Awesome spot for a big hearty breakfast! Their menu is large and the flavor is awesome! I love a good mom and pop restaurant with a story and they put theirs on the front page of their menu! We ordered a pretty standard breakfast and it came out in a timely fashion and was piping hot! The waitress was really sweet and our coffees weren't ever empty. I live the inside of this place because it has a large skylight in the middle of the restaurant so it really opens it up. This is the sister restaurant to the Glendale Garden Cafe. I find the staff here to be a little friendlier than the Glendale location and the food is consistently good. It's a good place to stop for breakfast or lunch because it's only open to 2:00 or 3:00 p.m. Not a huge selection of healthy portions but a good place for a cheat day from your diet. The food, in terms of both quality and variety, is superior to most other diners & family-style restaurants. The prices are low. For example, this morning I paid 11 bucks for 2 peach crepes, 4 eggs, and a Coke. Service was horrible.The server is loved by many as a long time server but both time I've had her; poor is all I can say. I asked twice for water with lemon and never received the lemon. Wrong breakfast delivered to me and I was asked if I would eat it. First time eggs over easy both broke and still presented. Today hashbrowns with onions but delivered with green pepper. Remake of breakfast was still wrong, no onion and rock hard toast the knif couldn't even cut. Garbage flies were relentless back by the restrooms. They serve crap ketchup; some tomato second ingredient corn syrup. Bring you own ketchup if you'd like something that tastes good. I loved this restaurant in the past. Had breakfast here one Wednesday morning. The place was pretty busy, but there were tables available and I was seated immediately. I ordered the Breakfast Skillet - which comes with a side of toast and sausage gravy - I also ordered a side of Corned Beef Hash. The Breakfast Skillet looks like an omelet nestled on a bed of hash browns. The egg portion was enjoyable, but the hash browns were in need of seasoning and needed to be crispier. The Rye toast I ordered was buttered - and good. The sausage gravy was rather bland. I added black pepper and hot sauce to it give some flavor. The Corned Beef Hash was your standard out-of-the can hash. I should have asked them to try and crisp it up - it was soft and soggy. You get a lot of food for your money - I just wish it were better. Our first stop at this Diner since my college years. My wife and I try to go somewhere different every week. We drove by and immediately decided why not here! It's an old style diner with a lot of room. They had six servers for quick service. The menu is quite large, so maybe review before you arrive. I had liver and onions. Before you say yuk, it was just like my mom made. My wife had a Reuben omelet with rye toast, the omelet was unique and they used the best (Schwabel bread). I'm not sure what happened to this place since then but they're really skimping on their food, the bacon tasted like beef jerky or more like a pig ear I feed my dog, and the sausage patty my wife had tasted like a hamburger pad just terrible and for two people it was $25 I don't remember ever paying $25 there for two people it's just not worth the money anymore needless to say I won't be back. read more

Great little diner. We both had buffet, only thing I didn't like we the scrambled eggs. They had cheese but still seemed bland. Switched to an omelet and it was delicious. Buffet had both breakfast and lunch items. Service was friendly and they cleared plates quickly from buffet and filled drinks. Did have to wait awhile for our check but they got busy and I'm sure it's hard to tell when folks are done when they are doing the buffet. They are open for breakfast and lunch, with breakfast taking a large portion of their menu. I recommend their omlettes-made with 5 (!) eggs and plenty of fillings. There are a lot to choose from! As far as diners go in Toledo, I think it is probably one of the best. Very consistent, quality food and helpful servers. I have stopped by for breakfast 4 or 5 times in the past four years and every time, I was pleasantly surprised. Food is standard diner fare plus some Mediterranean options. I have had many great servers here too. Service is always prompt and friendly. Very helpful when substituting for dietary restrictions also. While I wouldn't take their food over, say Grumpys, Reynolds Gardens is always consistently above average on both food quality and server attentiveness making this my choice for best breakfast place on the West side of Toledo. read more
