**Not Clean** I was there a few weeks ago for the first time! This place was highly recommended in the Everything Weymouth Facebook group so I thought I would give it a try! The first thing I noticed was the tools were not freshly opened and soaking in the same Barbasol for god knows how long. I requested she not use the clippers on me and only file. The file was also not new. That was the pedicure. When I was brought over for my manicure, there was dust and hair on the desk and it was not wiped down before I sat there. When I asked the girl again to only file and not cut, she seemed annoyed. Walked out with uneven nails because I was so keen for the experience to be over. Anyway -I have ingrown toenails-which I told her-she started the pedicure ok but then dug at my sore toenails- I said ouch several times-as she told me to tell her when was enough-which I did-honestly I should have stood up and left but though she'd stop. She kept saying-"just a little more"- I protested again-she made my 2 big toes bleed and throb! I was NOT happy with how I was treated . Called to try to nicely complain to the owner-only to be told that she heard everything and that "There's is nothing I can do about it". I have been a faithful customer of Ocean Nails for the past year and a half. The salon is very clean, bright and follows all COVID a protocol. Jenny and her girls always take amazing care of my nails. Pedicures are relaxing and they do the best leg and foot massages. Ocean does a meticulous job with gel manicures! I often get 3 weeks out of my nails before it starts chipping. I have gotten my brows waxed a few times, and they have come out very good every time. I went to Ocean Nails and Spa yesterday after great reviews by a friend of mine. Jenny did my French manicure. All I can say is this place is awesome. I could not be happier with how she did my nails. My pedicure was also so relaxing. They use hot towels and stones and give a wonderful massage. The music they have playing throughout the salon is very relaxing. I will certainly be a returning customer. Only con I have is that I tried to do a walk-in the day before and they offered only to do my nails stating they were fully booked. As somebody who is on their feet a lot, pedicures are my go to "treat yourself" luxury. I've been trying to find a place in the south shore that has amazing pedicures since I've moved here, and I finally found it! The Deluxe Pedicure at Ocean Nails was one of, if not the best pedicure I have ever had. Amy was my technician, and she took so much pride in her work and did a truly amazing job. This pedicure was at least an hour consisted of four different massages, including one with hot stones. She used solid pressure throughout the entire thing and really relieved all of my tension. The truly unbelievable part? IT WAS $37! I easily would have spent $75 on that type of service. The owner Jenny was also very friendly and did a great job on my gel manicure, which was $25. The music they play is so relaxing, and it's really clean and well decorated. I honestly cannot say enough good things. I'm thrilled to have finally found a go-to. This nail salon is amazing! I go by it everyday and I read the reviews and they were all great so I knew I had to check it out. I called ahead and made an appointment since that's what the reviews recommended. Also, they don't increase the amount due if you're paying with card to include gratuity, so try to come prepared with a cash tip! This place is tiny and quaint with a beautiful blue "ocean" theme going on. I couldn't help but gawk at all the pretty ocean pictures and sea decorations. I got a mani/pedi last night which was $37. I don't get my nails done that often, but it seems like that's on the reasonable/cheaper end of salon pricing, at least in my opinion. I personally think that is a good price. Their chairs are aqua blue so it must be a new change from what's seen here on Yelp; they were so soft and comfortable, and I'm a sucker for those massaging pedicure chairs. I have to agree with the other reviews that the pedicure is absolutely heavenly. Since I got both a pedicure and manicure, my pedicure wasn't a whole hour, but it was about 45 minutes long and they still didn't skimp on the services: foot scrub, hot towels, hot stone massage, and coconut oil massage (that's, like, 3 different massages here- amazing!). Everything smelled so good, too. It was so quiet with just the peaceful music, no distracting TV, so at first I was a little lost, but I was so relaxed so it felt nice to just have that quietness! The manicure was also wonderful and they really do take their time to make sure you're getting great service. For $27 you get completely pampered! You get salt scrub massage, followed by hot towels, and then stone massage, and then a 20 minute? deep foot massage. I don't know exactly how long i lost track while i was sleeping. All I know is that the whole pedicure lasted a WHOLE HOUR. YES 60 MINUTES. (my toes are pretty well kept, with pedis every month) I love how they are all in uniforms (white jackets, this is what they make you wear in nail school, yes i know because I used to be a nail tech so you know I'm a hard critic when it comes to salons) it just shows the professionalism from the owner. Ocean Nails is definitely my new go-to nail salon. I called and got an appointment same morning, which I was told is unusual as they book up. Jenny, the owner, was my manicurist. She is friendly and very sweet, not to mention organized and efficient. She let me know that normally, they don't have the time to take walk-in's because the day books up with appointments very quickly. It's one of those things where...it annoys you when you are the walk-in that gets turned away...but when you are the customer that isn't rushed out to accommodate said walk-in...you really, really appreciate it. Definitely call in and make an appointment here. It's the little things that I appreciate...and unlike many other salons, Jenny has ring trays so that you can put your valuables to the side when they are doing your nails. I have never seen any other nail salon do that before. Very nice touch. As others have mentioned. the ambiance is very relaxing. The whole place is done in a blue water theme and they pipe in soothing spa music (rather than commercial laden radio stations or blaring TVs). It really feels like it's a place to be pampered in. It was clean, and a new, sterilized packet of tools was opened for use on my fingers and toes. I did a bright coral gel on my nails and Jenny was meticulous when it came to the coats of color and getting the edges of the nails so that they won't chip or lift too quickly. She did three coats of color and they look great. There wasn't much of a hand massage to go with the manicure, just a cursory swipe of lotion, but I usually expect that with the gel manicures. I asked about the different types of manicure/pedicures they offer and Jenny told me that in addition to a $25.00 traditional pedicure, they also offer a deluxe pedicure for only $10.00 more. I asked what the difference is and she said that use higher quality products, use a conditioning mask on the legs and up the length of the massage time. It takes about 15 minutes longer than the traditional pedicure. I was sold. Why not? It was literally 30 minutes of non-stop massaging on my feet, calves and toes. There were massages with scrub, massages with masks, massages with oil, massages with lotion and massages with hot stones. I was in absolute heaven. I immediately texted several friends and was like, "you. must. come. here." When I left, I was relaxed and happy...AND my legs were as smooth as a baby's bum and smelled great. I had heard about this salon on a FB forum and everyone was saying how great it was so I had to see what the hype was about. I have been to plenty of nail salons in my time and this place definitely has thee best pedicure chairs around. Most pedi chairs have the back/neck massage well ocean nails has the bum massager too! Loved it! They did a great leg massage which lasted a long time not the 2 minute rub down and slop on the polish. I usually have to pay extra for the longer leg and foot massage at other salons. Also included in the pedicure is hot stone massage. It's such a good deal and there prices are very reasonable. Got my brows waxed too and honestly was probably the most painless wax I have ever had not to mention also got my forehead massaged after the wax. I would of given Oceans 5 stars but they had no TV in there and the music was kind of annoying after 2 songs. They do offer free wifi. I had high expectations, but there were problems that I just couldn't look past. I went in for a manicure, pedicure, and eyebrow wax. I have gotten many mani pedis before, and this had some definite outliers. I'm not one to focus on the negatives alone, so for the sake of being fair, I'll go over both the positives and the problems. The good: - All the workers were friendly and prepared. Since they base everything on appointment, there was no wait time. - The foot massage was longer than average - Great massage chairs - My eyebrows came out good, perfect width and just what I asked for - My nails looked nice The bad: - I have never experienced someone being so rough with the cuticle pushing. She used rapid, high pressure with the metal cuticle pusher to the point where I started to bleed on 2 fingers. Needless to say I was expecting her to go gentler on the other parts. She didn't. - When she used the nipper, she cut my cuticles and dead skin really quickly and harshly, just like with the cuticles (yes, even after I was bleeding from the cuticle pusher). Due to the harshness, she unsurprisingly accidentally clipped the skin on both my pinky fingers, leaving blood on my cuticles even after the manicure. - I typically wouldn't mind her chatting with other workers, but she should've been more focused on not making my nail beds bleed. - The massage on my hands and legs lacked pressure. - The hot stones and towels were barely warm. - During the wax, she spread the wax onto both my eyelids. Needless to say, that was pretty painful to get wax ripped off very delicate skin. read more

Definitely the best salon I have been to. Their attention to detail is incredible. They take their time and don't rush like other salons. Every pedicure is 45 minutes, and most of it consists of massage, which is extremely important to me as I work on my feet close to 50 hours a week. The whole salon is clean, relaxing, and professional. I love that instead of TVs blaring they have soothing music playing. My nails are always perfect for weeks. Every girl greets me by name and are very receptive to my asks (I'm picky!). I've never been treated like anything less than their number 1 customer, and I've witnessed the same customer service to all of their clients. Tina did my gel manicure and it came out great. I picked a dark color, so it took four coats to make it look even. She was very patient and I could tell she wanted to make sure it looked nice. This place is very clean, they open a new package of tools for each clients, which is a must for me. The nail salon is one of the most gorgeous ones I've seen! The staff was kind and happy. The only problem is I hate how my pedicure came out. She started out by cutting my toenails at a slight angle and didn't bother file the edges down so I just have extremely pointy toe nails. Then when she moved on to scrub my feet, she half assed it, looking away the entire time, scraping my actual skin with the pumice stone several times which was painful, needless to say. Not to mention this scrubbing lasted about 3 minutes. This is annoying because my feet were very rough due to not getting a pedicure in about 2 weeks so she BARELY got any dead skin off! My other nail tech would literally spend 10 minutes taking the dead skin of my feet and making it baby soft. Now my heels are STILL rough. Lastly, I noticed I had little nick in the nail polish so I asked her to fix it for me. Instead of removing the previous 3 coats of polish, she added another 2 more. This made my nail polish look really clumpy and just thick looking. I was due for an acrylic refill after she finished my feet but, after the way she'd ruined my toes, I didn't want to get a refill anymore. She was never rude throughout the whole thing but she was just simply an unskilled nail tech. Waste of time and money. Update: Came back and asked them if they could redo my feet because they still felt rough (asked them if they could file down the bottom again) and the manager got agitated and told me to try and scrub it myself??? she handed me the foot grater thingy, and there I was, scrubbing my feet myself even though it's their job to do it, not mine! If I had the same equipment at home I would've saved the trip and done ur myself! Never coming here again to due to rude and inconsiderate manager. read more

I went here last night for a gel manicure and loved it! The ladies are so nice & the salon is very clean inside as well. The woman I had, I wish I remembered her name, did a great job on my nails. I always have trouble because mine are so thin and sometimes short, and she made sure they were shaped and painted meticulously. Other nail salons haven't taken the time to ensure they look perfect and it's probably the best gel mani I've ever had. They are also reasonably priced, which is great!
