APC is the best pizza place in town! They are delicious and the toppings are always perfect! The sizes are great too!

Placed a pick order had to wait additional 25 mins for my pizza. Horrible service and pizza was okay.

Was day tripping at the outlets and got the taste for a sandwich. Close by I found American Pie Co. I looked at the menu online and settled on a Philly cheesesteak. It was solid. The meat was thinly sliced and the cheese was cheesing. I loved the onions. My one critique was there were way too many bell pepper chunks. Next time I would do just onions. I ordered a side a fries that weee nicely done. I saw after the order that they have a chicken parm that I would try next time. Not sure about their pizzas but the sandwiches are probably all good. The store was empty but it was clean and the staff was helpful. The only have canned sodas which isn't my favorite choice. But there's a McDonald's next door if you are so inclined. read more

It was a travel day for us and we were looking for a quick bite to eat, and my husband was craving pizza. We went into American pie and each got a slice of pepperoni and a salad to share. The restaurant itself is small with limited seating, the employees were super friendly and welcoming, and the food was delicious. If we are passing through that area again, we will definitely stop back for another slice. Also, the ranch dressing is amazing. read more

Put it on your list of places to try when in the area. I spotted this location on yelp before heading down there. The pizza looked great and the reviews made it look seem even more promising. I must say, I was not disappointed. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza for the crew and a slice of the bbq habanero and chicken Alfredo for myself. Little did I know....when you order a slice you actually get two cloves annnnnddddddd your choice of one soda, tea or bottled water. I imagine this is probably listed on the menu but I was hungry and my stomach was talking louder than my eyes. I called in my order. He got it right the first time with no questions. I showed up just as it was coming out the oven. Service was really great and the guy seemed as happy as I was to see him with my food. The ambiance kinda threw me as this place was not packed and based on the food and service I can't really imagine why not??? We used to come for chicken parm sandwiches when this was Amechi's so we gave it a try. Also ordered slices to go. We watched as the person who took our payment also answer the phone to take and order, then go back and see her MAKING A SALAD WITH UNWASHED BARE HANDS! Hello, Health Department?! I stopped by here because I had a good experience at the other location at CSUCI recently. They are the same company because they share the same website, but each have slightly different menus. The location in Central Camarillo is in a good shopping complex, but has stiff competition with PizzaMan Dan's nearby. This location also has a smaller indoor restaurant and no TVs for entertainment. The service was quick and my food came out in 15-20 minutes. I forgot to take photos of my food, but I ordered a slice of cheese pizza and their baked mac and cheese (a little bummed that they didn't make mac n cheese bites like the CSUCI location). In summary, the food is good and priced fairly. I hope they stay in business with all the competition of restaurants in this shopping complex. read more

BUT, today when I ordered a full pizza it was TERRIBLE- The crust was burnt - it was sitting on top of the oven for awhile even though I scheduled a 1:30 pick-up and was there at 1:25 pm. I decided to try this place now that it's under independent ownership. For better or worse, and contrary to the owner's response to my previous review, nothing has changed; no recipes were "perfected". The crust is decent American style dough. However, the staff has no idea how to top a pizza. The center of the pie was a soupy mess. There was no way to pick up a slice without having half of it stay in the box. They should purposely put less toppings in the center of the pizza because everything migrates to the middle during the bake. A little less cheese and fewer larger slices would also help to alleviate this issue. The sauce is the same. It has either paste, or a bunch of sugar, something isn't right. There's no bright tomato flavor. A #10 can of Stanislaus Tomato Magic or Alta Cucina, 15-20 grams of salt and a basil leaf would be infinitely better. I wish them the best, but they need to step it up a bit. read more

A nice middle of the road pizza spot in Camarillo. I've been passing by this spot and had been curious to give it a try. It's located in the back end of Camarillo so it's not easily accessible as I guess more locals and residents know about this spot as it's away from the downtown area and a couple minutes off the freeway. Either way it's nice to have another pizza spot in town. I can't speak to the ambiance or in person service as I had the meal delivered but credit given for my order being packaged correctly and no missing items. Happy anytime my order is correct so I appreciate that. Also pricing wasn't too bad as it came to about $35 for a pizza and appetizer, remember this isn't a big chain so nice to support a local business which will come with prices being a little higher. Decided to give this spot 4 stars as a total. The pizza was about 3.5/5 and the mozzarella sticks were 5/5 stars all day long. The pizza was average, no frills and just fine. If you want a traditional pizza that will hit the spot this will do. I felt the sauce & cheese flavor was middle of the road but the meat toppings were good and plentiful. Would I crave their pizza? No. But was I satisfied with it? Yes. I would just say this wouldn't be in my top 5 pizza spots that are local. However, the mozzarella sticks were awesome! So freakin good! I love a square cheesy mozzarella stick. Super cheesy and had a great crunch. Delicious. Probably one of the better pizza spot appetizers I've had. They also have the good ranch, yay! Order a Meat Lover medium pizza to go. Pizza was ready when I arrived. Staff is friendly and quick. I got the original crust, and I think the crust is a bit tough. Can't imagine what the thin crust would be like. However the toppings are delicious and ample amount. Located in a big shopping complex, so parking isn't a problem. Pizza came delivered about 25 minutes after the pizza was picked up and past the delivery time. Pizza was cold and soggy. Ordered medium thin well done vegetarian pizza and it looked more like a small pizza. It is overpriced - paid $30! I could have gotten medium size with everything on it and a side salad at a more popular pizza closed by for additional $2- we just wanted to try something different. The pizza was tasty, but it was so different from what was pictured on the menu, it was a total let down. My photo is after I asked them for more arugula and Parmesan. Initially, it had about ten arugula leaves and no Parmesan. Instead of the sliced Parmesan pictured, they added the crumbled shelf-stable Parmesan. I placed an order and after seeing the total and paying they adjusted my order online without telling me and added an additional $6 "adjustment fee" as well as another .95 charge that just says fee, and a $5 delivery fee. How can you add a charge without telling the customer? I wouldn't go into a store and buy something and later have an additional charge added. So in the end I paid $46 for a large 3 topping pizza and a salad. What a rip off. Go to Toppers. No hidden fees. I spoke to the manager (who sounded like a teenager) and all he could say is, it's the website we use, "I'm sorry for the inconvenience I guess". You guess? On top of that the pizza was overly salty, oily and soggy. The ranch is like water. The only good thing out of ordering pizza from here was the driver. Very nice kid. I can't believe the two years that I've lived here I settled for 3 star chain pizza. Tonight I felt adventurous and aside from cooking bacon without a shirt I ordered from APK. Oh boy! I've eaten NY pizza in NY but I'm no pizza expert. But I trust my tastebuds and damn this taste close! The crust was crunchy and chewy at the same time. Sucks cuz I do want this place to be good, but it's just not. I have gone a few times and my order is always incorrect. Ordered a slice and it was supposed to have pepperoni on it. They didn't put it, so when I asked about it, they microwaved a few pieces of pepperoni and stuck them on an already double cooked slice of pizza. Pretty gross. The pepperoni was greasy and soggy, not good at all. I understand if you make a mistake, but properly fix it, especially since it's not like it was a whole entire pizza that needed to be remade. They also packed the wrong dressing with my salad, I ordered balsamic and got Italian. The salad looked ok, but the red onion is in huggeeeee thick chunks on the salad. If you like onion, it's probably fine, but if you're not a huge fan of onion, it's pretty intense. Really wish it was still amecis. They always had better all around service, food, correct orders or properly corrected if it was wrong. I don't recommend going here unless you're good with getting something different and/or sub par to what you ordered. read more
