I noticed this place when I was picking up a doordash from the Chipotle next door. They offer glasses the same day as the exam so I figured I'll give them a try. Let me get straight to it. I chose this place because they were in-network with my insurance and they are in my neighborhood. I called the number and scheduled an eye exam. I walked in and began to look around while I waited to be greeted. By the time I was greeted I had eyeballed all the frames in the women's section and saw NOTHING that I liked. I was finally directed to have a seat in the back to wait for the eye exam technician. The technician that performed my eye exam was cool. I can't remember her name but she was professional, nice & talkative. After my eye test, the technician dropped me off in a room, adjusted the eye device ( I don't know the technical name for it) & told me she would be back. A doctor appeared on a screen in front of me and did a virtual eye test. I don't know. It felt weird and impersonal. As soon as it was finished the technician came back to get me. I honestly felt like I was at a used car dealership at this point. They baited me with the BOGO special. BOGO to me means BUY ONE GET ONE FREE. Their promo was BOGO 60% off. Bottom line is that I paid close to $400 for 2 frames and an eye exam. They weren't even designer frames or trendy. I have style and EyeLab did not fit my style. To top everything off, I ended up going to Walmart, which I should have done in the 1st place. I received much better service and had a larger, more my style selection of frames. Joesph (EyeLab Manager, I think) was pissed when I called to cancel my order. He told me I couldn't cancel my order because it was already in process. LOL!!!! He also tried to get me to keep at least one pair but I declined. He was not one bit concerned that my eye needs were met elsewhere but more concerned with the loss of money at his store. Lucretia was a HUGE help. She tried to work with me on a payment plan for the frames and even added input while I tried desperately to find frames. It's a no for me on EyeLab. I wish I had read the reviews before I came for an appointment, because if I had, I would not have come. Word of mouth is a great advertisement. I will be sure and tell my friends NOT come here. Highly disappointed with my experIence and will never return. The 2 for $79 promo is very misleading. I came in today which is the day before my daughter's prom because she broke her glasses and they promote "same day". I let them know up front my goal and that I wanted the 2 for 79. They were quick to do my daughter's exam which I now know was more than likely in efforts of forcing us to owe for an exam. My daughter was told the "blue" stickers were the 2 for $79 glasses. After her exam we were told due to her prescription she can't get same-day. They stated that somewhere in fine print (couldn't show me where) it states certain prescriptions. We then spend over an hour looking for glasses and finally found 2 pairs she liked that had a blue sticker. We go to get checked out and were told the glasses we picked had purple stickers ($199). I look at the Rep crazy because I'm not color blind and they are clearly blue. She then tells us that it only looks blue until we see the actual blue sticker. So she takes me to a section of about 7 pair of glasses that look like they were made for toddlers. I told them that the advertisement was very misleading and that it should've made clear when I told them what I came in for, which row of glasses were considered "blue" stickers. While we're now searching for glasses with green stickers since they are $119. I come across glasses with an ACTUAL purple sticker. I go to the rep and place the actual purple sticker glasses next to the blue sticker glasses that we originally picked and asked her how can she say these are purple when they are clearly two different colors. She then stated that those were the NEW purple stickers. Which means you all obviously knew that the other stickers were misleading and should've been transparent about it. My daughter spends another hour looking for glasses because their choices suck. We find two pairs that are $139.99 bogo. I sit down to check out and the Rep asks me " So how much were you expecting to spend today?" Clearly irritated with all the misleading and lack of transparency I tell her I was planning on spending $79 as advertised. She then goes on to say " I'm going to be honest with you...because of my daughters astigmatism she doesn't qualify for the bogo. And that it would be an additional $140 on top of the $139 for EACH pair of glasses" I ask her why she didn't tell me that even the bogo was based on certain prescriptions! All she could say is that the exam that she got would cost me $69 if I don't get glasses and that if I wanted to find some frames similar to what my daughter already had I could pay a discounted price for them and she would pop the same lenses in. I would much rather have dealt with a business that was upfront and honest from the start. Not misleading, not withholding information, and not wasting my time. 2 hours in the store only to leave with a prescription. I would like management to contact me about this matter. It was a very disappointing first time experience. Never again ! I recommend people pick out there glasses and ask the reps what color it's considered BEFORE getting the exam so that they don't get over on you like they did me by saying. " at least she has her prescription " on top of that it was a virtual exam which I wasn't made aware of until we got in the room. read more

NEVER AGAIN!!! How do u get an eye exam and NO ONE EXPLAINS what's covered at the store & what is not based on the insurance. Furthermore, I had to ASK what the results were of my minor child's eye exam. They were like, "Pick the glasses!" I'm like what is exactly wrong w/his eyes? And does he have to wear glasses all the time? Reading only? Yes, they told me after I Asked & it still wasn't explained in detail. I should have read the other reviews before. First, let me start off by saying I have had many eye exams and glasses. I went into Stanton optical, with an appointment that was supposed to be with an in person doctor. I was settled into this room with a doctor on the TV screen who gave me my eye exam. I didn't have to wait long, but still. I had told them when I went in that. I just wanted readers because I could see far away and everything and the lady recommended progressive lenses for me. Now granted, I am no doctor and I don't know what progressive lenses mean so they went ahead and made the glasses for me for $325. They get you in the door with the two for $79. But I was OK with that because I needed new glasses. The first time I went to pick them up I put them on and they were so blurry I couldn't even see, so the lady.Reyna, offered to remake them for me. Skip forward to the third time I picked them up every single time I went to pick them up I could not see out of them. I told them the prescription must be wrong, but they kept insisting. The last time I went to pick them up the lady said oh you just want readers for your computer. She even told me I should put my computer on a box so I could see it better. I picked up my glasses on the third or fourth time because I was not going to have them remake them another time. I had already paid quite a bit of money for them and I didn't even have them yet so I just took them, so now I have a pair of glasses that I cannot use that have cost me $325. Started out as a great experience. Not sure what is going on. This is about the fourth time that I am having some type of issue with my orders. I bought in 2 pairs of frames to get new lenses in them. Either the lenses are not well made to fit the frame of the glasses or the vision/rx is off. Not to mention they "Lost" my trial pair of contacts. Also, how is it that they send both pairs of glasses at the same time, but I get them back two different times? (Time frames are very long3-4 weeks at best) I am seeing better in my old prescription glasses. Now the latest, I was sent an e-mail to advise that one pair of my glasses were in, I get to the store (Fayetteville Location) to find out they were sent to another location(Griffin Location) that is far out of my way! There is always so type of issue! Once this is corrected, I will not do business with Eyelab again at this point. Gonna make sure all of the services were included on both pairs of glasses because at this point I don't trust that I am getting all of the services that I am paying for. Jenny is great at the Fayetteville location, the issues that I am having are the Lab and behind the scenes. So if this is not fixed/corrected I am requesting all of my money back! read more

Went in for exam and ordered contacts on July 25th, no problem with exam even though it is done by optometrist off-site and basically a zoom meeting. Anyway, contacts were ordered and I was told I'd probably get them by end of week. Checked status online on Friday and showed they would arrive on Monday. Well, no contacts on Monday and it shows it would be another week. Checked status again and it now shows that my order number is not correct and can't see status of order. So many options to place order online and have them in 2 or 3 days and they take 2 weeks ( and thats still a maybe ) is ridiculous. I should've checked reviews before going there. Soon many unhappy customers. Will not be using them in the future. Also, I have to drive back to store to pick up, why not just ship to customer? Just a hassle over all. read more

I am so sorry I ever came to this BOGUS eyeglass bodega they are the absolute worst first I call to make an appointment I asked if they took my insurance they assured me they did when I got there they examined my son"s and I when it was time to run the insurance they told me they did not take my insurance and as a courtesy they give discounts !!! Wait a minute I called and they assured me they they took my insurance They replayed that what we do because we give discounts so This company just thought it was okay to waste my time? I would not have came to this optical if they did not accept my insurance PERIOT!! That the whole pit of paying insurance so you will only come out of pocket with a minor charge after I paid the $89 for my exam and left I tried to go fill my prescription else where they wrote the script in a way that I have to order from them or get a new script Now I must say the only reason I'm going to 5 star this review is because of AMBER she was very concerned when she found out about my experience and wentt above and beyond to help sort out my problems she was fast and efficient now if this place had like 100 AMBER'S they would corner the market thank you so much AMBER this 5 STAR is for you ! read more
