They have massaging chairs in the pedicure area, and I'm pretty sure that sitting in them kept me from noticing the earthquake that hit MA while I was there. Absolutely loved my experience here. I was in Braintree visiting my college roommate for her bachelorette and shower weekend. What makes this place stand out compared to past experiences is the following: - So much space! There are enough ladies to do nails and pedis for all 8 of us at the same time. Disgusting service by one of their nasty manicurist! First and last time in the hole of a salon. Was booked for a manicure and pedicure, pedicure was great. Than for some reason they switched me to this brutal and awful woman who was just brutal. I should have never paid and just called the police as it was brutal and this heifer laughed when she was done I guess she got her misery out on me. I ask the salon does she do this to everyone and they said oh no so sorry we will have a talk with her and she didn't mean it...well what exactly did she mean than when she nail assaulted me than. Clienlet's and staffed kept looking when I kept saying ouch that hurts...yet not one staff member spoke up. The mange said she would only refund me if i returned to the salon and if she decides my nails are fine or not and...she could care less about my pain and suffering and by the way she was sitting next to us the entire time and said nothing! I didn't know she was the salon manager until I called back after leaving. Ive never experienced this before seriously. I went for a gel pedicure as a walk in and was absolutely disgusted with my service. I am a nail tech and sometimes I like to treat myself and let someone else do my pedi.. I should have just done it myself. I had gel on my toes already and the gel was not soaked off but RIPPED OFF with cuticle nippers. Next, the tech I had was overly aggressive with my cuticles to the point that I bled (I've never bled during a pedi before) and I had to tell her to stop. I picked a neon color for my toes and I asked the tech to please put a coat or 2 of white under the color because it was fairly transparent.. she put one coat of white and it was barely pigmented.. I asked for another coat of white and she told me no. 4 COATS OF NEON COLOR LATER... and my cuticles are flooded, it's been 5 days and my gel is ripping off. My nails are super crooked and somehow with all those coats of color, you can still see through the polish. She noticed my cuticles were flooded and proceeded to clip off the gel that was on my skin with nippers (along with cutting my skin again). Needless to say I will not be returning. read more

I opened a yelp account exclusively to express my dissatisfaction with this salon. I got a spa pedicure and a full acrylic set manicure with gel color. I have nothing bad to say about my pedicure experience. It was relaxing, the technician gave me a great foot massage, was very gentle and genuinely took her time. Close to an hour from the time I sat in the chair to the time I got up I was being pampered. This is what earned this place the two stars. My bad experience was with Jenn. She was the technician who did my acrylic set. She was very careless with the file. She didn't realize she was making me bleed. Yes, she was very apologetic, however, she kept filing the same area over and over even after I kept fidgeting because my finger was literally throbbing with pain. The cut was deep. She was being extremely harsh with the files. So much so multiple technicians commented on it. They put glue on it and then tried to make it all better by adding cortizone. I have never had such a painful manicure, both physically and financially. Because after enduring all that pain, my total came out to a whopping $70.00. And although my experience was underwhelming... I still left a $10.00 tip. That's $80 for half great service. I'm appalled that a discount wasn't offered after all the bleeding she caused. What kind of customer service is this? I surely will not be returning. For that price I can pretty much go anywhere else and have a more pleasant experience. Also, my nails are not even on both hands. She kept asking me what I thought but I just wanted to get it over with and get out of there. Save your money. Pros: They let us bring in our own champagne and stuff for mimosas The staff was very friendly and helpful Our nails came out great Cons: Parking is really tough, although that isn't really their fault. They clearly didn't do anything different even though 11 of us had appointments. The place was packed when we got there. They took us in two at a time so we were spread out all over the salon and when two pedicure chairs opened up next to the bride, they put two strangers there instead of two of her bridesmaids. They are pricy! A gel mani/regular pedi was $55.00. I have definitely paid less other places. Also, my feet were still dry after the pedicure because they pumiced my feet for all of 10 seconds. My friends manicure took forever because the woman doing her nails kept getting up to do other things. We were there for three hours. As a former "glossy girl" who covered beauty as part of my daily job tasks in NYC, I've had many a mani & pedi. I can confidently say that there is no reason to drive all the way into Boston to find a "better" nail salon. Nails & Spa is immaculate. It is the cleanest nails-only salon I have seen in the area. Their pedi baths & pedi massage chairs (which are fabulous and always work!) can be seen being completely cleaned and disinfected after each use. The staff is cordial, professional, fun and does great work. The higher price is completely worth it. I highly recommend making an appointment regardless of when you go, but certainly for weekend service. Additionally, the technicians do NOT RUSH their work or you. Although they do a large volume daily, Jen (the owner) knows all of her regulars by first name and she makes sure you enjoy the experience of stepping into her salon. Also, what other nail salon offers you bottled water while you wait without charge and has current magazine issues? Lastly, Nails & Spa will do nail parties after hours. Been going here for almost three years and won't go anywhere else to get my nails done or eyebrows waxed :) I've been to other nail places in Braintree and they're like an assembly line--your nail person doesn't talk to you, it's so impersonal, etc. But nails & spa, they welcome you in as soon as you walk through the door, offer you a drink, make you feel at home. Everyone's just so nice. Always best to make an appointment for your nails, especially on the weekends, but i've never had trouble just walking-in when the time strikes me to get my eyebrows done and they always take me in right away. Admittedly, it is a tad more expensive than the assembly-line place i used to go, but the extra money you pay is so worth it. Especially since they take credit cards, and my old place did not. Who carries cash anymore? What definitely won my family over to this place was 3 years ago when we got our nails done here for my sister's wedding--the whole female side of the wedding party plus the moms all got their nails done and they let us have a little party in the waiting room. I went for a mani/pedi after seeing the positive yelp reviews and I am glad I did. Nicely decorated and very clean. The woman who did my nails did a great job. What stood out was the owner. Jen had just gotten a new product in and asked if I had wanted to try it. Having nothing to lose, I said why not. She let me try it for free, and told me if it didn't last as it was supposed to or I was unhappy in any way, to call or come back and she would make it right. She is very customer focused and wants quality products for them. Long story short, I was back the next day because the new stuff didn't last as advertised. Jen saw me and immediately took care of me herself and apologized profusely. The redo manicure was perfect. Great service, relaxing atmosphere, decent prices. I will definitely be back. Just two weeks ago, I decided to have a french Shellac manicure and my manicurist took her time to shape my nails and paint them. They came out looking very pretty! I have been going here for a few years, and I've never been disappointed. Like any establishment, some of the technicians are better than others. By Maya does an awesome pedicure and Kevin (yes, a guy) does a fabulous job on gel/Shellac manicures (they offer Gelish, Shellac, and the OPI gel). I've very, very picky about my nails, and this is the only nail salon I've ever been to that has the same standards as I do. This place does get very VERY busy. But I've never had any problem getting an appointment on the same day I've called. You can expect to wait a bit on a Saturday, but they open at 8:00 AM (wow!) if you really need to get in and out. And, if you're in a hurry, let them know. They'll do their very best to move you through the process. For parking, you can park at the municipal lot a half block over or you can look for street parking. It's never taken me more than about 5 minutes to find a spot, but I'm sure there could be an issue on a really busy Saturday. They offer you free water, coffee, tea, and sodas while you're getting your nails done. A Shellac manicure is only $25 which is really reasonable, and a standard pedicure is about the same. Jen, the owner, is super nice and tries to come say hi to people. She ended up doing my manicure once, and it wasn't as good as Kevin, but now I just request him. This is about the best nail place I've found on the South Shore, and their prices are extremely reasonable. I wish they were open on Mondays, but then they would have to be open 7 days per week, and it's pretty common for similar places to be closed Mondays when they're open on Saturdays and Sundays. read more

They do a great job on nails but don't get a facial here. I got a facial here and exfoliant was in my mouth and inside my eyes. There were no cloth pads to cover my eyes. It was not carefully done. The massage was not good and very brief. The products did not feel good. Was not told what brand the products were but it felt like an abrasive exfoliant. I have been getting my nails done at this salon for years. They always tend to my needs properly and make sure I get what I ask for. I usually ask that they use all new products when I come in because I'm a diabetic, and they have no problem doing so. The owner pretty much knows me by name now, and takes the time out of her day to ask me how I am, what's new and asks about me in general. Even when I'm not in the salon and I just walk by the window, all the employees wave at me. This isn't required of a regular nail salon, but it makes me feel right at home knowing the employees have so much hospitality there. read more

They let us bring in her special drink and cleared space for several of us girls to get our nails done at once. They never rushed us and treated us all like we were special. 2nd I go every couple of weeks to get my nails done. I'm never disappointed! I have one person in particular that I like to do my nails.
