare these days. They also will add your tip to your credit card if you don't have cash - something I appreciate since I always forget cash! Just be sure to tell them before they run the card. read more
