I have a three seat sofa with a chase on the end. The technician told me $300 when he got to my house which I immediately responded no, that I wasn't going to pay that when other companies quoted me 200 or less. Mind you, the couch is a little over a year old and I live alone. He immediately agreed to $200 which tells me he knew he was over quoting me in the first place. He did a good job, but didn't clean up after himself. I looked at the the water while he was emptying it to see how dirty it was. It was dirty enough to be cloudy, but by no means filthy mud. I had to take a towel and soak up all the water off the floor that was on each side of the sofa. I'm not sure I would use them again. read more

These people are such a scam. I was quoted $129 for a king bed cleaning. I made sure to verify the price multiple times on the phone. They show up while my fiancé was home and asked him if he knew the prices, which he didn't. They then tell him it's $229 or $389. Thankfully he texted me and I immediately called and spoke with the owner (who was at our place) who said "oh it starts at $129 but if you want the cleaning fluid included it's $229 or $389 for even more cleaning". I have zero problem if those are the prices but do not give me a quote that only includes hot water when I'm requesting a mattress CLEANING and show up asking for $100-200 extra for the fluid. Absolutely ridiculous and then he started to try and haggle the price to which I had my fiancé kick them out. Awful company look for someone else. read more

I needed a white couch cleaned and I originally was going to go with Stanley steamers until I found American Steamers on Yelp and I am sooo glad that I did! I called Tal on a Monday and he was able to get me on their schedule that same week! The technician showed up a little late but it was only by 20-30 minutes so that was okay, he wore a mask, was fast, effective and did an amazing job! I ended up getting both my white couch and mattress cleaned. He was able to remove all dirt stains on my couch and sleeping on a freshly cleaned mattress is everythinggg! I needed an emergency carpet cleaning project for a condo I am looking to sell, and had a very limited window of time to get it done. Called Tal because he was local, and the great reviews on line. and I could not agree more. Called him at 12:46 pm and explained my situation. He scheduled me for 3:30 pm on the spot. Barry showed up on time, explained exactly what the project required, quoted me a price (a little more than expected... but we'll worth it), and he started working. By 6:15 pm, he was finished, cleaned up, and out the door. You can't put a price on convenience, but you can put a pice on customer service, professionalism, detail, and quality of work. Barry is great. He likes his job, and he's great at it. Not sure if I ever will need carpet cleaning again, but if I do..... I'm calling Tal, and requesting Barry. I posted an inquiry looking for a carpet cleaning company where I could drop off my remnants; not do in-home cleaning. I received 4 Yelp replies but none offered 'drop off' service. They all did in-home, which wasn't what I wanted. I knew given the years of pet-accidents on my oriental rugs they needed a soaking and scrubbing in a "pit" not a simple in-home steaming and moisture extraction. One of the 4 companies that did reply to my Yelp request recommended American Steamers. I phoned American Steamers and owner Tal invited me to drop off my rugs or he could pick them up. I brought just 1 rug to his convenient location on W. Sunrise Blvd in Plantation, across from the high school. 4 days later it was ready and the carpet was absolutely magnificent. The cost of cleaning this 1 carpet was 50% less than I had paid another company years ago. I expected to pay $250 but Tal's price was $120. Needless to say I promptly dropped off 2 more carpets and have the utmost confidence they will come out equally as magnificent. After doing a home remodel, my house was quite the disaster! We were able to get out a lot of dust, but unfortunately our tile had quite a bit of grout haze throughout the whole floor and we needed professional cleaning. I originally was totally dissatisfied with the job done by American Steamers and posted my experience. Tal, the owner sent a new crew back the following day to redo my floors. Unfortunately though my floors are shiny and clean looking, the guys put several dime size holes in my tiles. I texted Tal the pictures of the damages. I have not been able to get the material needed to repair the holes. I did not notice that the second crew had snapped the chain on my ceiling fan as well and I now need to purchase a new part. They never told me they had done so. I'm sure it was an accident, but they could have told me they did it as well as created the holes in my tiles. I have also not been able to find the product to take out the scratches from my new stainless steel oven the first work crew made. Yes, the second crew took care in placing plastic around the baseboards and cabinets that were damaged the day before. I tipped both workers, but since it was dark once they finished the floors I did not notice the holes in my tiles until the following day. Tal sent his "contractor" out to survey the damage to my baseboards and oven the second day before "crew" two had completed their work and then again with a worker the third day when they repainted my baseboards and cabinet bases. His contractor had to have seen the holes on day three, but made no mention of it, probably hoping I would not notice. Tal texted me continually to remove my first yelp review. I could post the pictures of all the damage my home endured with American Steamers on this site, but that won't change anything. Tal did offer to send his "contractor" out a fourth day, but at this point I do not want anything to do with this company and told Tal just that. read more

Luckily I had recalled seeing lower prices on the website and so I showed him sectionals start at $119. He called his boss and told him that I found the website information. He then said $136. Because I hate bartering I said yes to be done with it even though I feel our piece should be on the lowest end of sectionals. I declined the rug. He then said he could do both for $200. I still declined and was frustrated with the shady practice of showing low prices on the web, quoting high and hoping customers go along with it. The cleaning itself was quite good and thorough so I would still recommend but make sure you pull up their website when it comes time to accept a quote. Saturday morning, cat peed on very expensive rug. By Sunday afternoon, American Steamers was at my house cleaning the rug and neutralizing the offense odors.
