Great taste of Mexican cuisine, where they offer a large menu to select from. No reservation is required, but nearby parking is plenty. The service was excellent, and the indoor/ outdoor dining experience was fantastic.

I've been here so many times and I'm actually shocked I never left a review before lol. Everything I've tried has been so good. I still haven't tried the pork tacos, but other than that I've had a bunch of different things and never had a bad meal or drink here. The guacamole is sooo good and the yuca fries are seriously addictive. My favorite tacos are the fish ones, especially the Baja fish taco. Also the vibe of this place is just happy It's colorful, fun, loud in a good way, and makes you want to dance when you walk in. I literally took photos of the tablecloths because they were so cute lol. Staff is always friendly and service is fast too. Easy 10/10 for me.

Very nicely decorated restaurant on the corner with indoor and outdoor seating. Easy neighborhood parking a few blocks away or a paid parking lot across the street. Was there for lunch on a Monday and was quickly seated around 2pm. I got the mahi mahi tostada, a very generous portion of nicely prepared fish over back beans, cabbage and guacamole. It was a lot of food for lunch. I brought home half of the fish. My friend had the chicken fajitas and also took home half of it. I wouldn't drive out of my way to eat there, but if you're in the area, it's a nice little place if you're craving Mexican.

Quick take: good place for after work I would say the food is good. We always have a good time here because of the company. Service here is friendly and attentive.

We had a large group and we were well taken care of. The happy hour menu was great. The food was delicious. With such a large group, I was impressed with how well everyone was taken care of. We only had one issue when a plate was taken away before the leftovers were boxed up. The issue was resolved quickly, though.

Came for a work lunch on a Tuesday afternoon and we were sat outside. It was nice because they have heaters. The only downside is if you sit at a high top, it's quite difficult to get in and out of your chair, and you can't fully scoot in. Ordering was very easy. The staff was very kind and accommodating. As for the food itself, it was delicious! Everything was flavorful and fresh.

You will always leave this place very satisfied. From the cocktails, especially the margaritas, to the delicious Mexican dishes and desserts, this place has it all. Fun atmosphere for any type of celebration or just to go out for a fun lunch or dinner with friends. Indoor and outdoor seating perfect to go in any weather. Festive and fun for the entire family .

I've been coming to Milagros for years, and it never disappoints! If you're looking for a fun, lively environment with fast, friendly service and tasty Mexican food, Milagros has you covered. Every time I've come here, I start with the chips and salsa trio - the serving size is always generous (as evidenced by the bucket it comes in), and the salsas are all very good. Milagros also has a solid array of drinks, and I'll usually end up getting one of the several different margaritas or cocktails on menu (I'm partial to the El Jefe margarita and Smokey the Bandit). All the food options I've tried here have been very tasty as well! In particular, I have a fondness for their tacos (especially the quesabirria trio), enchiladas suizas, skillet fajitas, and carnitas nortenas. And the service has never been anything less than fast and friendly here, even when it's crowded. All in all, Milagros has remained a staple for me over the years. It's great for dining with a group of friends, catching a game, or just for anyone looking to dine on some tasty Mexican food in a casual restaurant with a fun, lively energy.

Great service. I came in around 2:30 for department holiday party. The food was good. I ordered the jalapeño poppers. I will say they were delicious but I would have loved a bit more of a kick. They weren't spicy at all. Which I guess works for my non spicy lovers! The taquitos were good. Again personally I would love a spicier salsa, the salsa was too sweet for my liking. Overall great experience and I just loved the festive decor! It was so cute.

Taquitos del pollo and mini gorditas

Starting with very nice and polite hostesses and Mirian our amazing server, prompt greeting and knowlage of the drinks and menu. As always quality Mojito and Pomegranate mule drinks and delicious appetizers, crispy Yucca, mini gordotas and taquitos del pollo and a chicken burrito. Overall again, this place never disappoint you. Thanks

    Celina S.

Vibe and service were quite nice, I can see how people would come here for happy hour. I also thought the Baja fish taco was pretty good but everything else ranged from mid (steak taco, enchiladas) to surprisingly bad. For example the quesadilla barely had any cheese?? And the bbq sauce they add ruined it for me.

Visited again with coworker's for lunch and this place does not disappoint. Food was deliciously perfect. This time, I just had coconut shrimp taco and mini gorditos. I was stuffed. Service was fast from start to finish. The lady was super nice. It was packed for a Friday afternoon but it wasn't overly chaotic. Plenty of seating and it wasn't overly loud that you couldn't hear each other talk.

Great food and atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. I recommend you give them a try. I want to post current pics of the menu, but I need to write 85 characters, so I'll just ramble on, and on, and on.

    Ask the Community - Milagros

    Is Milagros cash-only?

No, they also accept credit card and Apple pay.

Does Milagros have happy hour specials and what are they- drinks, food, times?

They now have happy hour Monday-Friday 3-6PM as of 6/7/24

    Is the patio dog friendly?

Yes, it is. I always see dogs in the patio area. I also bring mine.

    Do they take reservations?

At the moment no. I'd keep checking back. They start again soon

What sorts or vegetarian/vegan options are there?

    They have a artichoke enchidas!

Any comments on Milagros or Donoteca Enoteca restaurants in Redwood City?

Milagros is pretty mediocre Tex Mex but it has a nice location and is good for groups. I haven't been to Donato Enoteca yet, but I'd definitely choose it over Milagros from what I've heard.

Though I'm sure if you showed the server that you want one of these they'll probably know what it is. As for the experience, it was pretty straightforward (a good thing, the same way a 5* Uber ride is your driver not saying anything but taking you comfortably from point A to B). We ordered several dishes to share, and I did have an idea of what to expect from what I already saw online. The ambience was quite comfortable, and the food arrived quickly and without issues. We had no real complaints about the dishes. They all tasted excellent, and plated well. The meat was tender, and my favorite was probably what looked to me like a seafood paella. Portions were of reasonable size, and everything tasted great. Honestly there isn't too much to say, other than the food tastes like what you'd expect from these photos: delicious. Definitely a restaurant to revisit.

Our table was fully decorated with birthday confetti and a surprised birthday card placed on the table, very festive and fun vibes. We started with some yummy HH cocktails from 3pm to 6pm. There are good choices for HH food too. But we decided to order off the main menu instead to share with our group. Can't go wrong with ordering any dishes. It is one of the better Latin food I've had. Very fun place to celebrate birthdays or just come for HH too.

It's been a minute since I've been to LV Mar but the food is still tasty, albeit a bit pricey. They are kind of the upscale sister to La Viga afterall. We started the meal with the birria fries which were pretty good. I liked the huge chunks of beef which were really nice and tender but I would have liked to see more inclusion of birria into the dish instead of just the meat, like maybe some of the consommé on the side to dip or maybe tossing some cilantro, onions with the cheese or giving it that fresh squeeze of lime. As is, it's fries with some melted cheese and the chunks of birria. Good, but not a standout to me. My personal favorite came with my tacos. I really liked the scallop taco which came on a jicama "tortilla". It was sweet but crisp and worked well with the fried scallop which was also done well and not over fried. I also really liked the huitlacoche which is a bit of a rare find. It's like corn and mushrooms had a baby. It was really tasty. Both of these completely outdid the pork belly taco which was honestly very good in its own right too. The only downside is that the price is about $8 PER TACO which is a lot so while I applaude the creativity for some, that's tough to choose regularly. Overall, food was good and the vibe was fun. It's a good option on Broadway in Redwood City (but yes, I also think you should choose La Viga first).

We wanted papusas and Comalito came up with spectacular reviews and was open (at time of writing,…read morethey open Fri-Sun)! Food and service were great. Food ordered: Yucca fries on the house! 1. Plantano Fritas (4/5) I love a plantains and these were delicious and less oily than other which I appreciate! Personal preference is a I prefer a little more sweetly caramelized plantains, but I did really enjoy this. The dish comes with a white creamy sauce and a refried bean dip - both yummy and not overpowering in flavor. Papusas: Lots of flavors to choose from! And in general, for all the papusas, the papusa batter is wonderful and the porportion of filling to papusa is perfect. 2a. Calabaza Papusa - mixed cheese + zuchinni (4/5) This was the most cheesey papusa, where the cheese was the heavy lifter. I enjoyed it and every bite had a nice cheese pull too it. I would have liked to see a little more zucchini green, and for it to add to the textures. 2b. Frijol y Queso Papusa - mixed cheese + refried beans (5/5) My favorite! Can't go wrong with a bean and cheese papusa and this was so so good. I recommend this classic pairing of flavors anywhere. I was thinking about this papusa for days. 2c. Chicken Papusa - mixed cheese + chicken (5/5) This was also really good. the chicken is mixed in with the cheese, so every bite has both, which was nice. There was also a lovely seasoning which balanced all the flavors beautifully. 3. Churros: This usually comes with vanilla ice cream, and the server warned us they didn't have any in stock. We were fine with that because we love churros. When we were complete with our papusas, they served us our churros and surprised with apple slices instead of ice cream which was a lovely touch. Parking: There is no designated parking lot that we have found, but the public 2 hour parking lot 2 blocks over on Second Ave! Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at Comalito. The hardest hurdle is parking, but once you find the public parking lot a couple of blocks over, it was easy to find and gives you a little exercise before you eat! Papusas were all delicious and there is a plenty of seating room. Keep in mind they are open Friday-Sunday only at time of writing.
