Went to Toppers again as there salad bar is quite good. We ordered a small pepperoni pizza, a turkey sandwich, two salad bars and drinks. The Braves and the Mets were on the big screens and the place was busy and the ambiance positive. Highly recommended

Toppers ALWAYS hits! I ordered on the phone and came inside to pick up our order. It was ready at the exact time I called it in for. Parking is free and easy in a large parking lot. All employees were super helpful and friendly. The salad bar where you can also self-serve ranch cups to go is constantly being cleaned. They had World Cup pre-game on, what more can you ask for?! The Hot Honey pizza is my family's personal fave, I opt for extra garlic sauce as the base. We tried the Spicy Garlic Italian and asked for red sauce to diversify the sauces. Everything is always cooked perfectly, and I love how the toppings go all the way to the top with minimal crust. My fave pizza spot when I'm in town!

Amazing pizza -- my favorite in Ventura County Truly some of the more creative pizzas you can find Hawaiian heat and hot honey are the best Salad bar is exceptional as well Truly can't beat Toppers' ranch

Blonde in the front, pilsner in the back

Very good pizza at affordable price. Style is thin, but not necessarily new york style. What stands out is the cheese, it is good quality and flavorful. It literally strings when you pull a slice out. They have a wide selection of beers and also wines. I tried their tap pilsner and it did the trick. For out of towners, this is a purchase at the counter and go find a seat place. It's great for families and sports events.

I came a few years ago. But my tastebuds were really off. I was across Arneill and the delicious smell wafted over and drew me in. It was like an olfactory cartoon driven by my wants. I ordered a small Margarita Pizza to go. The line went quick. And the wait for my order was not too long. The girl at the register was very explanatory and thorough. And the people at the food window were quick but kind. I don't know if it's always like that, but there were a lot of orders. A lot of people expediting. I hope they had comfortable shoes... it was non stop movement. The pizza tasted good and travelled well. I think the crust is very tasty and the sauce has a very nice flavor. I think it's a good place to sit down. Super packed but also available tables. Really spacious. Definitely worth a try. Also has a lot of different beers. Loud but comfortable. Glad I stopped.

In my opinion, Topper's has the best salad bar in Camarillo. It's constantly being attended by a server, so the selection is fresh, abundant and it's kept tidy. Dozens of options can make for a new salad creation every time. Their Ranch dressing is my favorite. Servers are friendly. The restaurant is large and airy and also offers a nice patio for outside dining.

How many toppers pizza can you order?!

Ah, to find a star in Camarillo. When I think of pizza, along with all its deliciousness, having been to Rome, Italy, to Southern California, to Vegas, I think this one takes the cake. I do regret not trying the deep-dish pizza while I was in Chicago but I digress. Nestled in Ventura County, in the heart of the sleepy hills of Camarillo, lies a Pizza Parlour, rather, chain, that is known only to the folks of Ventura County. That is, Toppers. This is where all the locals gather, it seems! Only having been in Camarillo for 3 years, whenever I bring the pizza back home to Orange County, it gets widely acclaimed for such sweet ambrose from Mt. Olympus where the gods gathered themselves! "How come we don't have a chain like this in Orange County, the food capital of foodies in SoCal?" they ask. I can see why. This specific place is huge in Camarillo! It's like a chuck. e. cheeses. but for adults! There are huge ceiling fans along with T.V.s in every corner. The brick wall contains historical pictures of Camarillo, the city. It is very nostalgic, yet somehow modern due to its cleanliness. Whether I get shade for it, the Pineapple Express is my choice of pizza. The pineapple fruit somehow pairs nicely with the crunchy pepperoni cups that combine for a sweet harmony of sweetness and savory with every bite, without being too salty. After ordering, and this is a mystery to me, somehow, wherever you sit, as you seat yourself freely, somehow, the waiters know to come to your table without numbers or anything. HOW DO THEY DO THAT? I guess some things remain best, a mystery. Freshly baked, they have 3 stainless steel, huge pizza ovens on a rolling track that is constantly rolling. The Coca-Cola Freestyle coke machine adds a nice freedom of drinks (there are 3 of them). In conclusion, this is perhaps, the best pizza parlor I have ever tasted. The price is a bit expensive, yet, it is totally worth it. The lack of parking spots are testament to the popularity of this chain at this particular location. 5 yelp stars for me!

    14" LARGE.
    John M.

The quality, taste and size has all gone down in recent years. Their LARGE pizza is only 14", which they don't specify on their menu. But if you look at my photos, they're not even that. 12"-13" is more realistic, and the crust is getting thinner too. Maybe Dave Portmoy was right. $33 for a 13" two-topping pizza isn't worth it. Plenty of other choices in town

There were a couple people already waiting in line when we arrived, but no one at the register. After a few more minutes the people ahead of us got tired of waiting and left. We had already had our minds set on a few menu items to try so we waited. The team member who took our order was very nice but a bit slow at the register. We weren't in a rush, so it didn't really bother us. The husband was quite hungry, so we ended up over-ordering -- House Chips & Cheese, Potato Bacon Pizza, Short-Rib Melt and Pastrami. It all came our pretty fast and it was ALOT (lol)! The House Chips were generous, fresh and tasty. The Potato Bacon pizza was delicious! The sandwiches, although flavorful, were kinda skimpy. We felt that we were biting into mostly bread. The fries were hot and super crispy. Service was great overall. There's a flat screen TV in the middle of the dining room that was showing college football. I liked that takeout boxes for leftovers were easily accessible to everyone. There's ample seating inside and several picnic tables at the shared area outside. The layout is nice with three connected establishments -- Freda's, Rori's and Topa Topa. Something for the entire family! :)

I think they have gone through new employees over the years and when it's new employees working the service can be slow. I know one time I was in there and the kid behind the register was going snails pace...unfortunately this was on the local college's graduation day so the place was packed. I should have known better. Like any place, try to go during non-peak hours. Easier said than done with work and such. We just went on a Friday at opening (12pm) and the service was fantastic. We like to sit outside in the covered patio. Parking is awful as the Blvd is always busy. Just have to pray and try to time it out nicely. I do appreciate that Freda's is next to and in same building as Rori's ice cream and Topa Topa Brewing. Pizza, ice cream, and beer/hard seltzer/ciders. And Cafe Ficelle is also next door so add good iced coffee to the mix! Good combination for a couple of hours with friends and the kids.

I walked around and paid for bowling, asking when the pizza place opens, they said "it's open know, just order at the bar." I walk back over, nobody. I wait around a bit and see someone walking around the back, flag them down and order a pizza, half cheese half pepperoni. 30 minutes pass and I went back to ask on an ETA, being assured it was just going in the oven at that point and would be out shortly. 5-10 minutes later it was finally at my lane, I honestly think he had forgotten about it. The pizza looked gross, with sparsely scattered cheese that didn't even look melted, but I chalked it up to the bowling alleys neon lights. I picked a floppy greasy slice up and took a bite to discover the burnt bottom. The sauce was devoid of any flavor, just a water mess that mixed with the grease and dripped in the paper plate with each bite. I guess it was what you'd expect at a bowling alley but I felt disappointed and deceived by the 4 stars on Yelp. In fact we came here specifically to try the pizza and ended up bowling as well. After the first bite I thought to myself that I had paid for it, $25 + tip. I was also hungry, and so I ate 3 slices. I figured if I could get 3 slices down I guess it's worth 2 stars. However a few hours later my stomach was angry with me, it audibly let me know how upset it was, and I fear it's retribution for what I put in it. The place is old, has that old bowling alley smell, and is in need of renovating. That's this critic's review, until next time, I'll be eating.
