There is a lack of customer service at this location. I didn't even get what I came for.

I was a bit skeptical about coming into this particular location because of the reviews. I had my initial appointment rescheduled and was going to cancel today's but something told me to go in and form my own opinion! I'm glad I followed my gut, we received nothing but superior customer service from the moment we stepped through the door. The young ladies at the front desk were friendly, the O.D. Kimberly Dreuitt was friendly and patient as well. The guy I checked out with David was helpful and informative when it came to deciding on whether or not to purchase the no line progressive lenses or the lines bifocals. I had purchased a pair of no line progressives from another Eyewear place 2 years ago and they didn't take the time to explain anything to me as a first time bifocal wearer. I informed David that I had a brand new pair that I wasn't happy with and he took the time to explain how to get used to them. He saved me time and money, I will try to get used to the previous pair for now and am sure I'll be happy with the reading glasses that I purchased today. America's Best will be my new home when it comes to eyewear from now on! read more

They messed up on my glasses and gave me the hardest time. One pair was supposed to have the FULL prescription and the other pair just solid reading since it was a sale going on. I was given one for vision and the other pair for reading!! That's NOT what I asked for. Optometrist said a lot of people do that. I'm NOT a lot of people. Wrong prescription and wrong charges and then had the nerve to be ignorant about it. I was quoted 2 completely different prices for the fix up, and of course, the optometrist didn't want to hear anything from me. He kept interrupting me anytime I spoke, and I was like, really???!!! I had to talk over him. And of course, the employee Julia that didn't know what the hell she was doing was off. He doesn't know when she'll be back. Never again!! read more

Honestly my experience with the eye doctor was great! The pre exam was great too! But after my exam, Roxanna was extremely rude to me because I had questions for her. She was so irritated to help me choose my glasses because I asked for a trial pair of contacts. Instead of explaining that my prescription wasn't in stock she just kept repeating "we don't do that, people just figure it out." She was extremely unhelpful and rude. read more

This was the BEST experience I have had with a glasses/contact provider in a very long time. The entire staff was pleasant and professional. They were up-front about all the additional costs, with no surprises. Their prices were very reasonable and I did not have to be on my P's & Q's with my insurance; they honored all my coverage and did not try to charge me for services that my insurance already covered. My husband & I had eye appointment today and we arrived one hour early. We were greeted promptly and filled out our paper work, to my surprise we were seen early by the doctor. Kim called my name and performed the pre visit part, she was very friendly and attentive, Kim was the best part of the visit, thanks to her great personality, my husband also agreed. After I was seen by Dr. (lady doctor), she was good and fast. I picked out my frames with the help of Dejuan, he was also helpful, he also helped me understand my insurance allowance so I can make the best decision. My only real complaint is they did not have my contacts on hand, this is the first eye place I've experienced that but the customer service made up for it . Both my husband and I visited this establishment on 2/5/2022 and ordered glasses. Both of our glasses had all of the bells and whistles. We were both told that it would be 7 to 10 business pays before our glasses arrived. Ok, no big deal, we get that it has to be made, but that seems awfully long. I called today, 2/23/2022, and was placed on hold several times before I was finally able to be helped by someone. My husband received the text that his glasses was ready for pickup, but I did not. It is going on 3 weeks. When I asked for an updated time, I was rudely told that there is nothing that they can do. The initial interaction was ok, but thank God my glasses wasn't broken, otherwise, I would be screwed. I should have visited the McDonough location. I guess I will be waiting another 3 weeks for my glasses that I already paid for...smh. Save your time, spare yourself the frustration, and visit another location. read more

I tried to get an appt at another location bc I did not want to go to morrows store. but due to the holidays they were booked, so I had no choice. I came in today to get my eyes checked bcmy glasses have been very blurry for the past year & a half. the so-called "optometrist " that I saw was Kimberly Thomas. she basically assumed I had diabetes. nothing she was saying was making any sense &I'm in the medical field .she basically was saying that my prescription changed drastically & thatshe can do an eye exam butcan't prescribe. so why the hell am I here if you can't prescribe anything. her whole demeanor was disgusting. as I was walking out of her Dusty office ,she slam the door behind her w/ an attitude. typical ghetto black woman. This location is the absolute worst. It took me nearly a month to get an appointment and I had scheduled it at 12:30 in the afternoon. Had written it down and had gotten a confirmation text of the time a day before the appointment. I had to have someone take me and with gas prices the way they are nowadays I don't want to waste anyone's time. Well, as we are pulling into the parking lot at 12:15 I notice I have a text that was sent at 12:11 that my appointment was canceled. Confused I called and asked what had happened and was told that I was a no show for my 12:10 appointment. Now I'm even more confused because I didn't schedule it then. I can understand if I did but I have several questions. I know for a fact that I scheduled my exam at 12:30, I didnt even have the choice to pick 12:10 at all. And if it was at 12:10 why was it canceled right at 12:11? There seemed to be no grace period for arriving. And I'm pulling in at 12:15. I can understand maybe being ten minutes late being awful but five? And why would someone change my appointment time without telling me? I asked why it was changed and the person I was talking to was beyond rude, told me that was how it was and that he couldn't do anything and I just better reschedule. Safe to say I was pissed. The fact that I had a text confirmation of the time I picked didn't seem to matter. My brother told me that they had been quite rude to him the last few times he has had to go in so safe to say they won't be having us go there anytime soon. read more

Absolutely terrible experience. My grandmother, who is disabled, was denied service by this facility. From the moment we entered, it was clear that this center was either unable or unwilling to accommodate persons with physical disabilities. The attitude of the staff was poor, and there seemed to be a general annoyance with having to accommodate a disabled patient. Before any diagnostics were run, the staff informed us that my grandmother's new glasses would be more than the $69 we were quoted. When my grandmother was finally called back to the examination room, the doctor spent no more than 3 minutes before before dismissing her and telling her she needs to go find a different facility. We informed this facility beforehand that she was in a wheelchair, so the refusal to accommodate us was both frustrating and baffling. If you or your loved one are disabled, or if you give half a damn about how businesses treat those with disabilities, do not patronize this business. Take your dollars somewhere that treats all people fairly. read more

Longtime Customer at this location since 1994. This was honestly the best experience I have ever had. From the exam to choosing the best frames to purchase, the staff did a truly wonderful job of taking care of me. I also would "Highly Recommend" to ask for Marquita in regards to choosing the right frames. She really educated me on the differences between "Name Brand" and "Non - Name Brand" frames which helped me save money in regards to choosing the best pairs of glasses. I will definitely come back again soon to purchase more frames in the near future! read more

I'll start with the good: getting an appointment is easy (there are many times available online and if you call in). Both the main receptionist and the doctor are professional, efficient. The behavior of everyone else is not (the people who take care of billing, the people who write your prescription out, the techs measuring your pupil distance from your glasses/making sure your new glasses fit, etc). These people always get their tasks for you done [seemingly done properly] .... when they *actually* get around to doing them. They'll see plenty of people sitting in the waiting area to be billed and just carry on with their (VERY LOUD) personal conversations for about 20 minutes before deciding to help you. I was certainly not the only person waiting (yet no customers were being helped, the workers were just gossiping). I paid my bill and asked for a written eyeglass prescription. The doctor was busy and had an eyeglass tech write up my prescription: I timed this technician. It took over 20 minutes from the time she first wrote my name on the prescription slip to the time she handed it to me. I was standing in front of her at the counter so I could see every single thing she did. While writing, she was talking to her co-worker about her weekend or something. She'd write one word/number, then talk for a bit, write one word, make some long statement, write, repeat. Unbelievable. I wouldn't mind the time it took if she were talking to me, but she blatantly ignored me the entire time. I'm not even sure if anything written on the script is accurate because of how it was written. She didn't even bother to write a date on the script. I've never seen anyone working in a so-called professional environment behave in such a manner. read more

I love that the location is close to home, but the workers seem to be frustrated. I walked in to pick up my daughter's eye glasses and stood by the counter, since I didn't know what to do. I noticed that there were people sitting down, but I didn't know if they'd already been helped. I noticed that they were being called next, so I went to sit down also. I overheard one of the associates telling another associate that she hates when people come and stand by the counter, staring in their faces. She said, "They need to come in and go sit down." I knew that she was talking about me, because I was recently standing up by the counter. I was upset because there was no sign in sheet and no way for me to know where to go. If she wanted me to sit down, she could've told me that I could have a seat and someone would be with me in a minute. Instead, they all ignored me and then got mad because I was there. I told her that if they would've had a sign in sheet, I would've signed in and sit down. However, since I don't read minds. I don't automatically know each businesses protocols and ways of doing things. I thought it was rude that she'd whisper about me, thinking that I couldn't hear her, rather than simply assuring me that I could sit comfortably and someone would be with me in a moment. Please learn how to talk to and re-assure your customers. I don't like the energy of frustration, when I walk into that place. read more

I made an appointments for Sat last week. Went and check in and exam was done. It was one of the best and more thorough exam that I have had in 6 years. The prescription is also the best in the last 6 yrs. I was told that it will take a week. I gave it 8 days and finally called for the status. I am told that the glasses just got in, coincidence? I went to the store and at the front desk, I am received by a female employee. I tell her that I come to pick up my glasses. While she is walking to get my glasses, I follow her and while following her, I tell her that I need a copy of the prescription of my glasses. She stops and turns around toward me and tells me that the Doctors are all at lunch and therefore she cannot get me a copy of the prescription because there is no Doctor to sign it (I know this was not true due to in GA, in the medical profession, offices that deal with the public cannot stay open if there is not a license professional working in it, this includes the lunch hour). I explained to her that all I need was the numbers and that those were in the computer to which I immediately asked her if those numbers were in the computer?, to which she instinctively said No, like if she is been program to say NO to that request. When I confront her about her answer (how can you say that the numbers for my prescription are not in their computer system?), after she realizes she screw up, she gets my glasses and starts walking again while at the same time pulls out the paper copy of my prescription that comes from the optician's lab, attached with a rubber band to the glasses, when they are sent to the store), and hides it on her desk and keeps walking toward the optical shop toward one of her male coworkers. She tells him. and in front of me, that I want my glasses to be fit and she keeps walking away, (O am his problem now) . The male employee tells me " so you want your glasses fit?" At this time I am infuriated for the lies I was told in less than 3 min. and the fact that she physically removed the copy of the prescription that came with my glasses. I explained to the male coworker that, what she said was not true, that I was asking her for a copy of the prescription since I got here to get the glasses and all what she is been doing is giving me the run around and lie to me. The employee tells me that he cannot give me the numbers alone that it has to have a Dr's signature, to which he quickly adds, "LET ME GO AND GET IT FOR YOU". 1 minute later I got the copy of my prescription. I am not mad because of the employee lying to me, her impediment attitude toward me getting the copy of my prescription. She is doing what she was told. I am mad because of how quick she says NO to my question about having the numbers in their computer. She said NO without even thinking twice the question, the respond was instantaneously. The speed to which she said "NO" denotes programming, she was programmed to say NO when people ask for copies of their prescriptions. Something like this only could come from the upper management. So I am not mad at the employee, I am mad to the apparent office policy of denying copies of prescriptions to the customers, EVEN IF THEY ALREADY PAID FOR IT. It is a shame that the best eye exam I have and prescription I have had in the last 6 years and I cannot go back to this office because of this incident, which shows somebodies greed, and this way of thinking: "you are not going to buy the glasses from me, I will not give you a copy of your prescription if I can." ceja1 read more

Horrible customer service at the Southlake location. Nobody knows anything except how to put you hold! I had a great experience at the Stonecrest location and I regret going to the Southlake location. Kim and Cynthia were clueless and couldn't make a move without the manager David. Sad part is David was just as clueless. You guys need to work on communicating with customers better! read more
