    Deluxe cheeseburger

I wouldn't recommend the Deluxe cheeseburger. It wasn't worth almost 14.00 I got it without the bun and it looked like a McDonalds patty. It was dry and very thin. Service was good. The place was clean not busy.

I had a great time dining at Rick's City Diner this morning. Excellent, hot, fresh food with great portions. Everything tasted delicious! This was my first time trying a Cinnamon French Toast Bake and I was satisfied! They served a large portion, as you can see, and it was very soft and rich. The fruit cup was also plentiful. As for the western omelet it was a pleasant surprise how it was filled from end to end with the ingredients (sometimes at other restaurants you'll find an omelet that is less than full with just pockets of egg and cheese) so this was refreshing to see. They have a very large dining area with also countertop seating right at the kitchen. They also offer a private party room that probably sits between 16-20 people comfortably. The service was very friendly and overall we really enjoyed ourselves. I have no complaints and will definitely dine here again. You should absolutely try Rick's if you haven't already!

This Diner seems to have been here for a while (but recently got an upgrade on the inside) since there were so many regulars here. The menu is great and has something for everyone. I ordered a basic breakfast menu and the breakfast home fries were amazing! My little one absolutely loved the potatoes and were so flavorful. Great spot for breakfast

The Food is amazing. Fresh, organic and delicious. You can taste the quality versus fast food. I feel amazing after and ready to take on the day. The service is wonderful. The servers greet me by name with a smile. Highly recommend.

Went in for breakfast, ordered an orange juice and was ignored by the waitress from there. Basically didn't feel welcome as a person of color. ‍ Paid for the OJ after a waiting 15 minutes to order and left. Good luck.

    Great coffee!

We went again on Saturday. WOW!…read more Started with a Martini for my dining partner and iced tea for me. Both were great. The waiter (Josh, a five-star waiter if ever there was one) really knows how to take care of his customers. He really knows the menu, can explain the dishes along with their components and what makes them unique and paces each course perfectly. He even asked if we were BOTH done before any dishes were removed from the table. Nothing looks worse than one person still eating while the rest of the table has no plates in front of them. We started with the roasted carrot salad. The carrots were perfectly roasted and chilled with and amazing tahini "paste" and radicchio, perfectly dressed with a lemon vinaigrette. OUTSTANDING!!! Seriously, this could have been my entire meal! The tahini paste is great, and I made it once while making a tahini dressing for roasted Brussels sprouts. Tahini naturally gets thick (paste like) when liquid is added. To make the paste, just stop adding liquid to it and stop mixing until it gets smooth again. Seriously, delicious. We both ordered the chicken schnitzel for our entrees. It comes with a really nice side salad consisting of mixed greens, dressed again with a very mild vinaigrette. My only quibble (and it's a really small one) is I would have liked the schnitzel to be a bit thinner. That said, it was perfectly cooked, not at all dry and the thickness is up to the creator of the dish. I don't think there's a "standard" for this (ha, ha - get it!). Great breading and very tasty. The dessert... Again, had to go with the sticky toffee pudding! If this is on the menu, there's no way I'm not going to order it. GOD, it's just a perfect ending to a great meal, well, that along with a pot of French Press coffee. All in all, the meal came to $108.00 excluding the tip. Expensive, but WORTH EVERY PENNY! I spent that much a few weeks ago (maybe more) on a really awful meal/experience at a different place. You'll have to read my old reviews to figure that one out! Anyway, this place treats their employees like they actually appreciate them. They took them on a cruise! Of all the restaurants I used to work at, the best thing I ever received was a shift meal or maybe a cold beer because I was still at the place cooking apps at 1:00 in the morning and the manager wanted to go home but felt bad because I couldn't leave. Thanks for the glass of Miller Lite draft, Mr. Chi-Chi's manager guy! Everyone in the place, from the servers to the hostesses, to the bus folks and the floor manager had smiles and a sense of graciousness and appreciation to each and every customer. Try to find that at any other restaurant in Toledo. The food is top notch, made with very unique recipes and techniques you're not going to find anywhere else. The dining room and restrooms (at least the men's) are clean. I never had to ask for a refill on my iced tea or water. New silverware was brought before each course was served. The old plates were removed from the table after the staff asked if it was OK to do so. Proper training in procedure and etiquette is obvious. Again, just a great meal in every way - 10 out of 10! Can't wait to go back.

After visit #2, I'm not sure there will be a visit #3 anytime soon. The consensus among friends -- confirmed now by our own table -- is that everything is too heavy. The first few bites bring the oohs and the ahhs. By halfway through the plate, the ughs and the oofs begin. The menu reads as thoughtful and dialed in. Our table of four ordered very different entrees -- seafood, steak, pasta, salad -- and somehow every plate arrived at the same destination: rich, savory, dense. No acid. No brightness. And strangely, blue cheese and garlic had crept into every single bite, as if the kitchen could not bear to let a dish leave without them. A meal that should have pleased everyone left most of us with a mild remorse. I felt surprisingly ill for hours afterward -- not because anything was unsafe, not because it wasn't delicious, but because it was simply too much. Too rich. Too savory. The body, it turns out, asks for contrast, and we had not been given any. The service, on the other hand, is STILL outrageously good. Without question some of the best in the region -- better than nearly every higher-end room in town. But the atmosphere is stuffy, the food is one-note, and high quality is not the same thing as good execution. My wife's "medium plus" steak arrived extremely rare. My salmon was undercooked. At this price, that is inexcusable. Still -- the service. The service is something to behold.

Upon entering, there's a long bar where many people gather to sample various wines. There's also an extensive offering of potential gifts if you choose. Yes, pricey, but fun to browse. The overall ambiance is what I would describe as upscale casual, but you can also dress up as much as you'd like. It's a sophisticated and yet comfortable environment and the staff members we encountered were very welcoming and attentive. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Our server, Taylor, was the absolute best!!! We started off with Lemon Drop Martinis that were perfect. (I took lots of pics but not of the martinis because we were thirsty!) We had narrowed our entree selections of salmon down to two and Taylor gave us her honest opinion of what she preferred while also telling us that the other option was very popular. Both my friend and I ordered the lighter salmon entree that was served with lemon and lots of vegetables. (I had previously had the miso soy glazed salmon with coleslaw, which was amazing.) I did not regret trying the lighter version of salmon with the vegetables and finger potatoes. The combination was perfect and the salmon was excellent and not at all fatty. Btw, the calorie count was 570 for this entree... Gotta love that! Since my friend reminded Taylor that we were celebrating my birthday, she brought out truffles with a candle. It was a very sweet and special way to end the evening- even though neither of us could eat another bite. It was boxed up and I put it in the fridge to share with my mom in the next day or so. While my experience at Cooper's Hawk sometimes varies between a 4-5 star experience, tonight was definitely 5 stars! Highly recommend!

The Applewood Smoked Bacon Pizza is by far the absolute best breakfast pizza I've ever had! I'm a big pesto fan & the fresh slightly acidic bursts from the oven roasted tomatoes when you take a bite is awesome! One of my go-to's if dining out for breakfast is a scramble or hash; the smoked brisket hash is a MUST! It's extra cheesy & the smoked brisket alone is unreal!! If you like breakfast on the sweeter side, the Hawaiian Bread French Toast is a great pick! I love all the berries & the berry sauce with it! You have to try it all!!

We didn't realize it at first, but Chef Marcel's wife was our server. How lucky is she to eat so well on the regular?! She was very gracious and patient in tending to our table and answering our questions. Very lovely and down-to-earth! While Chef Marcel is known for visiting with customers, he was too busy iIn the kitchen when we were there. We started with the stuffed large portobello mushroom as an appetizer. It included beets and was delicious. No picture because we were hungry, but check out photos of the rest of our dinners! Two of us went with the weekly special of mahi mahi, which included a salad of mixed greens. The mahi mahi was served on tortilla shells with rice, black beans and cilantro. It was a unique combination that was delicious. Our other friend opted for the chicken marsala with button mushrooms over rigatoni.. She also ordered the brussel sprouts as a side and loved them. The grouper was meaty and mild. Of course we had to have dessert even after a bottle of prosecco! We tried the pineapple carrot cake and the chocolate Panna cotta for the second time. This is the same exact sandwich I've gotten every time I've ever been here which is why I really haven't come back because there's not a lot of selection for me. The other reason is they got rid of the croissants on the menu LOL. The service was fast and friendly and there was about a medium sized crowd inside despite the parking lot being full. They have kind of a dark semi romantic atmosphere I guess they're going for. The chicken sandwich was nice and tender. I'm not a fan of the shoe string fries because they remind me of Steak and Shake and at this price point I think they should have some good fries here. They actually had a few craft beers on tap but I thought the cocktail prices were a little extreme at 15 plus. This truly a wonderful experience for all ages and varying tastes. A tremendous and welcome change we've come to endure from other dining experiences. Here the customer is THE primary focus from the moment you walk in til you walk out the door - BRAVO!! The food, had the Mayberry Mega where you pick your 6 omelette ingredients. Normally a crap shoot in most diners but here it was a home run. The ham and sausage were nice size chunks, juicy, and full of flavor. Spinach, onions, and tomatoes were fresh and perfect sizes and good quantities for the dish. That leaves the cheese my one "ding" would have preferred shredded cheese vs sliced cheese because of flavor and texture - but it didn't take away from a wonderfully prepared omelette made and severed with genuine care. Potatoes were frozen BUT they were prepared exceptionally well for dinner dare they were soft and cooked with a nice crisp. It was a superb surprise and a very welcome one. The coffee was fresh and hot and the standard "acidic" coffees you'd find in most diners anywhere, but overall inviting enough to have a few cups for a discerning coffee "snob" like me. Place was PACKED so all tables and booth were full, but they have a nice counter service with plenty of seating and space to move and eat and be very comfortable for your meal. What's fascinating is the incredible teamwork and collective desire to ensure your time, experience, and meal are spent enjoying your company and food not staring at your watch wondering about time. The entire restaurant was seated, served, and cleared with clean tables within the time I had to get and consume my own breakfast. So if you see a packed house on your arrival and don't desire that counter seat fear not - in this home environment your wait will be short and your day will lose no valuable time - well worth some minimal patience - you'll be glad you did. Your greeted as soon as you walk in by one or more of the extremely hardworking waitresses with a smile - your also sent off with a "Thank you. have a Good Day" by one more waitresses as you leave - both excellent touch of service class enhancing customer experience. I've never seen a more well-run diner or any restaurant from the waitresses to the cooks to the dishwashers the teamwork, attention to details, customer satisfaction, and to the incredible cleanliness of the restaurant despite the constant flow of customers - I've never seen a restaurant so clean and kept so clean the out the day. Upon arriving at My Way Bistro, we were able to park in a handicapped parking spot with a slope to the sidewalk, which was helpful to my mom, who relies upon a walker for mobility. Upon arriving inside the restaurant, we were given our choice of booths or tables. I never realized before that the tables and booths are very high for someone with limited ability to lift their arms. There were no other options that we saw and my mom did her best to settle into a booth that I found comfortable but the table was clearly too high for my mom. It had lots of vegetables and meat, and she said the tszazicki (sp?) sauce was delicious. She also enjoyed the fries. I loved my Georgia Reuben because the cole slaw has a kick of black pepper and other ingredients that make it taste amazing. The homemade Thousand Island dressing was soooo delicious! I was a little disappointed in the fries because they were fried more than I prefer but were still good. Best of all, we both took home leftovers! Seriously, the plates couldn't adequately support the generous portions of food with heaping amounts of fries- and I say that as a good thing! The ambiance is that of an upscale sports bar, but was pretty quiet when we were there, even though screens were turned on. Our server was very responsive and efficient. Overall a great experience and I definitely recommend checking out My Way Bistro for amazing sandwiches (also offer salads that I haven't yet tried) that are levels up from typical bar food.

Found a parking spot not too far from the entry as the wind chill was in the single digits. MyWay was crowded, but we were seated right away. Needless to say, the noise volume was elevated. There was a large group of people on our side of the restaurant that seemed to know one another. They were rather boisterous and seemed to have consumed a fair amount of alcohol. Even witnessed a middle aged woman who could hardly walk out on her own. Prior to her bumper-pool walking style on the way out, as she was seated, she hoisted up her leg and placed her heel on the man's shoulder she was with. Mercy! Alcohol can cause strange events to happen. We both ordered the Blackened Salmon Quinoa Salad with the Walnut Raspberry Vinaigrette dressing. Salad cost $18. To me, the salmon portion was a bit smaller than anticipated, but had a good blacked spiced mix and done very nicely.

Not sure if I expected a honey taste or a typical flaky crust taste what I didn't expect was a complete void of any taste at all. The chocolate peanut butter pie was a bit different had a basic chocolate pudding taste but lacking a huge chocolate flavor like the deep flavor in the vanilla version, shockingly it was lacking was an overall peanut butter flavor while eating the pie unlike its vanilla counterpart where every bite had the PB flavor prevalent in every bite the chocolate version the PB was glaringly absent a big disappointment, the crème topping was balanced and pleasant but thick dominating the flavor of this pie - again the crust however was surprisingly bland and tasteless. Researching menus and the pie history I believe the way it used to be done and now has changed in the past the crème topping was 1/2 the thickness and the PB combo pies had a distinct PB layer between the flavored bottoms and the crème toppings that are lacking in current versions. Past crusts were distinct thickness approx twice the thickness as current versions and a whole different color much browner which would indicate it would have the "flaky" texture you'd expect from their style of pies which currently completely lack any real texture and:or flavor...perhaps it's my batch perhaps I'm being too picky I'm not a pie eater per say but I do know my crusts and what to expect out of a beloved establishment with a rich history in pie making - remember your roots and what made you famous to begin with all the good service in the world won't win you new customers with these pies unfortunately - sadly I cannot recommend these pies for dessert it pains me to write this because I was so happy to see them rebound after the fire - was my first visit as well adding to my disappointment my mum raved about them so expectations were high but alas they failed every level this particular visit - added the picture from your own menu of what I was expecting for visual representation - bring back the past flavors and flaky crust PLEASE!!! PS: Doug & Betty thank you for your reach out and responding to my review it's nice to know owners read reviews - wish more did - I certainly look forward to coming back and giving it all another try - I generally hate leaving bad reviews but also believe in honesty and sharing good and bad, you can't improve what you don't know is wrong - Blessings
