Don't stay here! I was laying down and noticed a bug crawling next to me. Determined it was a bed bug. I then pulled the bed away from the wall and there was an entire colony of them. I was then moved to another room. I inspected it for bed bugs and it seemed ok. Ten minutes later a cock roach comes out from under the bed!

Closet door. What happened here and who was trying to escape?

This place is a hole. The rooms are bad. The service was horrible. The floors were filthy. The laundry machines were outside.

Ken at the front desk gave us excellent customer service. The rooms have been remodeled, and they have free breakfast and coffee in lobby.

The staff were welcoming, friendly, and always smiling. They also offered complimentary unlimited water, coffee, and tea, which was a nice touch. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and we were lucky to have a beautiful view of Mount Tam, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The complimentary breakfast was okay, but I wish there had been more variety and additional options to choose from. It was a nice perk, but expanding the selection would make it even better. The only downside is that the hotel itself feels a bit outdated. I think it has so much potential if the property were renovated, including the hallways, bathrooms, and guest rooms. With some updates, it could easily become an outstanding hotel. Overall, I had a pleasant stay. While I don't think the property itself is quite at a 4- or 5-star level yet, the exceptional customer service certainly deserves 5 stars. The staff truly made the experience memorable. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. The location and outstanding staff make it worth coming back. That said, I would love to see the hotel add a small lobby gift shop with snacks, drinks, and travel essentials to make the experience even more convenient for guests. The property has so much potential to truly stand out with some thoughtful updates and renovations. I would honestly love to renovate the entire place because I can see how beautiful it could become. The complimentary cheese and wine hour was a wonderful touch and something I really enjoyed and others as well. As for the cookies, they were good but cheap, but I think it would be even more memorable if the hotel partnered with a local Marin County bakery to offer fresh, locally made cookies or pastries. Supporting a local business would give guests a true taste of the area while creating a unique experience they'll remember. Those little details are what make a hotel stand out, and guests are more likely to remember both the delicious treats and the hotel that introduced them to them.

Pancake Breakfast Review: The food is just a nice way to say thank you for supporting the cause…read more And while the cause is a good reason, it's only part of the reason to make this journey. Here, it's all about the journey and not the destination. If making breakfast were the actual reason this place existed, it would have gone out of business long ago. They are dog-friendly, but no dogs (service dogs excluded) are allowed on the deck or inside the building. Speaking of the deck: a gentle reminder to those who have finished breakfast, have empty plates in front of them, and are still leisurely sipping their beverages while people stand around waiting for a table -- you are not renewing a lease! Please give others a chance to sit down and enjoy their breakfast. The deck is communal seating, not a waiting room. Once you've finished eating, consider letting someone else have a turn. Be kind. Be aware. And, most importantly, don't be those people.

They provide the absolute best service of any hotel I've ever been to. The staff seem genuinely happy to be there and to help out and the services they have are incredible (complimentary breakfast delivered to your room, wine hour(s), freshly baked cookies). We also forgot dog bowls and asked the front desk if they had anything we could use in the meantime. They ended up giving us dog bowls to use! Their crib was also available to use free of charge and the pet fee was super reasonable. The hotel itself isn't the most modern and chic, but it was clean, comfortable, and in a beautiful location. The only somewhat tricky part of staying here was the parking - it was about half a block or so away but the parking lot was often quite full and sometimes we had to park at the very far end of the lot which could be a little inconvenient but not the fault of the hotel by any means - just the nature of being smack dab in the middle of the main street of the city. We would 1000% stay here again and recommend it to everyone!

Beautiful views of San Francisco from the second floor outdoor seating area. Friendly staff. Located next to the ferry dock. I would like consistency in quality of the coffee. The first morning it was great, Second morning it was hot brown water. The carafes say it's Peets Major Dickenson Blend but that second day it was nothing like Peet's quality. I saw one of the staff people taking coffee from the brewing machine while it was actively making the coffee so they got the "good stuff". If this is a regular practice, no wonder the coffee was bad.

We come to Sausalito at least once a year and always stay at the Inn Above Tide. It's located on the waterfront and each room has the perfect view of the ocean, looking out towards the city of San Francisco and the San Francisco Bay Bridge. All the rooms have their own private deck where you can relax with a glass of wine or champagne and take in the beautiful views of the city of San Francisco. All the shops and restaurants on Bridgeway St. are within walking distance of the Inn. It is also right next to the Ferry where you can purchase tickets for a ride into San Francisco. When you arrive, you are greeted at the gate of their private parking lot, where your car is safely stored during your stay. Check-in is always easy and all the staff are extremely accommodating and friendly. They offer a Continental breakfast that is served buffet-style in their Drawing Room or you can have your breakfast delivered to your room for a $5 fee. Every evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. they have wine, cheeses, crackers, and fresh fruit for all guests in their Drawing Room. You can also arrange to have this delivered to your room as well. When we arrived to our suite, they had a lovely anniversary surprise waiting for us inside. They had a silver tray on our table, with a white rose, a bottle of champagne, a box of Napa Valley chocolates, and a lovely card to welcome us. When we booked our stay, for this trip, we chose the City Lights Suite. The inside of the suite is beautiful, luxurious, immaculate, and very spacious. The bed was very comfortable.
