Took my 2 teenage daughters there first the first time today. Being a Saturday i decided to call ahead for an appointment considering it would be 2 full SNS sets and 1 pedicure. We showed up on time but yet still waited for a good 20 minutes... no big deal typically....bit then only one is called back. 15 minutes later my other daughter gets called up. Literally i sat and waited 30 minutes before taken back for my pedi. They fill water in the bowl and then leave.....for another 20 minutes; no joke!!! AMAZING experience its prom weekend so they were super busy, so they stayed an extra 3 hours just to accommodate me and my sister so we can get our nails done. I told the lady that I needed an acrylic fill and showed her a picture of the color and design I wanted. She then went and took my acrylics off and started to put on SNS which I did not ask for. The color was not even close to the picture that I showed her or the design. I have never had a problem with them before I am very disappointed. we had an appointment on friday for 5:30pm thinking it would be easier to call ahead to make sure all 3 of us didn't have to wait or be rushed. once we get there one got taken back then we had to wait approximately 30 minutes until we got called to go back and get started. when we sat down the nail tech started on mine but not the other so another 15 minutes go by and she still has not been started on. i have never been to a salon where every single employee was rude and did not have respect. all of our nails were rushed and done so poorly that we had to come back 3 days later to get them re done because they were chipped and done incorrectly. we paid over $80 each set for awful, messy, rushed nails. i will never go there again. customer service is a must in a field like this and they failed poorly. read more

This is what I got when I asked for a black French with glitter. After she put the gel coat everything went bad. All my glitter went away and he was charging me $80 for this terrible set. Giving them a 2 star review shape wasn't bad. I am really annoyed of this, the lady said she had to add the gel coat or glitter would come off. Even though the glitter is on the pink part. I have been here a few times and have seen some really impressive designs. However last time I was there I went to have the acrylic taken off my nails to give them a break. Worst job ever, she literally ripped them off, no soaking or anything. I could have done that. My nails were long and strong but she damaged them so bad they were ripped and broken to the stubs. Then charged me $27. After that I took my daughter to a different place to get hers taken off. They soaked and removed saving her nails and charged $10. I won't ever go there again read more

I was originally going to post a review with all sorts of praise for Michelle because for the 4 times that I have visited this salon previously, and even this time, Michelle did my sns nails beautifully. However, I discovered on what wil be my last visit to American nails, she is just as sheisty as Steven (the manager) and others whose name I don't know at this nail shop. Long story short, I asked for two toes on each foot to be painted in chrome because my toes which were gel didn't really match the nails on my hand. The man doing my toes tried, and the result was a bunch of little cuts on my toes and all ten toes shined to a pearl at most. I asked Michelle for pointed lashes (a specific style), showed her a picture online and she said she knew how to do it, and the result was even length lashes and a glob of glue in my hair. I felt it when she spilled it on me, but she thought I was asleep so she didn't say anything about it, apologize or tell me how to get it out or anything. Why didn't I say anything? Because there was a woman across from me who was complaining about wanting the bag changed out for her pedicure because it had a hole in it and she felt dirty water in it. The customer made a reference to the nail shop up the street and under her breath Michelle said she should go to the other shop then. I knew better then to complain because that would be what I encountered. Michelle is normally nice and attentive, and todays experience started like that but her mood got very dark at some point and it was downhill from there. So my total today was $153 for a sns refill, a lash refill and a basic pedicure with ten chrome nails (even though I asked for two). My satisfaction level was zero. I tipped Michelle a goodbye tip because I decided to continue my search for a good nail/lash shop that treats me like I should be. Karma will take care of the rest *** Update*** 5 days after lashes applied I might have 5 lashes left. Be warned, the staff here is spiteful. I received a response from Michelle with excuses. She said I spilled the glue cup that was on my head, eluding to it being when I reached for my phone smh. She said she knew I didn't like the way the man did my toes so she deducted cost from her work. She said the lashes I wanted were strip lashes, individuals can't do that. Advise: if your customer isn't happy with the work they are paying for, fix it. Or, if you "deducted from your work" then tell the customer. If the customer spilled the glue cup on her head, tell her. Or, don't put the glue cup on her head. If you can't do a lash look because it's lash strips, tell the customer that it's not possible to create that look, instead of saying you could do it. As you can see, instead of providing customer service, they make excuses and try to make it fall back on the customer instead of ensuring their clients get their money's worth. She told me to shop around other shops to price compare. Ummm, I pay well over $100 to get my nails done every time, no matter where I go. I didn't complain about the price, I complained about the quality for what I paid. I will be calling American Express to dispute my charges because that card guarantees my satisfaction and you can dispute charges when you have been swindled. I shouldn't have to pay for lashes that were poorly applied and hVe mostly fallen off. I wasn't going to bother updating this post to complain about how my lashes started falling off that same day, but the defensiveness and boldness of the response I received moved me to respond. I told them that I had been wearing long And that I was tired of the breaking and I wanted to go shorter so my nails can grow back. They was very attentive to my concerns and Michelle came out the back and started to get to work. She was very open to my preference on how I wanted my nails to be. it was my first time going there, drove an hour just to get there. i walk in and show my inspo pic from their instagram but she can't do it. so i go with basic french tips and got charged 95$ she rushed the whole time and my nails are poorly shaped and lumpy. in my opinion that is extremely overpriced as i can go to a salon not even 15 minutes away from my house, pay about 50-60$ and leave with the same, if not better, quality nails. read more

literally the WORST nail salon experience i've ever had. the woman was so rough when taking off my SNS and managed to file THROUGH my nail bed. she never even apologized and i still had to pay full price. asked for short coffin and received an awful shape and was certainly not short. my pedicure was also bad she dug into my toes so bad it was very painful and she painted my nails awful. So upset because i've always loved this nail salon and their prices but after bleeding and leaving in pain and having to just take off my nails and repaint my toe nails after spending $80 (they increased their prices which I understand) I will never go back. it is crazy i went through this horrible painful experience and was never offered a discount and never even got as little as an apology. sad to say I won't ever go back:( read more
