Salsa a bit watery Weird that burrito comes with steak fries Papusas were pretty good the chicken was good but the pork didn't seem like it had much in it other than cheese Chicken Tamales were good and moist if eaten right away otherwise it starts to get dry but still flavorful The empanadas were interesting, more cooked than pic so charred a little which is fine, mainly tastes of plantains. All in all I would go back again.

Pupusa Combo (two pupusas, one cheese and one pork; one tamal de pollo and one empanada).

WHY WE WENT HERE: - coworker lunch with pupusas in mind THE LOOK (FROM THE OUTSIDE): - across the street from Chavez Supermarket THE LOOK (FROM THE INSIDE): - a bit open but condensed seating - hostess station at the back of the establishment on the left WHAT WE ORDERED (we focused only on the SALVADORIAN SPECIALTIES menu: - two pupusas - pupusa plate - pupusa combo THE TASTE: - AMAZING; portions so big two out of the three of us had leftovers that made another meal in itself) CUSTOMER SERVICE: - a bit slow, but nice

Came back to the original Pupusas location and had 4 pupusas de arroz con frijol con queso (4 rice pupusas with beans and cheese). It was smooth like butter but tasted super rich. Also had the breakfast plate and that was good.

I love America's House. It's a funky restaurant known for the homemade pupusas, but the rest of the food is just as good. They have food from all over the world on their menu and everything is huge! We have never left here disappointed. The only reason this yummy restaurant gets one less star is because it's always a little too warm inside the restaurant. But never fear! They have a few tables outside where you can sit and watch the drunks stumble out of the bar across the street. TIP: Try the Molcajete, but be prepared - it's so large you'll have to split it with a friend.

5 stars The food the service the ambiance everything here is a definite hit, they got italian, american, mexican, and el salvadorian food, we tried 3 things the crab and shrimp salad, wife had the pupusas combo, I had the moteljeta combo just yelping for a place to eat we found this place that had several choices american breakfast food, italian, mexican and el salvadorian, so many choices we tried a lil from each nationality except american breakfast food. We tried the shrimp and crab salad excellent I must say excess with the meat of shrimp and crab literally more meat then salad... "excellent" in a demeanor like mr burns would say from the simpsons. The wife had the pupusa combo which included 2 chicken pupusas, a tamale, and a plantain with sweet cream with an almost hard covered outside, wife stated pupusas were excellent close to my wifes grandma's cooking which is a big statement cuz from what she tells me everything her grandma use to make was hand made from scratch so that was big statement in the background when we got in you can hear the sound of pupusas being made I guess if you had it made from scratch you know the sound my wife stated haha I had the motejca which included sauteed chicken, juicy and tender, carne asada steak was super chewy with perfect amount of fat on every piece of meat, some people don't like the fat on steak they cut it out and throw it out, I dont haha, thats the best part. also there was shrimp grilled I think about 7 or 8 pieces amazing taste. my plate also came with red rice, fresh avacados, sour cream, and refried beans oh also orchata was on point we ordered 2 more to go when we left definitely will visit this spot again this is my new favorite multiflavored restaurant. on the last note the garlic bread is excellent it tasted like garlic bread offered at sizzlers when sizzlers was good, they kind where when you bit in there was a crunch and the inside was super soft and the taste filled every part of your mouth havent had a garlic bread like this in a long time. sizzler still offers there garlic bread but it no longer taste like this, at this place their garlic bread brought me back the first time i had garlic bread when I was a lil kid having it at sizzler with my parents after church meal = ) food ***** everything we had was excellent, meats excellent, drinks excellent, they even got beers from italy, mexico and el salvadorian service ***** ambiance ***** large restaurant meant for groups if not couples or even family they are playing mariachi all day haha which is fun when the tvs are also playing mariachi haha price $$ inexpensive if you like food that has taste

Place keeps getting worse and worse by the year to the crappy service to the tasteless food Cleaning the place should also be a priority or else you get roaches crawling on the walks

America's House makes amazing pupusas! I got 3 and they were all delicious. Definitely the biggest pupusas I've ever had which is a plus! Don't sleep on them - try them out for your pupusa cravings. :)

It's a food truck parked on the street near the corner of the shopping center nearby. Parking was pretty easy on the street or in the nearby shopping center. Don't expect an area to eat or tables unless you're gonna walk down to the shopping center or take it to go as most people do. The staff was very friendly and full of smiles, and I was able to order with my broken Spanish. Food: I wanted to try a variety of pupusas so got the Revueltas, spinach with cheese, and lorocco with cheese. All were very tasty and I would love to try the rest of the menu as well. My favorite by far is the pupusa Revueltas. This is as close to authentic Salvadoran you can get until you try the local cheeses in El Salvador.

I ordered 4, all different, plus 3 pastor tacos. After I placed the order, he told me it would be about 15 minutes, great sign since it meant they would be freshly made. The pupusas were all $4 each and simply delicious. Loved the flavor of them and the curtido. I sent out a whatsapp to the family to have them all drop by to try these. Far better than most places around here that I've tried.

I usually order Pozole, but that dish is only during the winter time. So I ordered a cup of tortilla soup! The chicken was fresh and delicious, and the broth was so good I drank it all. The salsa trio is always my favorite appetizer because of the spicy mango salsa! I finish it every time. I also got the Plátanos cubanos, but I got the toppings on the side so I could enjoy their plantains by themselves. As an appetizer, snack, meal, or dessert, plantains are the best. I ordered a side of rice with my steak tacos too, and I have to say this rice is the most similar to the type my mom makes at home. Not too tomatoey, but perfectly moist and tasty. I opted out of getting a cocktail today, so I got a mocktail. I was craving agua de jamaica, which they didn't directly have, but this "zero proof" cocktail hit the spot ;) As for the steak tacos, the steak was a little too chewy for my liking, but that's because I usually get my steak well done (I know, don't judge). Thank you Milagros for always being the best spot for a comforting meal!

Must-try birria spot - I keep coming back for a reason…read more This place is on my list of must-tries for Mexican food, and I've been here countless times at this point. The beef birria tacos are SO good like the flavor, the birria consomme, the sauce, the meat. Everything just hits right. This is a legit hole-in-the-wall kitchen, and that's exactly what makes it special. No frills, just really good food that keeps you coming back. Every time I'm craving birria (which is often), this is where I go. The quality stays consistent every single visit, which is huge. You know exactly what you're getting and it never disappoints. For the price and taste, the value is excellent. You're getting authentic, flavorful birria without paying sit-down restaurant prices. If you're in the area and craving some birria tacos, do yourself a favor and try this place. It's the kind of spot that turns into a regular rotation real quick. Trust me, I'm proof of that.

Summary: Flavorful, but HEAVY…read more Details: They just opened up a new branch in SF, but we wanted an excuse to hit up San Mateo, and Latin American is always a good enough excuse. While photos of their SF location suggest some seeing, this OG location is pretty much pickup/delivery only: a fairly literal hole in the wall, located along a random quiet street. Most folks would probably opt to take home or eat at one of the "nearby" parks, but we've gotten in the habit of just eating in the car, which... not so great for something as messy as birria lol. I'll say that for most folks, this would probably easily be more a 4 star spot, while for us, it's more a 2 star since we're unlikely to come back. That's not to say the food was bad: on the contrary, the flavors were quite good, and the consomme was less salty than some of the others we've tried. But their food is HEAVY. Not just the birria itself, but also the burrito we got, and heavier than other places we've been for some reason, with the birria sitting in a pool of oil soon after we picked it up. This probably isn't a deterrent for most people though, so take this as you will. Accessibility: Not too relevant since this is really just a pickup spot, with the pickup window being at the usual height you'd find elsewhere.
