Finally tried American Way and it was absolutely fabulous!!! The Mac n cheese appetizer was out of this world. Bruschetta was delicious with the perfect bread. Squid ink scampi and cacio Pepe were both phenomenal. The kids Alfredo cannot be beat and for 8.99 comes it even comes with ice cream! Such a great family restaurant! Loved our experience! The experience was amazing. The staff were helpful and attentive, the location has an intimate bistro feel and the food is five stars. We tried this restaurant after I saw the article that it was new. It's a small restaurant in a strip mall near a Safeway, but the decor is very nice. Our waitress Nora was very nice and waited on us. I had the Lychee martini and it was delicious my partner had an old fashioned and he liked it as well our other friend had the Pino Grigio and she liked it as well, we all did salads 3 Caesar and one house all were very tasty. We ordered dinner and we all had something different, salmon linguini, seafood risotto, chicken rigatoni and it had the Caicio E Pepe made table side and it was delicious. The calamari and shrimp were well seasoned and really good. The server/bartender was ok. I could not tell if he was nervous or what but he didn't speak much and did not really engage with us. Ordered the Burrata bruschetta for an appetizer, it had SO much flavor!!! I decided on the Cacio e Pepe for my entree, because who doesn't want their fresh pasta tossed around inside a giant wheel of cheese!? It was DELICIOUS!!! Tonight was our first time trying this restaurant. The restaurant is small. It has a nice ambiance and vibe. Their drink menu is very small and the bar is limited on what drinks can be made. I originally ordered an amaretto sour but was told they couldn't make that. I then ordered a whiskey sour and was told they could make it but without the egg whites. Therefore, I settled for an old fashion which wasn't bad. I did have a sip of my cousins tequila sour which tasted good. We started with an order of Fried Shrimp and Calamari which was perfectly cooked and very good. Both of us ordered the Cacio e Pepe with a side of shrimp for the main course. It was about an hour and a half before we got our main course. In my opinion, this was more the waiters fault than the kitchen. Anyway, The Cacio e Pepe was served table side which was a nice touch. However, the Cacio e Pepe was barely warm. It had a good taste but the temperature of the food was a total turn off and extremely disappointing. We ended up taken most of it home to eat hot another time. The manager did come to the table and apologize for the long wait. He informed us there was a problem in the kitchen and our food order and several others were lost. He asked how our dinner was. We informed him the Cacio e Pepe had a good taste but it was barely warm. He apologized and said it's difficult to make that dish and serve it hot. He did comp us a desert of our choice to make up for the long wait time and being disappointed in food temp. We ended up getting the Sticky toffee pudding which was excellent. Actually, that was best part of the meal. Overall, we were very disappointed on this visit. We will probably give it one more try but order something different. read more

We came tonight for our daughter's 12th birthday. Such a sweet hostess. Our waiter, Leo, was incredible! He came with great energy and was very helpful and patient. Our son, Leo was pretty excited to meet another Leo for the first time. Shrimp/Calimari appetizer was delish, passion fruit mojitos were potent, but not too much. Our dinners were sublime.
