Be careful when you go here. Everything works just fine that we encountered except the drain!! If you pull up and see standing water go to another stall! We figured someone had just left and it was too late when we realized someone had come in and cleaned a paint spill or something. What we thought was just suds turned out to be paint scum. There was a paint laden broom off to the side. Again noticed too late. You can see where the a hole pulled in leaking paint and pulled out leaking paint and water. Again we did not notice until it was too late!!! If you aren't expecting a mess like this you don't even see the warning signs It got on our clothes and shoes then our 2014 Fiat carpet, interior door jams and steering wheel. I called the owners number that I got from Yelp (thank you). Left a message but don't expect a call back. Not his fault that there are effing thoughtless morons in this world. I just hope he gets over there and cleans the drain before some other hapless fool gets a paint bomb. read more

American River Car Wash has been a disappointment both times I have used them. It's on old car wash, nothing modern about it and you can tell that the owner of this car wash doesn't take care of it, well minimal at best. The stalls are well lit at night so they have that going for them, unfortunately the vacuums are old and filthy, only one had a light working above it. The change machine area poorly lit and no vending machine with towels, air fresheners, glass wipes ect... NO SOAP CAME OUT OF THE HIGH PRESSURE WASH, NO TIRE CLEANER OPTION AND NO LOUD BEEPING WHEN YOUR TIME IS ABOUT TO END... BONUS-- when I pulled up to the stall there was a guy washing himself... Bring your quarters $2.50 for 4.5 minutes! Both times I have used this place no soap!! read more

The owner is there all the time now. She ruined the place. She always tells me I've been there too long and I need to leave. Maybe I am but I've given her a lot of money so she should relax. She's never nice and always in panic mode. I love how I've never seen her there at night when the place is swarming with crackheads and people parked in the bays not washing a dang thing. Self-service car wash places are hard to find these days. This one was adequate in every way.

I like this place but you got to watch out for nails in the wash bay! I picked up at least 10 in my stall and one next to me too! Not the owners fault , stupid customers are to blame . read more

No soap in the high pressure soap....no wax in the hot wax...just ice COLD water....no tire cleaner....just air. Had a screw on the ground go all the way through my shoe into my foot. This place is ripping people off....its just cold water hooked up to a hose. They are actively stealing your money... read more

This place sucks. Go to Citrus Heights Car Wash. Here it's quarters only, no card reader. First spot I parked in wouldn't take any quarters for some reason. Moved my car to the next bay over. Popped my 10 quarters in. No pre soak fluid. I said whatever and switched it to soap. Laughable amount of soap started coming out of the hose. Sprayed my car down and left, went over to Citrus Heights Car Wash where they actually have soap/pre soak stocked up and I can use my debit card because it's not the 90's anymore. read more

A lot of times no soap and that stinks been using this place for 6 years because it is close but not very good

It got the job done, but the quality of the machines could be improved. Felt there was enough soap and it provided the quality I was hoping for with the value of a carwash like this one. Felt the rinse could have produced a bit more water, but I will be coming back again. read more

It's a car wash. I'd rather wash where the water is recycled than in my driveway - plus, I'm a bit lazy. It's an older place and showing it's wear. So far, I've never encountered a problem with equipment not working. The vacuum hoses tend to have not-so-good suction showing some wraps of duct tape at the joints. The self-service wash bays are usually in decent shape and the sprayers work just fine. I don't use the brush on site. You never know what kind of gritty dirt might be inside the bristles. I take a bucket and my own brush. It's not the prettiest in the area but it works. read more

Tire/wheel cleaner foam doesn't work, engine degreaser doesn't work, Hot wax doesn't work, foam brush doesn't foam enough not to scratch your vehicle. Hi pressure soap and hi pressure rinse works only when washing. Used to have a beeped indicating time is running out, not any more. The vacuum sucks. read more

This place has been here forever it's old and out dated and it's very clean. I wouldn't really recommend this place in less you really don't have the money to go to a car wash. This place only takes quarters to wash the cars as well. And you hardly ever see any staff members if ever working. read more

Well my experience was very unpleasant going to this car wash to clean out my car. We were met with some incredibly rude people, who I assume were the owners, one heavy set woman actually raised her voice at me because we had a bag of laundry out before we vacuumed, and she demanded we leave... I was shocked with how rude and audacious she was to her customers and I vow to never go back again, and warn others so they don't make the same mistake when picking a car wash location. Really needed to find one of these when in town last week. A quick wash before dropping the car off at Dent Pro. It's a oldie but goodie car wash. Everything worked, clean, good water pressure...what more can I say. Hope these self serve station stay around. read more

Conveniently located coin-op car wash. If you keep moving, you can get your ride clean with $4-5 in quarters. They have 5 stalls and an auto wash.(I've never used it) I give it 4 stars cause it's right by my house and it gets the job done for the least amount of quarters from the others in the general area. read more

Don't come to this place it's a rip off you put five dollars in the machine and only gives you four minutes as opposed to $2.50 giving you four minutes you still get four minutes if you put five dollars in there is no warning indicator to let you know you're running out of time this soap that comes out of the bubble brush is not very much at all this place is just bad all the way around you're better off going to quick quack car wash you get free vacuuming there and only cost me six bucks to get your car wash there. Don't waste your time or money here. I've tried every wash bay. This place used to be fabulous, but recently I had the experience of not having full water pressure through the hose, no bubbles in the brush. Zero water coming from the wand when using any low pressure setting. Vacuums don't pick anything up. I have even gone through when there was no soap, or wax apparently in the tanks. And I paid essentially for rinsing my car. read more

Dirty and Filthy car wash. All the Rednecks in Orangevale wash their muddy trucks here and management doest bother to clean the place. Coin machines are old and jam up a lot so be prepared to loose money. Also, half the wash features don't work. Definitely a waist of your time and money read more

Its your run of the mill car wash. Nothing fancy about it. Its very close to I use that when I need a quick clean. I usually prefer to go to a place where they can clean in and out for you (yeah I'm lazy but hey I live in apartments) so this place at least gets the job done. read more
