Met up with old friends for dinner. Jamie and as our everything: bartender, server and friend!!! We started off with some yummy cocktails. My husband had an Old Fashion and I had a Raspberry Margarita. The margarita was frozen and so good. I am gonna be drinking that all summer!!! It was reminiscent of ZTejas Chambord margaritas. If you know...you know. For food, I ordered the seafood ravioli special. It was so good with lots of extra lobster on top. I was full at the end of the night and the flavors were so amazing. If you like seafood and cheese, grab this. My husband got the Cannoli de Carne. Wowza, this was so flavorful and delicious. Makes me wanna try the lasagna next time I stop in. Which will be soon!!! We've been here before but it has been some time so it was nice to come back again. We arrived just before they opened so the door wasn't open yet but would be opened shortly. We didn't need reservations since we were the first in the door. We were greeted with a smile and seated promptly. It's nice that there's plenty of parking right outside their front door. We've not been here when it is crazy busy so we don't know if parking gets tight later in the evening. Our drink orders were taken after a little time to review the drink menu. We were given sufficient time to review the menu so we could place our orders in a timely manner. Fresh hot bread and olive oil with balsamic vinegar were brought out for us to enjoy while we waited for our entrees. We were there with friends and noted friendly conversations taking place with local regulars and the bar and serving staff. Everyone looked happy and content with their food and drink so we were glad that our friends also seemed happy with their food and drinks too. We got chicken parmesan and cannelloni which were very tasty. The chicken was a little dry but lots of sauce made up for that. One other in our party got linguine vongole which looked like a very full plate of pasta filled with shellfish. I think they were content. It was more than they could finish at dinner so they took their leftovers to go. The staff were all quite friendly as they had been in the past. It is a smaller restaurant so if you plan to go, know that it could get filled up during the dinner rush fairly quickly and they only take reservations for parties over 5. The prices are fairly reasonable as their dishes aren't overly expensive but it's nice to support and eat at a non chain restaurant for a change. We'd recommend giving Arrivederci a visit! read more

Trattoria Arrivederci is a small, intimate spot serving up various Italian dishes. It's so intimate that it can feel cramped. It's definitely one of the extreme rare places where they put a table all the way in the corner where the corner seat is trapped by the other seats of the table. One of my cronies pointed out that it feels like this used to be a diner that is now repurposed into a different genre of restaurant. Their dishes range from $18-$30. The dishes aren't that filling despite their somewhat high prices so you're really here for the atmosphere and excellent service. read more

We had a great experience here while celebrating our anniversary. My partner surprised me and chose this spot since we used to frequent it years ago in Fountain Hills. Bread with balsamic and olive oil for dipping is served first. It is an intimate restaurant and would be great for a date night. The specials today were lasagna and lobster ravioli and one more dish I can't recall. I ordered the lasagna and my partner ordered the carne de cannoli (essentially lasagna but enchilada style). The sauces on both was a vodka cream sauce and it was delicious! My lasagna portion was massive -- I could only eat about 1/4 of it. This place would have received 5 stars if not for my salad. We both ordered the salad with mixed greens and balsamic vinaigrette and most of my salad mix was too wilted for my taste. Excellent service from our kind server. Also super sad: I left my leftovers. GNO and the evenings choice was Arrivederci in Ahwatukee. I tried to call and make a reservation for our party of 4, but was told they only accept for 5 or more. However he said it would be no problem to get us in. The restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall and on the smaller side. Tables only unless you sit in the bar area which has tall booth seating with ample foot rests, which I appreciate being short. We were greeted by Jaime, who might be the owner. Two of my friends had previously been here, he seemed to know them and chatted us up. He went over the specials. For appetizers we ordered the Fried Mozzarella and Crab Cake. Both were just okay. I wasn't impressed with the flavor or quantity of either considering their prices. For my entree I ordered the Chicken Parm. Chicken was HUGE but dry and again lacked flavor. I don't feel like I should have to add salt, pepper and pepper flakes to sauce at an Italian place to get it to taste. Others at the table said their food was good, but didn't seem to eat much. If you are looking for a tucked away, quiet, cozy spot this would be for you. read more

Arrivederci is our neighborhood restaurant. How many people can say a beautiful Italian restaurant in their neighborhood spot?! We love stopping in during the week to grab a relaxing glass of wine or if luck has it a piece of lasagna! It is a great menu with not a hefty price tag on the meals. I mentioned the lasagna which is one of the most popular and best dishes on the menu. They make it on Sunday night and you can get a piece until it is gone! I recommend coming early in the week to not miss out! It is also enough for 3 meals so take it home and have it for lunch and another dinner! Wine selection and tap beer selection nice and the service is good. Max, the owner, is there almost every night checking in on you to see if you are getting what you want. Eat and drink local. I like to come here for a nice but not wildly expensive weeknight dinner. Lasagna is often a special and always worth ordering, especially if you like leftovers. It's quite the serving and absolutely delicious. This kitchen really knows how to do things with tomatoes. They have a nice wine list (at least, in my amateur opinion-- all I need is a nice glass of red with my pasta). Service is reliable, and I've never experienced a wait or needed a reservation. Had dinner here last night for the first time at this little gem in the neighborhood! Regret not bringing out my phone to get some shots of the delicious lobster ravioli! I love lobster ravioli and I have been disappointed at a couple places before. Certainly wasn't the case here. I took my servers word for it when he said "It's Amazing" lol.. it was indeed Amazing! We had a bottle of Red with dinner. Didn't have room for desert or needed it but will definitely try some on my next visit. Service was perfect. Very friendly and cozy environment. The music playing in The background was perfect. It's easy to get to right off Chandler and 42nd. I almost missed my turn into the parking lot on the left because it's right after you turn on 42nd and appears to be right before a safe residential neighborhood. Parking is convenient, wasn't a busy Monday night so not sure how it is on weekends but it's in a small strip plaza. Arrivederci has become a local favorite date night spot for my husband and I! The first time we visited there was a live singer that was so pleasant and not too loud! We love the large selection of choices on the menu and the specials keep us coming back. Last night our server Lena was an absolute delight! She was so knowledgeable on the menu and recommended a "deconstructed lasagna" dish that is one of my favorites so far! She was even able to win over my fussy mother in law with her wit and attention to detail, haha! We stumbled upon this restaurant due to a Groupon deal and we will definitely be back! There's plenty of parking and the restaurant was easy to find. The dimmed lights inside created an intimate atmosphere. Our server was so sweet and gave us a whole run down of the menu. The table bread was delicious and light, perfect to hold you over for the main course. I had the fish of the day and it was okay. I was slightly disappointed over the sauce but the fish tasted fresh and it was cooked perfect. The veggie and rice were good too. Zowie Shebang Boom Quit watching thefireworks, put down your phone, drive there, eat almost anything! I had the lobster ravioli special and it was hard to find the ravioli hidden under all the lobster. There was absolutely no way I could eat the whole thing but I did anyway . My daughter and I dined here yesterday for Valentine's Day. We didn't have a reservation and the place was super busy. Max, the owner (I believe that's his name) was super accommodating and told us not to worry that he would get us seated and sat us at the bar which I understood no reservation busy night, this was perfect! Our entrées took over an hour close to two hours to come out, but the owner kept checking up on us apologizing for the delay I explained to him we were OK. We knew the situation. It was a busy night. The acknowledgment and the attention goes along way plus they brought us some bread which was super delicious! And the food was definitely worth the wait! I had the lobster ravioli, which was a very generous portion, and my daughter had the Alfredo pasta, which was very tasty! The bread they brought before the meal was really good! Served with olive oil and balsamic. The entree was really good I was surprised it was ground meat but it was still good. Would have been soo much better if it were shredded meat. The waitress we had wasn't very nice, she was also a bartender. A man who we assumed to be the owner was soo nice, he would go to all the tables and check on everyone, greet everyone as they would enter and exit, brought us our food as he saw it was ready so we would get it while it was hot, was making drinks.
