I would strongly advise against going to American Tire Depot in Azusa. About a year ago, I had my brake pads and rotors replaced there. Today, I took my car to another mechanic who showed me that instead of replacing a broken bolt on the brake caliper bracket, they "Mickey Moused" a repair to make it work rather than informing me it had broken and fixing it properly. This is extremely dangerous and could have caused my brakes to fail. I'm incredibly thankful I didn't end up in an accident because of their negligence. Customer safety should always come first, and it's unacceptable to cut corners on something as critical as a braking system. If this is how repairs are handled, I can't recommend trusting them with your vehicle. Please think twice before bringing your car here. read more

What a shame that an ARMENIAN owns this tire center. Absolutely terrible experience. I would not trust this shop. I was quoted $528 for four Hankook tires by Mike, but when I returned the next day, they tried to charge me $675--until I showed proof of the original quote. That alone tells you everything about how they operate. I clearly asked them to save my old tires, yet they threw them out anyway. I waited 40 minutes while they searched, only to be told their truck driver had already discarded them. Then they brought me the wrong tires--one even damaged--and acted defensive when I pointed it out. Customer service was nonexistent. I asked for an owner multiple times and was ignored. When I finally spoke to the owner, he raised his voice and yelled instead of resolving the issue. I had already spent about $1,400 here--the least they could have done was handle the situation professionally. To top it off, when I chose to pay with debit instead of cash because things felt shady, Mike got upset and threw my money back at me. This place lacks integrity and professionalism. I will make sure others know how they run their business. The owner kept questioning why I wanted to keep my tires, even after I clearly stated they were my property. When he continued to press, I responded out of frustration that I'd "put them over my head and go to Iraq." Instead of de-escalating, he replied by telling me to "go to Iran," which was completely inappropriate and came across as a discriminatory, xenophobic remark. These people were raised in barns. I came to American Tire Depot (by myself might I add) at 8:13 AM for a simple oil change, just 13 minutes after they opened. I explained to the employee at the front that I wasn't even sure if I needed the oil change yet because the mileage on the sticker didn't quite match up, but I had smelled something from my engine the day before and wanted to be safe. After receiving my receipt, I waited in my car. While waiting, I noticed workers coming outside and helping customers who had arrived after me. That was frustrating. I eventually had to speak up before anyone took my car to the back. I shouldn't have had to say anything to be acknowledged or helped in the order I arrived. I then stood outside and saw my car lifted on the stand for about 30 minutes without anyone working on it. Eventually, they called me over to discuss issues with my car -- issues I was already aware of and had no intention of addressing at that visit. I had clearly stated I was only there for the oil change. Meanwhile, the couple who arrived after me had their vehicle serviced and completed before mine. What should have been a simple 15-30 minute oil change ended up taking over an hour. Overall, the lack of communication and organization was disappointing. I understand shops get busy, but customers should be helped in order of arrival and kept informed throughout the process. (I'm still waiting here while typing this -- it is 9:20 AM now, and my car still isn't done.) (Another update: i paid @9:41 AM and they're still putting oil in my car) read more
