Atmosphere: The Bedford Diner is located in a shopping plaza. There is plenty of parking. When I went inside the Bedford Diner to pick up my food, there was a sign that said to wear a mask and it was enforced. The employees were all wearing masks and I felt safe inside. I walked up next to a dessert case with good looking pieces of carrot cake and cinnamon buns. Food: The Bedford Diner menu has plenty of breakfast and lunch options. It's a stereotypical diner, and while you can find healthy choices, most of the options are the typical eggs, pancakes, and sandwiches. I decided to order the pancakes. Right off the bat, the pancakes smelled delicious. They smelled like warm buttermilk pancakes with hints of sweet flavor. On the menu, it says pancakes are the fluffy Texas pancake recipe". When I opened the to-go box, they barely fit in the container. It made them slightly more challenging to eat but no challenge I couldn't handle. When I dug in, they tasted just as good. I appreciated the sweetness, but it wasn't overly sweet. Service: The hostess as the Bedford Diner was friendly and made me feel safe. She was wearing a mask, and the employees were all wearing masks. The order only took about 10 minutes after placing it. In all, the service at the Bedford Diner was great. Bedford Diner (Temperance, Mi) Cost: $ For my full stack of pancakes, it was $6.49. One of the cheapest diner meals I've had. Overall Thoughts: I liked the Bedford Diner and thought it was a great stop. The food was safe and I felt comfortable picking up my food. I definitely recommend it if you're in the Temperance, Mi area.

    It was alright.

The waitress was very nice and welcoming. I just wasn't a big fan of the food. I ordered some meat(ham, bacon and sausage) omelette. It came with potatoes(bland) and toast. My dad ordered a cheeseburger and said it was delicious. Despite the omelette, I think I would come back and try something different.

    My reasonable bill

Our second visit here 2/1/19. Was there at about 6:20am for breakfast. My wife had the veggie omelette and I had a mushroom burger with fries and a bowl of chili. All of the food was good and as our first time great service. The burgers are cooked as you like them. The chili had huge cut vegetables in it but still tasted good. Was great having a burger first thing in the morning because I am not really a normal breakfast person.

    French toast!

We got lemon berry, pesto chicken crepe, chicken tacos, and chorizo tacos. The people were really nice! I saw ppl ordering and then eating inside the coffee shop with mimosas. Smart! Lemon berry was really good. Enjoy that tiny tart kick from the lemon. Chicken pesto wasn't my favorite. Which I was sad bc I love pesto. But gotta say was didn't enjoy the pesto and there was a lot of it. Loved both the tacos. They melt the cheese onto the shell and that was delicious. Over 25 minutes later, four or five other people had placed and received orders, and there I stood with my buzzer. The crepe pan blew out twice and just eventually got noticed, then they did not start the tacos until the crepe was done. They seemed to think this was funny and cute, "Sorr-ree." I missed about half the event I was there to see. Tacos were pretty good; caprese was a compote of pesto, with very little recognizable as caprese-like. The crew T-shirts say "Better Together," and it would in fact be a lot better if they did get it together. I wonder how they picked me to have my evening ruined.

As super lovely and relaxing vibe. They have a counter that says "Order Here" but there was one other table who ordered at their table and received the check at the end of their meal like regular table service. They offer a guest WiFi network, but definitely would not recommend taking any meetings or calls from this space; it's definitely not that kind of cafe! Food (5/5): I ordered the French Classic, which is egg, cheddar, and ham. It was SO delicious and generously portioned. I honestly didn't expect to feel so full, especially since this crepe wasn't as filled as some of the other ones on the menu, but wow! The crepe itself has a very lovely flavor and well complimented by the thin layer of egg inside. (Sidenote: I've gone back another time since I started writing this review, this time trying the 9am and the Lean Machine crepes. Both tasty and generous with the fillings, but I think the French Classic is still my favorite among the three. You get to taste the crepe itself more, and it's really good!) Service (5/5): I had very obviously portioned off and set aside half the crepe to take home and the staff very skillfully clocked it and handed me a box for it without me even asking. Everyone there is so friendly and attentive, and it really makes me want to keep coming back (and I will!).

I ventured out within a couple of hours of viewing to experience Le crepe on Washington Avenue in downtown Royal Oak. I was greeted upon entering while my 2-high top table was arranged. The ambiance and vibe in this small space was extremely relaxing and the staff friendly. Tiekeya, the owner, was helpful when I explained that it was my first time. My server was her niece, a young lady with a tremendous smile who shared she was a student at MSU as I was wearing a pullover displaying her Alma mater that I know well from paying so much tuition over several years for my children. I started with an enjoyable vanilla cappuccino which was prepared to my liking. I did not feel rushed at all, but the service was attentive and consistent throughout my dining experience. The restaurant was quite popular on this morning and I heard others mentioning the segment on the news. It was funny, as I was texting a couple of friends (foodies) from work who were very curious to hear about my experience. I was sharing quickly upon sitting down as this was a nice treat. I reviewed the menu which had several unique choices and I decided to order The Green Goat which was a crepe containing pan-seared chicken, bacon, Granny Smith apples, and caramelized onions with goat cheese and a little arugula. The combination of flavors was delicious in every aspect! Wow! As wonderful as my main course was, the sweet crepe favorites were even tastier. I chose the Cinnamon Sweet Cheese with bananas which included a crepe containing the bananas and a house cinnamon cream cheese icing that was fantastic! Thanks again to Fox 2 News as I will gladly make the 24 minute drive to enjoy this experience again. I also was thrilled to meet Chef Dennis in the kitchen who I had seen on the news. Do enjoy if you venture out and there is free parking for the first two hours in the nearby garage. Le Crepe was so good that I returned the next day and enjoyed a wonderful local brewed enjoyable coffee while I waited for a table. On day #2, I was really struggling to decide which crepe to try from so many descriptive choices on the menu. I chose the James Dean which was also fantastic once again. It was a delicious combination of flavors of scrambled eggs, a slightly spicy homemade sausage that was a perfect complement, and red skin potatoes with a cherry sauce drizzle. Tiekeya assured me that I can try one of the others when I come back on Tuesday . It is wonderful to meet such a kind business owner and it was refreshing to experience the staff interaction and she shared that I have now become one of her "regulars". I can't wait to come back and introduce family and friends to this amazing menu of tasty treats.

I have only tried the crepes, so I can't speak for the rest of the menu but the crepes are well executed. On a recent visit, I tried the Sky Crepe Signature Chicken Crepe which had a house made curry sauce with chicken and mushrooms. The sauce was delicious and the crepe was enormous. Another member of my party tried the veggie crepe which had egg, spinach, mushrooms, and cheese. This crepe unfortunately didn't have any type of sauce and desperately needed it - a hollandaise would have been perfect. So word to the wise, order the crepes that say they have a sauce. We said whatever comes with it, but we were told we could pick house, Caesar, Greek, etc. we ordered Greek and Caesar but were then upcharged a substantial amount and received full salads. They were good salads but that's not what we wanted. I feel like perhaps the server was new and didn't understand that salads were supposed to come with the crepes. Oh well.
