Scuffed my wheel on a curb in a parking lot. Very little damage, was all cosmetic as i was barely moving. Called around and most places wanted 550-750 to fix. they wanted to do all this balancing and alignment and sensing stuff. I kept telling them I was going less than 3 MPH and it was cosmetic. Even the dealership said it was no issue. Contacted AWT, got a basic quote over the phone, brought it in, and had it back the next day. Only $250 +tax and the wheel looks brand new. About a year ago I took my lightbar housing to be put on my lightbar. It was a big plastic piece that covers the lightbar that had come off. The company sent me a replacement housing which had been improved by adding 6 metal trusses to secure it so that it doesn't rattle and break off like it did before. Well, I took it to American Wheel and Tire for them to install. About a year later the housing breaks while we are on the highway. When we got home, I took the housing off of the light bar fully prepared to see 6 metal trusses, but they were never installed, and that is essentially the reason it broke again. It cost a mere $200 for them to unscrew and screw back on 6 bolts. Very disappointed in their lack of effort. read more

This was my first experience with AWT and it was a good one. This place does everything. I was surprised how many areas of expertise they are involved in. While speaking with Thomas I right away felt confident he knew exactly what I wanted and that they could accomplish it even though a difficult custom install. I wasn't wrong. We dropped off the truck and bed cover purchased elsewhere the afternoon prior to the job. Next day drug on endlessly while we waited for a call to pick it up. I was a little surprised it took most of the day for just a spray on bed liner and manual flip bed cover. So, when we returned to collect it - Thomas took us out to see the finished work. It was perfect. Made my grandson's RAM look REALLY good. He apologized for taking a little longer and then took us to the cab door. Opened the door. And AMP powersteps deployed when the door opened! We had not expected them to be installed until a return trip the next week due to a delivery delay. But there they were - Installed a week early at the same time as the bed liner and cover! No need to go through another drop off and wait around. AWT was able to expedite delivery of both the powersteps AND some other specialized custom frame-related installation kit required to install on a truck NOT compatible with these powersteps. AMAZING! And all done in one trip. No wonder it took most of the day. It's actually surprising they could coordinate and complete that much work in such a short distance of time. Others told me incompatibility would make it impossible to install the steps. Shows just about anything can be done -if you go to the right place. To make a great experience even better - Thomas threw in a considerable part of the work at . . . NO CHARGE. Not sure I should say that part out loud? Be very careful with financing here. They use a Snap RTO lease that's not a regular loan -- after the 100-day period, it doubles or triples what you owe. I was told I'd just pay it off and be done, but after paying $1,800 I still owed $3,100 on $2,900 rims. On top of which I had 400.00 in they were supposed to put it on the wheels. Ordered some floor liners for myself and wife's vehicle. Prior to placing the order, it was confirmed that the parts would arrive next day, two days tops, so went ahead and paid and ordered. A week went by and nothing. At week two still nothing. I called to cancel my order and was told that I would accrue a restocking fee of 25%, and again with no delivered liners in hand. Was eventually refunded my money at week three, but with a 40% restocking fee, and again with no liners in hand. So much potential to be a great company but they lie just about everything. Took my car to get worked on and was disappointed to see that my problem was still there however I thought it was an honest mistake and took it back where they claimed they had missed something and now had to pay more to fix the newly found problem which once again I believed however after taking it back 5 times I lost hope in them. I felt like they didn't do anything to it, so I took it back to the dealership where I was shown that all the parts I paid for them to replace were still the same. Additionally, they also found that they had removed a few critical parts that control the smoothness of my drive after reaching out to them they refuse to admit fault. Spend wisely and visit PROFESSIONALS AT DISCOUNT TIRE. T C jester location. American wheel and tire caused damaged, made mess, lied, played games in the end costing me more money. Save yourself a headache. Went in on a Tuesday to replace all 4 tires, left with a blinking TPMS light due to damage/removal of sensors, broken center cap, and again, no sensors on any of my wheels including the spare. When I walked after installation was complete, the sales associate mentioned the center cap to me before I had said anything and told me he already ordered a brand new center cap arriving from the Lexus dealership. Come the following Monday I had not hear anything from them and called to inquire the status of the ordered replacement part and to let them know I now have a blinking tpms, was told to call back Tuesday. I call Tuesday and the associate tells me to "come Friday" (Christmas Eve). I go Friday around noon, luckily as they are closing shop considering it's Christmas Eve and told to drive my car around to the back to determine the sensor situation. The part I'm expecting is still not there. One of the tire techs says "sorry about the center cap I've been going every day to the junk yard to find one for you. I found a similar one but it didn't fit so I have to go a different junk yard." So 11 days ago when the sales associate said he immediately placed an order for a new replacement part from the dealership, he lied. I had to speak to a manager, who got things taken care of right away. The salesperson was an all around liar. The tire tech caused previously mentioned damages and furthermore for some stupid reason or another, either him or another employee went inside the rear of my vehicle and put their dirty handprints on my headliner. The "owner" sucks as well. Spoke with him on the phone. No professionalism what so ever. Sounds like a young kid. The manager was the only one with any ounce of professionalism. read more

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS FOR YOUR MECHANIC NEEDS. I went in for what I thought was a normal request, a level and all terrain tires. Every single aspect they completely dropped the ball (putting it lightly). Issue #1 - Install was supposed to take place on a certain date, dropped the truck off first thing in the morning. They call at 3:30 saying they could not get to it and had to reschedule. Issue #2 - Once install was completed after the reschedule, they forgot to lock my truck and had a homeless person walk right up to my truck and steal an item in my center console in broad daylight right in the front parking spot of their store (granted they replaced the item but that's besides the point considering everything happening here and overall neglect for customer items). Issue #3 - Installation of the incorrect tires making me go back for a 3rd time for the correct tires. Issue #4 - At no point in time did they ask if I had a preference in a specific level I would like (manufacturer, size, etc.) so the incorrect level was put on my truck and nothing was done about this. Just had to live with it. I'm not huge into cars/mechanic needs but I know what stance I was wanting and that need was not met. I am a very easy going customer, at no point in time did I lose my cool or didn't work with them but you have to draw a line in the sand somewhere. By far the worst business acquisition I have ever done with anything in my lifetime if I'm being completely honest. Our golf cart was in bad need of 4 new tires and I shopped around online but I knew it would take some work to change out the tires myself. Thankfully Nang at American Wheel and Tire came to the rescue. Our cart tires are not a brand AWT normally stocks but there were able to have them delivered to the shop in one day. The pricing was in line with I found online and best of all I would't have to do the labor. The next day I had my truck washed and these Vogue tires still yellowish around the white walls. Called Bayron at American Wheel and tires and he telling me to use something off Amazon which they no longer sells. I call and call to get the run around. Now they telling me to take the tires off to send back to vogue to see if they will value the warranty but in the mean time is to purchase new ones. Who in the heck will have money for that. STAY AWAY! I came here because they were close to home and had some ok reviews. The first guy handling my RAM was Gerald and he was awesome. He helped me pick out the look I wanted for my truck and got me a nice package. My package was Tires, Rims, Side Step, and Level kit all for $2900. Cool! Applied for Financing got approved, brought my truck in for the work. When I picked it up they told me they had the wrong side steps so I would have to come back. Ok cool no problem again. I drive it and notice that my truck is drifting anytime I try to merge into another lane. And in houston sometimes you gotta swerve to get tf out someone's way and here I am doing 50mph and losing control of my truck. My truck WAS NOT doing that before the work. Not only that when I brought it to a buddy of mines he noticed that I had mud tires on them instead of what I thought I was getting which was All terrains. Checked my invoice again and sure enough they were MT. Called them up to let them know all of these issues: Truck is drifting, wrong tires, and I'll need the side step. They take care of it and I think everything is cool. I ask for an updated Invoice since there was a change in the tires I wanted to make sure that I was being charged correctly. THOMAS said they would email it to me. Never did. Fast forward a few months later and my truck is rattling. I haven't had any work done to my truck minus the oil change I got since they've touched it. I get a mechanic out to look at it and he finds my sway bar links have been damaged! There's no way in hell they would've been damaged just driving around. I go back and speak with the manager JASON who tells me that they'll look at it and that THOMAS never updated my invoice. He didn't know what fucking tires I had on my truck. He tells me to drop it off again and I will have an updated invoice when I pick it up. WRONG! I pick up my truck and while the problem is fixed i still don't have an updated invoice. So for all I know I'm paying for mud tires that aren't even on my truck! I refuse to bring my truck back to them anymNot to mention the additional dent I now have on my truck since picking it up. I WILL NEVER USE NOR REFER ANYONE TO THEM!! Only giving 2 stars because the place was really nice and had a great selection. I went in one morning and walked in, looked around, and never was greeted or even acknowledged. Multiple "sales guys" were just behind the counter. Granted, there were a few customers up there but still a few guys who didnt seem to be helping anyone. I had to walk up and ask for help. I told the guy what I wanted and what kind of car I had and the whole time as I am talking he looked like I was just wasting his time. He immediately spat out a price and then walked off. Didnt ask me how that sounded or if I wanted to proceed. So I left and ended up purchasing a nice set of wheels and tires from a different store in town that also came in cheaper AND also gave me a really good price on my stock wheels, as AWT only said they would give me 300 dollars for my 19" OEM wheels with brand new Bridgestone tires. I took both of my vehicles here. The first time everything went perfect. Dropped my truck off in the morning and picked up in the afternoon. Although the second time we ordered wheels, lift kit and rims with these guys it was the WORST experience ever. I dropped my car off on day 1 and left. They called me an hour or two later saying they ordered the wrong parts so we were going to have to go pick it up. Then they schedule me two weeks later and I drop the car off and an hour later the gentleman calls and says that the tires we picked were SNOW tires. Keep in mind we are in Texas and well he showed them to us. So we Just picked tires they had in stock. So I pick my car Saturday and drove it home. Then there's a clicking sound on one of the tires. Couple of months ago I purchased custom wheels for my truck from AWT. Johnny Phillips sold me the wheels. I cleverly missplaced the locks and needed to remove a wheel that had picked up a screw. Sent the wife to get replacement locks expecting to pay for them (after all it was my fault). Johnny told care of the replacement gratis and quickly sent my wife on her way.
