I had a great experience at American Tire Depot in Granada Hills! I called this morning to ask about pricing for a wheel alignment, and Ray answered the phone. He was professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful. He answered all of my questions without hesitation and made me feel very welcome. Ray was able to offer me a same-day appointment, and when I asked if they had time today, he told me to come in. They took my vehicle in within about five minutes of my arrival! What I appreciated most was that Ray didn't try to upsell me or pressure me into purchasing additional services. Instead, he took the time to explain what would actually benefit my vehicle and shared helpful information so I could make an informed decision. The alignment was completed quickly, and the entire experience was smooth from start to finish. Needed a tire plugged. I called ahead of time, told them what I needed and they made me an appointment. I made it there a bit earlier and went to the office, told them I had an appointment. The guy came out to look at my vehicle and then proceeded to tell me that needed to wait anywhere from 2-5 hours!!! To get a tire plugged!! What was the point of calling ahead and make an appointment?? What was the purpose of coming out and inspecting the vehicle if you weren't able to work on it at that time?? By far the worst customer journey and setting of expectations. Needless to say I didn't stick around. I found another tire shop nearby who literally took me in as soon as I pulled up and began working on my car, and they were just as busy! I was in and out within 15 minutes!!! I would not recommend American Tire Depot for any services. Not sure about their prices on tires, but if they are competitive, maybe buy them and have them installed elsewhere. read more

For many years, and for all my tire issues, I have brought all my vehicles to the American Tire Depot, in Granada Hills. The staff here is always welcoming, courteous and professional. As you may already know, they will fix a flat (the patch up), for free and you walk out without any payment. I recently discovered that, they also do free checks for breaks and alignments and will also do a free tire rotation. If work is needed in these departments, their pricing seems reasonable. And you see numerous high end cars coming here. As for me, most of the time, I have arrived here in desperation, therefore a rushed walk in, after a flat or a near one. For this, the wait can be long, easily 2-3 hours, at least. So this time, I actually made an appointment, because I had a very slow loss of air from one tire. Having an appointment did not help. They took the car in one hour later but, it was done in 15 minutes. However, they did not pump up the tire to its required pressure before giving me the key. In a way, you can say that it is because they are so popular, so busy, and have a daily back log. Not a good excuse. They need to fix this recurring time issue (that bothers many) and hence, have room for constructive improvement. How about better and realistic time slot allocations (appointments and walk ins) and a streamlined workflow management process? So keep these little annoying tit bits in mind. And you will not be upset or disappointed, when you get here to avail of their various car services. read more

Great service! I needed my tires rotated so I called American Tire Depot's 800 line and set up an appointment for the Granada Hills location. I was surprised to find out that they provide free tire rotation service, regardless of where you bought your tires. On the date and time of my appointment, I dropped my vehicle off and had it back to me in about two hours. Besides tires and tire service, they perform oil changes and brake service. My wait time for my flat tire was going to be a couple of hours, since they were ordering the tire from another facility, so i didn't have to wait in the lobby for 2 to 3 hours, they ordered me a Uber home & when my car was ready, they ordered me a uber to come pick me up & take me back to the shop to pick up my car. This review is long overdue. I had a nail in my tire and I was stressed out cause I was losing air quickly. I had just gotten my car back from the shop after 2 months and I was dredding having a flat and needing to spend more money to fix it or even worst, buy anew tire. I called this place and I believe I spoke to a Daniel. He was awesome oevr the phone and told me that they will fix the flat for free if my tire meets certain specifications according to the state of CA and to bring it in the sameday. I brought the car in within an hour after speaking with him, I got them and he checked me in and within 30 minutes, had my tire patched up for free and did not charge me a cent. I couldn't believe it. When I asked him how is this possible, he replied that it's their policy and they hope I will come back for all of my tire needs- I definitly will... nothing is free nowadays, but patching up your flat tire here is! I made an appointment and requested that they have the specific oil my car requires that isn't normally on site. On my appointment day, everything went smooth. Took me right in at my appointment time, yes I had to wait for the service to be done but that is expected. The 2 men at the front(sorry don't remember their names) were professional and very helpful. My car needed a coolant top off also, and they did it at no extra charge. My vehicle does need some other things worked on, and the gentleman was very helpful in explaining and taking the time to look up everything I should be expecting to pay with labor & parts. This business needs some major improvement starting with how they speak to customers. I had a very unpleasant experience here. The person at the desk was rude, unprofessional, and spoke to me in an aggressive manner. Instead of being helpful, they showed no empathy or compassion, which made the situation even more frustrating. It honestly felt like they were doing me a favor by providing their service, as if customers should be in their debt for choosing them. That kind of attitude is unacceptable in any customer-facing business. Customer service should be respectful and supportive, especially when people are trusting you with their vehicle. Recommend: Absolutely all staff/techs/workers are all informative and friendly. Whether it be a flat tire, low air pressure, need tire replacement, or oil change. Seating area: There's about 7 seats in the lobby for you to sit and wait for your vehicle, while it gets serviced. They offer water, a TV to watch, and a vending machine if you need more. Service Quality: I've been coming to them for about 4 or 5 years now, and not once have I had an issue. Very glad I came across this tire shop. read more

A few days ago I waited 4 hours for a tire change, while the manager and another worker sat in the back office literally with their feet up on the desk. When I said "Hey guys I have to go," they got on it right away and filled the tire past the tire pressure limit of 40psi. That should be grounds for termination. Wait, there's more - this shop is literally down the street from me. The first time I went here a couple of months ago I had a leak in the back LEFT tire. They quickly had the back RIGHT tire off and told me there was a gash and that it needed to be replaced. Now the tire I originally had them fix is leaking again. So I guess I need another tire. You can bet I won't be getting it here! Unless it's free and I'm allowed to watch their every move! read more

I took my GT-R for a TPMS issue and instead of just selling me new sensors, he recommended a re learn even though I pre authorized new sensors. He was true to word and got everything nice and cherry. Service was quick, they were nice, knowledgeable, great customer service. Tire was kind of pricey, but it's the economy so it's expected.

Brought my tire in to be patched. They told me it might be hard to patch because of the size of the object than punctured it. I told them to try there best anyways. Left it overnight since they said the glue would need to dry. Picked it up today and they said they could not patch it to hold air. So I took the tire to another shop for a second opinion. The shop showed me the inside and there was no patch or even an attempt at patching. American Tire Depot didn't even try to patch the tire, all they wanted was to get a tire sale. To start, These guys always take way longer than their estimated wait time. I took my car back today, after getting my brakes and a bearings fixed a few weeks ago. Turns out the fixed the wrong bearing last time, and they then tried to charge me double. I called them out on their mistake, which they took care of - but the lack of professional at this place is astounding. My original 1 hour wait turned into an over 5 hr wait. American Tire Depot fixed it within a timely fashion without any charge as they were able to patch and repair it without having to replace the tire.
