Well, they were incorrect, Top Value Transmissions got in touch with me and let me know that they take care of that. Amy, the owner wasn't sure if that was gonna be the actual problem or not until she saw it for herself. So I brought my van out there, it's borderline wheatfield and Niagara Falls, New York.. She had to order the part because I did in fact need the sensor, and it took six days to get there, so I went without a van, but I could've gotten it if I wanted it bad enough I just didn't really care at that point, I was so fed up with needing so much stuff done to the van to pass inspection. Amy found a lot of problems with it, of course. So she replaced the brakes and brake pads and other things that I don't know but everything that it definitely needed. And then eventually did the transmission sensor. Forgetting all the work done that I did it didn't cost too much. I mean it was a lot a lot for me. I can't afford anything is everybody knows, but just under $2000 to get a lot of work done. But just driving it home the van felt like a completely different van. Felt so nice. So she was able to take care of the job. I highly recommend her. She goes into detail about what you need. She's not a bullshitter and she even holds onto the parts that she took from your vehicle that were damaged and shows you afterwards and boy was mine in dire need of parts. Thank you, Amy and crew.

Shifting is smooth, fast, quiet. The car is an absolute joy to drive. The cost was consistent with the estimate even though he found an issue that caused the check engine light to stay on. We were eventually told the truck had been put on the lift and that the transmission needed to be replaced. We mentioned that we believed the transmission might simply have been overfilled with fluid, but that possibility was dismissed without being checked. We had the truck towed to another repair shop, where they found the transmission had simply been overfilled with fluid. Nothing else needed to be repaired. To make matters worse, we were charged a diagnostic fee. If a proper diagnostic had actually been performed, it should have identified the real issue instead of incorrectly recommending a full transmission replacement. Based on our experience, this shop appears to take on more vehicles than it can reasonably handle and doesn't provide customers with a realistic timeline or explain how many vehicles are ahead of theirs. While we were there, we saw several customers decide to have their vehicles towed elsewhere rather than continue waiting. Overall, our experience was frustrating. We found the communication poor, the diagnosis inaccurate, and the service unprofessional. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this shop. STAY AWAY!!

To replace it they needed to tow my car to the dealer only to reprogram it, but overall they were able to get the job done at a lower rate than it would have been had I tried to take my car anywhere else.
