We arrived about 7:30pm on a Friday evening. Parking was easy in a nearby lot and we could hear what sounded like live music as we walked toward the building. Sure enough, lucky for us, a live duo was playing on a small stage in front of the outdoor seating. "Sweet Talkin' Johnny" began singing songs from Tom Petty and we knew we wanted to sit and listen for a while. The interior is decorated with fun pictures throughout, which we loved. The portrait of Kramer from Seinfeld was perfect. My wife also reported the women's room has the famous picture of a naked Burt Reynolds from the Cosmopolitan magazine circa 1972. The men's room has the vintage classic poster of Farrah Fawcett and artwork of a dude on a toilet. We did not ask much about their variety of beers after finding the "Big Ass Umbrella" IPA, but we believe they have 16 taps, which, we think include both a variety of their own beers as well as other hard beverages such as seltzers and ciders. They also have a cooler full of assorted 4/6 packs which can be purchased. Tonight we were fortunate enough they had a food truck/trailer serving Nashville Hot Chicken in addition to the live music. Seemed like they had a lineup of weekly events and discounts on a regular basis which is cool for those who live in the area. The beer was just so-so, I've definitely had better but it wasn't horribly undrinkable. My boyfriend and I like different types of beer... he is more of an IPA guy and I'm more of a lighter, fruity gal. Overall we felt like they were just very generic tasting. Nothing to write home about, but just fine for a Friday afternoon indulgence. They also have a coffee shop connected which makes sense as to why they have several coffee flavored beers, if that's your thing :) Overall the atmosphere, prices and friendliness of staff & customers were top notch! They had a food truck which was also delicious! It's a smaller brewery but has a larger outdoor area. The bartender was working solo. The wait wasn't very long and being colder outside I understood not having more working the bar. She was super kind and helpful. They do have some THC drinks at this location so be careful what you order.

Steve and I shared the Imposter which was a Golden Stout. This is a type of stout that we don't encounter often but whenever we do and have one it's usually quite good. There was no exception to that here as this was an enjoyable one. Flavor features with this beer are coffee, vanilla, creamy and sweet. This stout was fairly light bodied when compared to the typical beer style which is a nice change of pace. So if you want something like a stout but without the feeling you are "eating" your beer this is a good one to try out.

It's not in my usual neighborhood hangout but easy to get to and in a good area by the university. Plenty of parking in the lot and they had a tamale food truck on site when I arrived. I ordered a soft drink from the bar and sat at a high top. It's a large open space inside and they have a good amount of patio seating too. There was a chess club going on and then later in the evening they hosted music bingo, so they definitely have a good lineup of regular activities going on. The bee was fun, a little short, but it's always interesting to learn new words, meet new people etc. I ordered some birria tacos from the food truck and enjoyed those. Overall it was a pleasant time. Not sure if I would make my way out here regularly but could be nice to add to the mix every now and then. @azfitfoodfun
