Service is excellent based on my experience from tire Rotation rebalancing. Customer service is excellent they inform you if they are running behind and friendly too. Hi everyone. I know this is a long review but please read this before going here. It'll save you money, time, and the future headache. Okay, let me start this review with the fact that my whole family and I have been purchasing tires from here for many years. I can over look the rising prices and the extra charges... but damaging my car and the way it was handled is just wrong and none of my family members or I will be coming back. (We've bought over 10 full sets of tires plus multiple spares and extras). I brought my car in to get 2 new tires and a rotation last Thursday. I called and made an appointment the day before. The man on the phone told me a completely different price quote than when I showed up to my appointment the following day. It was well over $100 more than the previous quote I was given for the same exact tires.. I made no changes.. okay thats annoying but let's continue. I would never have known that they completely stripped my lug nut and post if I didn't plan on changing my break fluid when I brought it home... So off go my wheels to drain the fluid and my rear driver wheel wont come off due to the lug nut and post being completely stripped. Not to mention the wheel cover was placed AFTER the lugs were put on... luckily it didn't crack or fall off on the drive home. (The wheel cover goes on first so the lugs keep it in place) So after finishing up with the break fluid my dad and I take the car back and complain. The worker that ringed me up earlier in the day was rolling his eyes at us. But I ignore him and talk to someone else. I receive a voucher to take my car to a different shop 20 minutes away (Break Masters in Pomona) and they'll fix it for free. Okay so what I heard there was "waste a day of your life getting a repair done on something we know we broke on your car and DIDN'T TELL YOU, because we thought you weren't going to check." Keep in mind this is the 3rd car they have done this to in my family... I should have gotten that tire for free seeing how much time this is taking. I'm a very busy person that barely had time to take my car in to get the tires in the first place. The amount of time/gas/money it is taking me to get this repaired is beyond messed up. So here we go, I had to drop my car off at this shop that doesn't take appointments and of course it's going to be "at least 2 hours." So here I am having to PAY for an uber home and back there again. More time and money wasted yet again. I never received a sorry or an offer for a refund or discount or anything for my troubles. Bonus Story: I'd like to add that years ago I went to the North Hollywood location once when I had a rim leak due to shotty installation from this Glendora location. The man working the desk refused to check for a rim leak and insisted it wasn't possible by just looking at the tire.. Curious if it was because I'm a woman, I then had my father bring it in and ask them to check, just like I did. Of course they didn't argue with a man and checked. No surprise to anyone there was a rim leak. Needless to say DO NOT COME HERE if you care about your car and your time. read more

I recently purchased my second set of tires through the Glendora store of Americas Tire. Both times, I had an appointment and was in and out within the time promised. My second set was purchased about ten days ago and because I had another appointment, I didn't have time to have them do an alignment check. (I've owned this vehicle since new for 3 years and haven't had the alignment checked in that time). I went in early this morning and was the first in line for the alignment rack. After a short while, I told by the tech. that the readings showed I didn't need an alignment and that they would refund my card in full. (you pay at time of write up) . He went over the reading printout and I saw that all wheels were "in the green". I did notice that although the front tires were in the green on the "toe", one tire was within specs, but the other was about .01degree of being out of spec in the opposite direction (the next pothole would have knocked it out). I then asked the tech. to perform the alignment in order to bring the front toe readings closer together since I had just come off a road trip to the central coast and I could feel the difference at higher speeds on the 101 fwy. The tech. did a great job in doing this and I was able to feel the difference on the way home. I don't write many yelp reviews, but I felt that this one was in order based on previous prompt service as well as the tech. and service writer being honest and telling me that based on the readings I didn't need an alignment and willingness to refund my money. read more

I came here to try to get my tire patched. I heard they do it free so I figured why not. Came in and told me they wouldn't be able to do it for another 4 hours because I didn't have an appointment, which was fine. I left and came back. Then when I came back and they looked at my tire they told me the tire could not be patched and I would have to buy a new one. I chose not to, but they took my spare off and put the same tire that needed a patch back on? The tire that was leaking air, made no sense at all. Not only did they do that but they also scratched the entirety of the lip of my wheel. I went somewhere else and paid to have my wheel patched. Stopped by to check availability on new tires, this will be my 2nd set of tires purchased here. Josh was very helpful, looking up my previous purchase, providing a quote and offering to install 4 new tires that day. My time was limited that day but he made an appointment at my convenience. I returned on my appointment day, a few minutes early to check in, they were quite busy already but Aaron introduced himself and offered to help me. I checked in, he did an inspection of my current tires, asked about new wiper blades, gave me an estimated time of completion.... 1 hour. I was expecting longer. As I sat waiting for my car I hear customer interaction with Aaron & Josh! They both were very professional, knowledgeable m, friendly and patient. A while later my name was called, my car was ready, I didn't catch the technicians name but asked that he check the air pressure in my spare tire, he said of course. I waited in the area he asked me to. He drove my car to that area, he was very professional, explained the spare tire was a bit low, he added air and it's all good now! Handed me my keys and that's when I realized the time!!!! It had only been 30 minutes!!! I was very surprised!!! My first visit here was very good as well but I didn't take the time for a review. I got my tires replaced here for a reasonable price under $1,000. Customer service was very good and the work was done quickly. I liked how they send a text notification to your phone to track the progress of your car tires being added. However, I did not like that I had to go back in less than a week because one of the metal cap or hinge loosened off one of my car's tires. Outside of providing a veteran discount, the other reason I come here is because they give free flat repairs (if it's within the parameters), which of course may lead to tire sales. The wait is about a half an hour longer than quoted, even with an appointment. They do high volume and are in such a rush that care given to your vehicle with nice rims may take a hit. Brought 3 vehicles (all new tires, 14 total as 1 was a dually) this year to the shop. I would watch them like a hawk if you value nice things. Staff seems friendly enough however there's so much volume that personalized service really doesn't happen. Wow! I am truly amazed by this place. I realized I had a nail on my tire so the first store I stopped at was Tire Depot. However, the place didn't have the tools to fix a 20 inch rim and recommended to try America's Tire. As I drove in there were already tons of cars being worked on at 8am and already a like by the cashier. As I walked in, the place looked very clean and organized. It seriously felt like going into a doctor's office where they have hot coffee and people patiently waiting. It didn't feel like a typical repair shop at all. The gentleman named Ernest was awesome!! He quickly took my info and said he will get started on my car asap. The mechanics were nice and very respectful. Once my tire was fixed they said I was free to go and it was free of charge! That's really amazing. They treated a customer like everyone else knowing that they would not make any money off me. Because of their great service to detail I will be coming back. In November 2012 my review was 5 stars. I was very impressed with the staff and service. Now in 2021 I am disappointed. Until this year this was the only shop I would buy my tires from, but now I have moved on. It is unlikely I will go back. I only went in for wheel balance on my 4 tires. This was a couple months ago and I don't actually drive my truck a lot but it picked up some vibration after the wheel balance. Come on! It took 2 phone calls from the shop to find where the factory jack compartment was in my truck. After having told them it was behind the seat on the passenger side. PSSSST, the truck has a back seat also. I mean seriously, at minimum Google or YouTube would have yielded results quicker than calling me 2 times. Admittedly that shook my confidence. I picked up my truck figuring all was good. Soon as I got up to speed I could hear things flinging off the bottom of my truck and could see something shiny bouncing down the freeway behind me. A couple exits later it happened again. Was it the balance weights on my wheels? I don't know. But my confidence was shaken enough to be concerned. When I got home I crawled under my truck to take a look at the balance weights. It may be standard practice, I don't know, but 1 side of the truck had rime weights and the other side tape weights. 25 years as an industrial mechanic we keep things typical so that would not fly in my world. But, I gave them the benefit of the doubt until my truck picked up some additional vibration. I took my truck to a different shop and paid for a 4 wheel balance. My truck no longer has any vibration and it rides smooth like a new truck. Were they trying to wear my tires out quicker to sell me another set? Were they just incompetent? Was I just taking up space because the wheel balance was free? Or did they just not care? I don't know, but I'm very disappointed. read more

We bought two run-flat, directional tires for our Mini Cooper. It all seemed fine until we had the car in for service and the Mini dealer pointed out that one of the two tires was mounted backward (the right front). So I brought the car back to America's Tire to have it remedied, only for the guy who helped me (Josh) to try to convince me that it was actually the right *rear* tire that was backward because he couldn't see the DOT code on the sidewall. He has no idea how directional tires work. And then on top of that, after convincing him that it was indeed the right front that needed to be reversed, he told me it'll be 90 minutes because I'm at the "back of the line." Why am I at the back of the line when it's their own error? Awful experience all around. Go anywhere else for tires. read more

I have not personally used the services here. However, I am yelping as I called them to ask about doing a tire rotation and they advised me it's free. In addition, I asked about tire repair and again they said this was a free service they offer. Given that, I'll put them to the test, however worth saying the person on the phone was very polite, courteous and helpful! I paid $30 for my wife's tire repair the prior week at another local tire business! Moving forward I'll go here and if the service is as good as what the phone service was then we will be new lifetime customers of theirs. I was on the freeway this morning and my sensor went off for my tire and I thought oh my God something a matter with my tire well nothing was a matter with my tire, my sensor just wasn't reset when I had an oil change, so he checked all my sensors and told me everything's good all they had to do was reset them which I was grateful to hear since I had just spent some money for an oil change the person that helped me at American Tire his name is Jedi. My husband and I have been faithful customers of the Pasadena location. While the service was equally great, the wait time is just unbearable, even with an appointment.
