This evening, I called in a takeout order for a Turkey Reuben with Thousand Island Dressing on the side and with fries. I picked up my order and took it home only to find that I was given a Corn Beef Reuben. Since I don't eat red meat, this wasn't something I could ignore. I called the restaurant to notify them that I didn't receive the correct order. I went back (a 20 minute round trip in addition to the initial 20 minute round trip). I think they should have duplicated my initial order given my trouble in having to spend my time and gas money (especially these days) to return to the restaurant for my correct order. But they only gave me the correct Turkey Reuben without fresh fries and without a side of Thousand Island Dressing. I was too annoyed to even raise these issues, as I hadn't eaten all day and just wanted to go home and have a warm sandwich- even with cold fries. The restaurant was also very crowded when I went back the second time (ambiance is that of a bustling diner) and I just didn't want to deal with more time-consuming stress. I usually love this restaurant but am going to take a break. I've posted a picture of the Corn Beef Reuben for those who might be interested. Fries were good the grilled cheese had to pull and it was kinda hard hit good so 3 stars amazing service and nice people

I had a good experience at the American table family restaurant. Service was good, food was good, and ambiance was nice. We stopped in on a Friday afternoon. The place was pretty busy actually! But our server was quick and responsive. The interior was nice as well - decorated like a traditional diner. The food was pretty good. I got the turkey club wrap. It was a lot of bacon and felt a bit unhealthy. But darn it tasted good :) I also upgraded to the onion rings on the side - which were pretty delicious. The thing to get here are the shakes. They're made with real ice cream and taste really good. Overall, pretty good for a local diner. I'd come back here happily read more

Very nice service. My eggs were runny (over easy)when I asked for over medium. Expensive for a diner with $2.50 up charge for blueberries in my pancakes especially when I already purchased the 13.99 meal. And I think its odd that there is an up charge for cheese in peoples omelette. Definitely diner ambience. Probably won't go back. ( been here twice lunch and breaky) read more

Very good local diner. Clean and good service. The big salad with grilled chicken is very good along with the patty melt and hot turkey and roast beef sandwich. Bacon cheeseburger is really good too. Haven't tried breakfast yet but my daughter did and she liked the omelet and hash browns. We will be going back and have , several times. read more

Just a funny little thing about the chef what is a mashed potato? I had steak and mashed potato and what I got was a potato that looked like someone took the potato and smashed it with a hammer and that's what they called mashed potatoes read more

I've been here breakfast,lunch, and dinner and it is the best family restaurant on my area. Just to add the photo posted as the background is fake the pancakes barely ever get soggy and the hash is never that moist. read more

Went there for lunch a few weeks ago and it was very good. Decided to go again tonight and was very very disappointed.. Ordered the all you can eat Cod special. The (fried) breading was soggy, the fish was kind of a gray color like it had been frozen a few times. The service was equally bad. I wanted this experience to be just as good as lunch a few weeks ago.... The restaurant is in the neighborhood, the prices are good, the people are nice, but I will not go back. This place is normally good. However, I took mom here Sunday 9/24/23 at 2pm. Mom left the tip and must not have tipped well lol. A young waitress with blonde hair and pigtails flipped the bird and called us cheap in front of another waitress as we were leaving. Lol. The food is always good though. Lol read more

You can't go wrong with breakfast and I've yet to have a breakfast there that isn't good. The staff is extremely nice there and make you feel very welcomed. Also there is a picture of a wrap on the right side of the menu. It's not actually listed on the menu but you can order it as far as I still know. It is excellent. I won't be back. For starters breakfast for dinner was way over priced and the hash browns were a soggy mess. Portions were decent but they should be for almost $10. Kids pancakes were $3.99 for two large pancakes without meat or drink. Kids burger was $5.45 or so but at least it came with fries. The staff were nice and attentive. She even gave her honest opinion on the food and steered me away from a few things. The decor hasn't been changed since Jimmy Carter was president so I can't understand the exorbitant prices. Gastro pub prices at a place that looks like the set of an Archy Bunker episode. We were very optimistic based on other yelp reviews but left disappointed and never to return. read more

I considered myself a regular. Now won't I be back since they are charging me 4% to use my credit card. Really? Do you charge others for the Ketchup they use on the table that I don't use? Maybe you had to clean the silverware that I didn't use but could still charge me extra for that water you had to use to clean it. Dear business owner - these are things we hide in our pricing. Great down home diner! Food is comparable with Bob Evans but about half the price! I've eaten here several times and can say their burgers are something to bargain with...big & greasy, just how an American burger should be! Great food & great service in a typical diner atmosphere...a great place I can walk into wearing my gym clothes or sweatpants and (not get laughed at) fill my belly for a decent price! I really think it's hit or miss with this diner. The food is ok, the service is sometimes good depending on who you get, but the last time we went in, there was a customer being extremely loud, and rude, so much so the waitress said she wouldn't serve him and they had to get another. It's not the first time either that some customer has been unruly. I know it isn't the diners fault, but given that we decided to go elsewhere from now on. read more

Always have had a good meal. Service has always been great-servers are friendly and know me by name. The quantity is more than acceptable, especially at breakfast. The omelets are huge and filling. Their dinners are very good - the chicken Parmesan and fish dinners are very good. I also like their large Greek salad with grilled chicken. It tastes great and very filling. read more

The service was fine and the food just okay. The fried chicken was mediocre and seemed more deep fried batter than meat. The "green" beans that came with it were obviously from a can. My beef and barley soup was lacking any real pieces of beef. My wife's scrambled eggs were overcooked and her sausages looked burnt. I have found this place to be hit-or-miss. My prior good experiences were overshadowed by the last breakfast I had at this place. Let me emphasize that our server was excellent, but the manager was unfriendly & nasty. I had ordered a spinach omelette that came with a few shreds of spinach. After mentioning it to the server, she promptly brought the manager to the table. When I mentioned the sparse spinach, she simply said that it was the amount that goes into the omelette - case closed - & just walked away. I would have paid extra for more spinach but wasn't even given the opportunity. The manager's lack of customer responsiveness totally turned me off. I do not plan to return to a restaurant where management is so rude. If I hear of new management, I would try it again. read more
