After hitting something big on I90 while on vacation, we were directed to Fox Tire for help and we are so glad we were. Not only did they replace our wheel with an almost exact match on our 14 year old car, they straightened our bent rim so that we could try using it as a full-sized spare once we get home. They were friendly and helpful and we felt in very good hands. In about 1 hour, they found, mounted and balanced the new wheel, straightened the old rim and sent us on our way. So straightforward and honest - they were looking at every option to keep the price down and get us the best value. These guys know their stuff and I would highly recommend them!! read more

Extremely disappointing and insulting experience. I contacted Fox Tire in advance and gave them full details about my set of four Hankook iON EV winter tires, including the size, mileage, tread depth, condition, and no repairs. They told me they purchase used tires and that the range is typically $10-$80 per tire depending on condition and demand. After I brought the tires in, they offered only $10 per tire, then raised it to just $12.50 per tire. That is $50 total for four good-condition EV winter tires that originally cost around $1,000. The offer was ridiculously low and felt like a complete waste of my time. I would not recommend bringing used tires here unless you are ready to be lowballed. read more

Has anybody heard of two month old tires being bald because somebody hit you two weeks ago ALL because you haven't gotten your car fixed because at the repair shop yet because the parts aren't in yet and it's still drivable. but yet I got four brand new tires two months ago and two of them are completely bald. If your in need of wheel alignments, tires, or other work check this place out. They are quite busy, even in the earlier hours of the morning, and don't take appointments. Staff is attentive, and their a plenty of garages for the influx of business. The waiting room is larger, with bathrooms, vending machines, and tv for comfort for your wait. Does anyone else just have terrible car luck lately? No, just me? Fortunately Fox Tire has my back. My dad owed me some new tires for Christmas, so after calling around to figure out good pricing, we decided to go with Fox Tire! I can say overall that going with them was the best decision I ever made. We actually bought the tires last year (2021), they replaced all four tires and did some extra alignment work that needed to happen. Since then they've held up so well, and I haven't had to have any work done with the tires since. Though Fox Tire gave us the least expensive option, they absolutely have the BEST tires to offer, and absolutely fabulous service on top of it. A year later now, I discovered a nail in my tire and was worried it'd have to be replaced. After stressing about the expense of some new tires I ended up bringing my car back to Fox with the original receipt for the tires to get an opinion on whether I would need to replace it. Fortunately, they were able to patch my tire. FOR FREE, because I still had my receipt from buying tires from them originally. SAVE YOUR RECEIPTS PEOPLE!! They absolutely saved my life today. They weren't busy at all so they were able to take my car in right away and patch it up no problem. It took less than ten minutes. FABULOUS service. The team here is so nice and they took a huge weight off of my shoulders being able to take care of the issues with my tires so quickly. When your tire is Foxed up and you can't Foxing drive any further, and when you're like "oh for Fox's sake", it's time to go to Fox Tire. If you don't like this place, I don't give a Fox. It's actually the best value and most honest tire place around... and I would know. Because I never seem to tire of needing new tires. I had a wonderful time getting my tires done at Fox recently (as wonderful as getting tires done can be) because they're very cheap and there were fair and they're fairly quick despite being very busy. While the owners are a little bit gruff and have some attitude issues, one of my good friends works here and I didn't even know he worked here. So he took care of me and was a total sweetheart just as he always was on the soccer field - and for him especially, they definitely deserve their 5 star rating. Fox Tire - I decided to dump the donut and fox hooked me up for 45. It's almost like I hooked myself up. - Tires Near Me - Buffalo, New York

I went there recently due to a spark plug misfire problem and was told I needed new plugs. They had replaced these plugs about two years or so earlier. I was first told by one tech that I would need a new Plenum gasket because the previous time they reused it and could not reuse it again. When I had another worker bring up my previous invoice it showed that I was charged for this gasket the last time they did this work. I asked why I was charged for a new one if I had just been told it had not been replaced. The answer I was given was that the tech made a mistake and that there was no way that gasket could have been reused, so clearly I must have got a new one the previous time according to him. I decided to take the vehicle elsewhere to have the work done as I found that Fox's price was more than $100 higher for the labor. The new shop that replaced the plugs informed me that not only was there no need to replace this gasket, but in fact it didn't even have to be taken off to change the plugs. These people are Scammers and Liars and should be avoided ! Also, after having my vehicle more than 4 days to do a simple power steering pump install, and never once calling me any of the 4 times they said they would, when I called them I was told the work was done and to come get it. After arranging for a friend to come get me and take me there, when I arrived I was told that my vehicle was in fact not done and that it would take another day. I asked why I wasn't called back to inform me of this instead of making me come all the way out there for nothing, never did get an answer. Don't believe anything these people tell you ! I can also tell you that every time in the past I had them do an alignment, I had to return at least three times before they finally got it close. At one point I had purchased tires from them that were wearing unevenly. The tire shop told me that it was due to a bad alignment (which had been done by their service shop) and that I needed to replace them, whereas the service shop told me it was the tires. When I stated that I got the tires and alignment both done there, they looked at the tires again and tried telling me that they were in fact not wearing unevenly and didn't need replacement. I'm calling BS ! read more

I moved to Buffalo from out of state. My driver and front passenger car windows were tinted, which prevented my car from passing NY State auto inspection. I took my car to Fox. A change out to snow tires and or just buying tires and we are always very happy with how we are treated. I would definitely recommend this place as they have never done us wrong. This is by far the most trustworthy car repair/tire shop out in buffalo! Their work is fast, reliable, and the staff are such a pleasure to be around. This is the only place in buffalo I've never had ANY issues with. They will take the time to explain to you in detail what's wrong with your car and how to fix it. The staff are incredibly friendly, super helpful, and overall good people. All of my direct family members go here for car repair, I was just there today getting car repair and they did everything to get be back on the road the same day! I have been a customer of fox tire's or many many years. They have always been very helpful and thy take care of business. They usually have you in and out but on occasion usually Saturday mornings they can be a bit busy! Even then everyone is still working and no one is standing around doing nothing. Possibly one of the most efficient car shops around. I have been there to buy tires and my experience was great. I was out of the shop within the hour with new tires, although I reached there an hour before they close. The only issue I have is, the reason why they received a 4 star and not a 5 star is, I had gone there to buy name brand used tires with the best possible tread quality and the guy at the front kind of duped me a little bit. I was looking for the best tires possible. I had purchased 4 all season tires with the best tread quality they could give me. So what he did was, he kept mentioning how he will give me Goodyear tires. So once all the work was done, I noticed how the front two were Sentury tires. When I asked him about it, he told me how he hooked me up and how those were almost new. My problem is, sentury tires cost around $45-$48 brand new, so why would I go there to buy used tires at $50 that are better than said sentury tires. If I had to buy such quality tires, I could have easily done so. My intention was to receive all 4 tires either Bridgestone or Goodyear, but I felt a little jipped after this. read more

I would not recommend this place for used tires first the only reasonably priced used tires they had they told us it would barely pass inspection like why would you even sell that tire, second obviously we are coming there because we can't afford brand new tires but what they charged us was outrageous for tires that are not brand new. I walked in at 5:10 (the store closes at 5:30)to get my tires changed after waiting at Walmart for over 3 hours just for them to tell me they did not have my tires. Fox tires took my car in and helped me within 15 minutes, had my tires on and let me know the reason my tires were so bad. I will be back for winter tires soon and to have front in work. My boyfriend got me a set of used snow tires here last year and they were the best present ever. They store your tires for free, getting the two sets switched out is relatively cheap since the snow tires last several seasons (I don't drive a ton). They are fast and efficient which is great because they are aleays busy. They plan for it though, every counter is manned, all mechanics seem to be in the shop, even at lunch time. This is a well oil machine of a shop and they're friendly too. Best winter investment ever. read more

I came here fustrated after two other local mechanics evaluated the noise coming from my engine, then saying, "every thing looks good." I knew it wasn't because the noise got louder and louder...Well, I later found out that neither of those shops had a person that specializes in transmissions and/or cooling systems...I came to Fox Tire purley based off their website and yelp reviews lol...I dropped it off on Monday and spoke with Ed, who said from what I decribed was wrong, it was my compressor...Ed called me an hour later and quoted me a price for a brand new part, then said give him a min...he then said he found me a used compressor...my total repair bill ended up being so reaonable and affordable, that I could afford to pay for it lol..I picked up my car by 5 pm and to my delight, the noise was gone, my car rode smoothly and I saved a whole bunch of money...I will be back for everything else including oil changes, tires, whatever because of the expertise of the mechanics, friendly customer service and reasonable prices. Brought my work vehicle for tires and other work and never had an issue. Got to talking with Eric and inquired about new summer tires. Needless to say he hooked me up on some fresh to death Pirelli's for the mustang to look like a pony in heat during the summer months. He also offered to store my winter tires and rims while I'm out enjoying the summer looking fly.. For a white guy . Dunn Tire told me they would not fix my flat tire and that I had to buy four brand new tires because I have 4 wheel drive vehicle. Over $500. My tread is not nearly low enough to cause that, complete bull. Fox on the other hand charged me a whole $16 and had me in and out in less than a hour. Fox Tire is an establishment unlike any other I've been to, yet so Buffalo. The kind of Buffalo establishment that make me proud to be a Buffalonian. They are the Broadway Market (during busy season!) of tires with an enormous inventory, and fantastic deals. The shop even overlooks the Central Terminal, so that's pretty cool too. Last summer, I ran over a nail in gridlock in that construction project on the 990. You know, the project that finally smoothed out a lot of the reasons for busted tires in the first place, how ironic. My tire had a slow leak, and it couldn't be plugged. I just kept filling it with air, as the dealer told me it would need a brand new tire, and the one opposite replaced too, while I was at it, to the tune of $500. On a leased car. NOPE, not happening. After hemming and hawing and being ridiculous with my air compressor, I decided I needed to visit Fox. I came in on Black Friday, and the place was just as wild as a Walmart with cheap TVs. They were able to get me a used tire for $65!!! That's what I'm talking about. So I paid, and sat & waited to be called. Though I was told it would be 45 minutes, I knew that wouldn't be the case. Once you pay, you must stay and wait. I don't know what happens if you don't but my guess is that it's along the lines of what happens if you act out of order toward the Soup Nazi. This isn't a laid back full service kinda place where they take your car and call you back later. This is a pay, get in, get out, and get on with life kinda place. I think I ended up waiting about 2 hours, but damn it was worth it. Just bring something to entertain yourself with (hey, keep it clean!), and wait for your name or car to be called. With the money you save at Fox Tire, you'll have more than enough to buy one of those cheap TVs at Walmart! read more

After the first accumulative storm of the season and a bit of unwanted slipping and sliding) I did some research to find someplace affordable for good used tires. Mr Fox fit the bill! I was a bit hesitant to go out tire shopping as a female alone, but I quickly found out there was no bias tossed my way. Yay! The salesperson i worked with asked me several questions about what i was looking for and what my price range was, then he went out back to do some advance scouting. After he had a few sets chosen he brought me back to make the final choice, again giving me some advice on the options presented. Changing them over, balancing and such was fairly quick while I waited in a comfortable and clean seating area. All told I was there less than an hour. I would most definitely go here again, and would not hesitate to recommend this place to all my family and friends.
