Decided to take the 5 year old to Hershey Park last minute and during the Mother's Day weekend. Did NOT want to pay $250-300 for a hotel per night when we just needed a place to sleep. I like to cut corners where we can because I KNEW grandbaby would be asking Papa for all kinds of things at the store and park. Location was also nice as it's kind of away from the hustle and bustle of the park area. Stayed for two nights. Previous reviews are accurate. The decor is outdated, but clean...and sometimes it's all that matters. This quiet motel fit the criteria as far as price and basics. Office was welcoming upon check in. Check in starts at 2 pm which can be a plus for some. Hubster took advantage of the breakfast options. Of course the money I saved here got spent in the store! We stayed here for two nights. The rooms are small which wasn't the biggest issue, but with an infant and all the things we needed for him it wasn't ideal. We had issues with the fact that they had no extra towels. So if you wanted to swim they told you to use your bathing towel from your room and you cannot have another towel. The guy told me they only had what they need and no extra towels. Next there was no coffee in the morning and last no one was ever at the counter and there was no bell.. just things that were inconvenient... so we would not stay again. read more

Customer Service was so bad I literally thought I was on a prank tv show. Here's the story from start to finish - have fun! Walked into the lobby at 10:30pm to sign in and no one was there. Called the number to get the guy to come out front. He was miserable and verbally upset that we woke him up. He gave us the room key and we went to the room. Room was filled with 2 spiders 1 cricket and 3 flying bugs. Bed sheets were cream (meaning old and filthy) Room smelled like mildew Bedsheets had 2 long hairs on it. Was enough to leave. We go back to the lobby 10 minutes have passed. I called the number again and told him I was in the lobby. He said "what do you want." I said "I'm in the lobby, I have an issue with my room." He says "okay tell me over phone what do you want" (mind you the guy is laying down 1 room over). I asked for a refund. He said to just leave the key on the counter and call in the morning. So we leave. Turns out we forgot something. So we Came back 15 minutes later. Call him again (no one is ever in the lobby) He says "hello." I said "hey it's the guy who left, I forgot something in the room, I need to just grab it real quick. " He says "come back in the morning lobby is closed." The SOMETHING was my wallet. So I said "absolutely unacceptable it's my wallet and I'm not leaving here without it." He hangs up. And I wait in the lobby for 2-5min to which he finally walks back out, now visibly pissed off at me for waking him up again. Slaps the key on the counter and said "leave key in room, shut door." And walks back to his cave. Honestly it was unreal. The guy wasn't even kind from the get go. This type of rude customer service isn't acceptable. He's in the service business. We have yet to get a refund despite having a refundable policy. read more

Just spent a week here for work and could not recommend this hotel more! The gentleman in the office that checked me in was so nice, greeted me every morning when I went for my coffee. The room was huge and cleaned everyday, unheard of these days post Covid. If you are in Hershey, PA please check them out. Less than 5 miles to Chocolate World and the Giant Center. I will be staying here again next year. read more

I have now stayed here 4 times (regretting each of them...it's my own fault for doing the 3rd party surprise deal and not just paying more for something not here). To keep it simple, pros and cons. PROS: the bed is VERY large and comfortable, the rooms are very clean, pretty convenient location to most things, there are plenty of towels, the heater warms the room up in like 2 mins! (To the point you're sweating and have to turn it off), and the wifi is pretty good. CONS: the fridges in the rooms are not the same, so some have space on the door only for cans, some have freezers and others don't. There was one room where the microwave didn't work. Only 1 room out of the 4 I've been in did the door shut and lock appropriately...all of the others I've had to slam multiple times and hope the lock would catch. This time the ice machine was broken (no sign). The shower pressure and heat varies from room to room. The "breakfast" is concentrated coffee and orange juice (don't be deceived). And worst of all, the tissue paper thin walls! Not once have I not been able to hear ever car that drives by (and it's probably about 100 ft from the road), and heard ever conversation and noise from the people in the next rooms. So when people are there partying late, people bringing back escorts, or people fighting....you will hear every word, every toilet flush, every door shut....EVERYTHING! Just pay the extra $20/night and stay somewhere else. read more

No counter space in the small bathroom- a pedestal sink. Stingy supplies: a round bit of soap that isn't enough for two showers, no tissues provided. We arrived at 11 pm. There was no one at front desk. When the front desk guy finally showed up, he gave us room keys that did not work. Twice. Finally, I ran over screaming and he came out and opened the door. He and his wife were rude. Rooms are 1970s style decor. A motel is what this is and it's advertised online as an "inn." This place is run by terrible people. Blankets were dirty, they would not five us a new room. Incredibly rude, would not even cancel the reservation, after we stayed in the room for a few hours and started to cough and get a rash from the dirty beds. Don't stay here!!!! read more

Great hotel to stay..... it's approximately 15 minutes to Hershey Park. It's a lot cheaper than staying at the Hershey Lodge probably about $200 cheaper. And at the America's Best Inn you get free breakfast included. And the breakfast is actually really good. I had a waffle, that you make yourself. Had a banana, and a Danish, a cup of coffee, and an orange juice.. Saved me from paying for food eslewhere. The price of the room was cheap. Rooms are big, with comfortable beds, the rooms are big and the bathrooms are nice. The rooms also come with a microwave. A refrigerator. With a TV with cable two chairs and a table.. Also there is a ice machine on site... And ice is free when staying there. They did have a swimming pool.. But never had a chance to go in it. If i ever deside to go back to hershey park. Choose to stay at this place through hotels.com. Our son had a baseball tournament in the area so we wanted to spend little money. This hotel has met all of our expectations. If I had to find something wrong, I can only say they would not grant me a late check out on our last day, even though we stay there for four, because they said they had to get the room Ready for the next guests. Too bad there were no guests when we got there. They must be slow during the week and pick up on the weekends. Which makes sense. But I wish they could just have honored us a later check out since we do not know when our son's playoff game will be on Sunday. Otherwise, no problems. read more

Just as I put on Google. Let the truth be know. Drove from Columbus Ohio and checked in this past Thursday night. Left Sunday morning. Area is quiet and not much around. But Hershey and food is all around just drive or map it. Definitely the best bet for visiting the Hershey parks. Why pay more for the same thing. All competitors in price range are same or worse looking. Check in was easy, staff is friendly and mostly family that works it I suppose. Rooms smelled clean upon entry. Clean towels, shower and hardware. Bathrooms setup is not ideal for bigger persons but would still work. AC, fridge and microwave all worked. TV has lots of channels including Disney and Sprout-128. Not much traffic noise and neighbors in next room were blaring hip hop in middle of day and could barely hear through the walls. Breakfast is very limited but typical waffle, fruits and juice. The pool was good and warm with a new liner. The only drawback is small shallow end and owners had friends/family over the one night so it was sorta crowded. Other than that no qualms about anything. For the price I wouldn't expect anything more. It felt safe, clean and house keeping cleaned up and stocked the towels. The stuff wasn't messed with and they printed my park tickets off for me at the office. I would definitely recommend and stay here again and again when I am in the area. read more

We decided to go to Hershey park for the Christmas event and decided to stay here based on reviews and the location. The owner was very friendly, everything in the room was clean, and breakfast was simple but pretty good! We could hear snoring from another room at one point but it was still pretty quiet for the most part. For just one night it's perfect and pretty reasonably priced. Booked a room here through expedia for 4 people. When we arrived at the hotel, was told by the very rude clerk that there would be an upcharge of $50 for a second bed. The clerk was not willing to help in any way. She hung up on expedia several times and refused to help us at all. We were eventually told the manager would be in the next day to handle the refund. (we went to a different hotel). We called every day for a week straight and was told the same thing. ( manager would be in tomorrow). Manager never came in, we were never issued a refund. We were charged for two nights that we never used. Do yourself a favor, and dont bother with the lies that this hotel spreads.. read more

I know it's a budget motel--but there are far better places nearby for comparable prices. My more minor complaints include the light in our room, which took forever to light up all the way and cast a creepy glow in the meantime, or the "wake-up call" from the management, consisting of an employee banging loudly on the door at 7:30 in the morning and yelling at us to check out at 11. But the crowning moment was when my fiancée turned on the shower and was attacked by a large, mysterious blob of orange-ish goop. This place is a dump. The rooms smell like urine and the owners (Mr. & Mrs. Patel) are not very honest. We checked in and once we went into the room we asked for a refund because of the smell, they would not refund our first night, we had to call AMEX to get a refund. They should not be allowed to run a hotel. Any post that says this is a great plce has been written by them. Trust me on this one. read more

Price was right, rooms and sheets were clean, quiet, no bugs (we checked) & front desk service was friendly. Only a few issues; the cleaning people knocked each morning around 9:30am, and once unlocked the bottom lock trying to gain access with our party still sleeping. Way to early and the unlocking was a little creepy... 3rd day, they did not return to clean, we had to go to the front desk for the sheets. lastly, even though we had full control of the rooms A/C unit and set on coldest, each evening around 3:am the room got hot. We booked this hotel because it was CHEAP and close to Hershey Park. Because of the price we didn't have really high expectations for the room and it pretty much met expectations. We had a decent sized room with a tv, fridge, and microwave. It was a bit dingy and we had to dodge a couple bugs but the room served it's purpose for a reasonably comfortable, cheap night's sleep. I'd recommend calling in your reservation because the front desk didn't have ours on file, which we had done online. They said they had been having some problems with their online reservation system. read more

Room was cleaner than expected. However... I was very disappointed that I paid $78 night on Priceline, I only saved $15 a night. Typically I save much more on Priceline and get VERY nice hotels. Most disappointing Priceline purchase yet, and I book at least four times a year. This was the first time I was charged additionally for double bed rooms upon my arrival. I was told that "on Priceline you only get a king room, one bed. ". That if I wanted two beds I had to pay extra. I had to pay the $15 additional for a room with two beds. Never has this happened, I always have had to pay extra for King rooms. I honestly feel like this is a gimmick and was taken advantage of. I booked three rooms and needed at least one to have two beds in it. They knew upon my arrival this was their plan as the first question was how many people did I need to sleep. Literally... The first question as soon as they saw my reservation. I would imagine most people needing three rooms do need double beds. As for the room, Bed was VERY hard! Pillows were almost nonexistent. Water was barely warm in the shower. And the toilet barely flushed leftover cereal, as we dumped it out as we had to eat breakfast in our rooms with no place to sit for continental breakfast. What an awesome price for this hotel room. 44$ a night for a king bed with fridge, microwave, and a flatscreen? Awesome! Room is a little small but that really means nothing. I'm really impressed with this hotel/motel. I've never stayed at a hotel in Hershey before and this was the perfect stay for one night. Affordable, clean, comfortable and close to nearby attractions. The receptionist are really nice and friendly and make sure you're enjoying your stay. The rooms are a great size (I had a king size bedroom), bathroom was clean. The heat worked great and the tv had good reception. The complimentary breakfast was just right. The Belgian waffle maker was a nice touch. No eggs or any breakfast meats... but that's alright. There was also fruit and coffee that was pretty good. I felt safe staying here by myself and I would come back again if I had to. read more

That was important to me and played into my decision to book a stay. My only complaint was that the walls are thin and the kids in the next room were very loud at 6:00 AM. This place is an absolute disgrace. If it wasn't after midnight, after a long day at Hershey Park, I would have left immediately. I should have left anyway...house keeping unlocked and opened the door 3 times between the hours of 6-7am, walking me up. Also, the place is not well kept...it's pretty nasty. My husband and I brought our 2 girls to Hershey Park this past week 7/14-7/18/15. We booked this hotel using Expedia. It was very clean and a great price!! Also the pool was absolutely immaculate! We had a mess up with our Hershey tix so we had to spend a full day at the pool here at this hotel, but it was SO clean and clear and the people working at this hotel gave us a short cut tip to get to Hershey quicker. We will definitely stay here again! We just needed a clean place to sleep and this did the trick!! read more

We went here last week. I have to admit it's a pretty nice place. When I got there to check in at around 10-11 the lady up front told us that the rooms would be ready by 1. She was quite friendly. We returned at around 10 at night. The beds were so bouncy . The bathroom was a tad bit small but it didn't matter. The pool there was so nice I didn't even wanna get out. Me and my family were the only ones who were in the pool so it wasn't crowded at all. I do recommend this inn read more
