This is an update to my May 6, 2026 review of America's Tire: First off, good old AI changed the name I entered to "Charles Schwab" from Les Schwab. Brokerages don't sell tires! So I actually got a voicemail response from a man at the America's Tire shop. He said to just call him back and they would take care of me. What nobody told him was we originally made our appointment to get our tires checked and rotated because we were driving back to our home the following morning which is in Colorado. There was absolutely nothing he could do for us after the fact. We won't forget sitting in their waiting area for our car to be serviced while walk-in customers who bought new tires go ahead of us even though we had made an appointment. I also won't forget that young man's grin as he told me I would have to pay $130 for new lug nuts (commission) or he wouldn't put my lug nuts he took off back on because of "Safety Concerns". Some things you just don't forget. So what happened with us? I ordered a set of new lug nuts from Amazon and paid extra to have them delivered in three hours. Once they were delivered, this 70 something old man and his slightly younger wife bought a battery powered impact gun and sockets and changed every single lug nut on our car one by one. For the three or four that the socket didn't fit on easily, we used a four way tire iron to remove those by hand. We got it done all by ourselves. Then instead of leaving at eight in the morning as planned, we left at six and towed our long utility trailer behind our car. When we stopped for gas in Nevada, my wife saw a Les Schwab dealer and I drove over and asked how long it would take to rotate our tires. He said no time at all. I showed him we had our twenty foot trailer hooked up and he said still no problem. That guy and a worker used floor jacks and air guns and rechecked the air in all tires plus our four trailer tires in under ten minutes! I tried to tip them twenty bucks but they wouldn't take it. That is the kind of customer service that is hard to find anymore. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Another update: I got a phone call from a guy named Drew but not quite sure because I am hard of hearing, who said he called and I hadn't called him back. I told him I had been driving home to Colorado where we live. That caused him to laugh. When he stopped I told him there was nothing he could do for me as we were now home. I then listed my complaints with the service we received from our appointment. He justified the call his man made about "swollen" lug nuts. I then told him my wife and I changed all twenty and only found three, maybe four, that were enlarged. He then wanted to know if the tires on our car were purchased from them because he couldn't find them listed. I told him we have eight cars and trucks and also get tires from the sister stores, Discount Tire in Colorado Springs - different phone number. Maybe if I hadn't bought the tires from them then the whole complaint is moot. I did ask if their employees work on commission but he said no. My wife later looked the company up on line and the employees do not get direct commission. They do, however, get bonuses based on store sales so they do have incentive to make sure the store makes money. I just want to end this with a shout out to our Discount Tire store we go to in Colorado. They take good care of us. They never charge us for rotations or little things like a broken valve stem. We go in to an appointment and our car is taken right in. They offer bottled water and sodas while we wait. I pay for tire insurance on all tires. Anything wrong they find they are almost apologetic- they have never laughed at us or been disrespectful in any way. This location of America's Tire is located right at the intersection of Greenback and Hazel Aves. just next door to the Auto Zone auto parts store. If you're gonna wait for your tires and need some food, there's a Taco Bell just down the parking lot. Sorry, nothing fancy here, it's what you got! Service is super friendly and well trained. They will do what ever they can to get you the best price and the best tire for you. It's best to make an appointment if you are in for service, like one for the free balance and rotations you get with purchase of tires here. One pro tip on buying tires here and pricing ... they will price match other tire places .... including Costco! Here's the real pro tip, Costco has the same tires and about the same prices on major brand tires like Bridgestone, but what Costco offers sometimes, or I think all the time is the installation is INCLUDED in the price .... so America's Tire will match that too, and give you FREE installation! That's like getting an additional $100 off the total sales price! You have to ask and show that's what the deal is over at Costco to get the match. Killer deal, though it only works on exact tire matches that Costco has that America's Tire sells as well. read more

I've had very hit or miss service with America's Tire over the last couple years so that's why I can't give a 5 star review. Just dealing with the typical upselling and trying to get me to buy things I don't need when I've come by myself, but getting different treatment when I've brought a man with me. Anyways, this time I got my car towed to America's Tire after puncturing (or so I thought) my tire. I didn't realize the AAA driver hadn't actually looked at the tire to confirm it was losing air. He looked at it and I thought that he had determined that it did in fact need to be towed. When I got to America's tire, the guy took a look at the tire and could immediately tell that it was completely fine. There was a big chunk of rubber missing but the cords weren't showing so he said he was completely confident that it was safe and could still be driven. He was actually frustrated with the AAA driver for not even checking and towing it unnecessarily. I just really appreciate the fact that he didn't take advantage of me when he could've easily made a $350 sale on a tire and I wouldn't have known better. Something similar had already happened at this location so that's why I was pleasantly surprised that he was honest with me. I won't name him or provide the date I came by because I don't want to get him in trouble but it does show that there are some good people left in the world who aren't just there to make a quick buck. read more

This is a great store with a great staff. I have taken both our cars to this store for tire rotation and was in and out in the shortest possible time. Everyone is businesslike, courteous and friendly. Although I tried the store on Bidwell Street in Folsom first because it is closer to my home, the lack of staff and the enormous wait time, forced me to look for other options. They only wanted to sell me new tires. Been a customer for twenty years. Talked to manager who agreed to rotate but stated rotating tires does not make a difference in tire longevity. Wow..... I've been buying tires for a lot of years. This is our tire place. Period! Always treated with respect by knowledgeable staff. Can't beat the prices and the free air check, balance and rotation. The road hazard certificate just saved me some money when one of my tires was damaged beyond repair. Rather than replace just the one damaged tire i chose to buy a wet of four. Cost a few bucks but gave me the peace of mind of having four tires of the same make and model and with the same tread wear... in this case new tires with no wear. In my mind life is too short to skimp on tires. We opted for Michelon Defenders. They are rated for mud/snow, have a good tread wear guarantee and give a good ride feel. I've given a lot of Yelp reviews over the years, and I always wonder about the circumstances of the one and two star reviews. I've looked some of them over for this business and can truly say that I don't understand how or why some folks purport to not getting good service. A couple of weeks ago I got a "low pressure" warning about one tire, so I drove into a different branch of America's Tire Store, and they immediately went to work fixing that tire. America's Tire in Orangevale has been great! I took our Subaru in to get a nail out, and they fixed it free even though I didn't buy the tires there and don't have their warranty on our tires. Two months later, the patch was still leaking, and they replaced the tire at no charge! I have gotten tires there for our other car, and I have always been out of there quicker than they estimated. They have treated every customer with respect, communicated well, and never tried to sell anyone anything they didn't need. Excellent service. I was greeted by Gregory who took his time to introduce himself with a handshake. He was thorough and knowledgable and explained the status of my tires in depth. Logan was the technician who serviced my truck and he took time to walk over to show and describe issues surrounding my lug nuts on my aged vehicle and why I should consider lugs that are not warped (in the event of an emergency) so that I can change my tires easier should I come across a situation where that is Warrented. Both individuals were gentle, approachable, and made me feel Comfortable as a woman who is in a predominantly male service center. I've been a loyal America's Tire customer for 20+ years, but today was a major letdown. I brought in my well-maintained 1990 Land Cruiser for a free tire rotation, a service promised for the life of the tire when purchased. Despite my tires showing even wear and no damage, the employee refused to rotate them--saying they were "too old" (purchased in 2016) and that it "wouldn't help," even though your own site guarantees free lifetime rotations. When we called later, the same employee admitted it's not store policy to deny rotations based on age alone. So why deny service that was part of the contract? This feels like a breach of trust and commitment. Very disappointing from a company we've supported for decades. read more

Had tires originally installed by Costco, which had a leaky valve stem. Since I couldn't get a hold of the Costco tire center, I went to America's tires to get it fixed. Spencer quoted me a replacement stem at $88 dollars (TPMS type). I told them to go ahead. They were done in 15 minutes! It cost $0 since a replacement wasn't needed. Their honesty was refreshing! I've been buying tires for lots of different vehicles here for many years and have never had any problems. Today I noticed a large nail head in my front tire, instead of taking the vehicle home and risk having it go flat I went to this America's Tire store. Someone quickly came out and looked at it, went back, got a tool and fluid to test for a leak. He slowly extracted what turned out to be a screw and said there should be no problem since it didn't penetrate enough to cause a leak. We talked about the age of the tires and tread levels, no pressure whatsoever from him. I decided to wait a few months then return for a new set of tires. No charge and upfront advice, in my opinion you're in good hands dealing with this store. read more

Came in today with an appointment. Hoping I could get this screw out and just get a quick repair done but as always it's too close to the side wall, I was fine with that. Now let's talk about what my options are. Like how people talk about what brand, size and even recommendations, you know sales and customer service. So I started asking what would it cost for the same exact factory tires in a set of 4. He said $1700 for everything and the obvious follow up question was isn't that kinda expensive? And here's what happened... Let me set this up a bit further. I have my son with me in a stroller next to me, yes family man. So I have this older gentleman (if you can call him that) to my right chiming in about "we'll you bought an expensive car, it saves you gas but really expensive to maintain" what killed it is you got the person behind the counter who's supposed to be showing me options "agreeing" with the customer... so I said okay I did some research and asked him about Michelins Cross Climate and before I could even say the size he said "Those won't fit my car" and I said here are the measurements 255/45/r20, looked at the douchebag who was talking out of his neck.. yup I did my research and these ones are better priced and way better tires... they both pretty much got quiet after that. So I used their showroom floor to go on Yelp, research more tires, make calls to other shops and find the right place to give my money to. I have supported this company and it was my go to tire place for a good decade. I've seen people with BMWs, Audi, Mercedes all of them asking and seeing if they could get a deal, so the car doesn't matter, nor the money, it's the principal and respect. Yeah I blame the other customer but at the end of the day I feel that the person behind the counter should've stopped all that... anyway there's a huge bias againts EVs at this place and I'm really happy I didn't give them any of my money. Really wanted to say something to both of these clowns but chose not to since I'm with my Son. If you folks want 5 Star Service? Someone that will walk you through your options? I don't know why I continue to go to this location. Every time I leave with a light on in the dash. NOW all 4 sensors NOT WORKING. These morons cant seem to figure out TPMS sensors. They broke one last time I was here, and here we are again leaving with a light blinking in my face. Already waited 2 hours and now I cant wait another hour to see if you can figure out a simple sensor. My last review below "Took my truck in to have a low tire looked at. Left the truck and came back at the end of the day. Had something in the tire close to the sidewall, so warranty covered tire replacement. Came to pick up my truck and the sales rep informed me they replaced the tire under warranty and I paid to have the new tire put under warranty. When I start my truck to leave the TPMS light comes on not reading the rim they just put the tire on. I shut the truck off and go back inside. Sales rep says "OH Yeah, we tried to scan those and none of the TPMS sensors would read at first". This set of rims and tires were bought new, with new sensors, from Americas Tire about a year ago. Im pretty sure they broke the TPMS sensor installing the new tire. And no option was even given to me to replace it. Now I get to stare at a flashing TPMS light in my cluster the whole time I drive my truck. I have spent thousands of dollars at Americas Tire on multiple vehicles. This is the second and worst customer service experience I had with this company in the last couple months." read more

Friendly fast working staff, they only have so many vehicles they can get in to the bays at a time, if alot of patrons they are going to be busy and you will have a wait. They had a lot of staff members working from what I could see so not a staff issue. I definitely suggest making an appt if you do the wait time is not as bad. I had a 4:15 Appt on Dec 2nd and they were swamped but out the door in 45 mins. Others were being told 2-2 1/2 hr wait. They only had one tire and because of Awd was told need to have two same tires in back. So would need to come back another day. So fast forward three days as this is the soonest I could come back in, they made another appt 830a Dec 5. Was in and out 20 mins, others on store told 1 hour. They said they do have WiFi but when I was in store both days not able to connect. When I asked about it they said it's very weak and spotty. So if you come into store don't expect to be able to use your laptop to work while waiting may not be able too. read more

Spent approximately $2300 (rims & tire package and a 4-tire install (purchased warranty) on another vehicle (I bought a set of tires from Walmart). Customer service was great as usual as I'm a repeat customer at this store. Only had an appointment for my '19 Subaru Forester Sport (new tires on another set of rims that I provided). They were able to fit in my new rims & tires install on my '21 Cadillac CT5 at the same time. Within 45 minutes, both cars were done. They loaded all my old wheels with tires into my Subaru and I left as one happy customer, so I thought. A couple of days later as I was transferring my 20" Cadillac wheels from plastic bags to new wheel storage bags, I noticed that I was missing a center cap from one wheel and that another wheel was damaged (will cost $175 to repair by Kelly Wheel Repair). Sent off an email to the shop stating what I found and was contacted by Greg the very next day. Thought the situation was going well but haven't heard a peep from them since. Update: Contacted by Greg this morning and he stated his shop will do whatever is necessary to make things right. Let's see if they can earn that fifth star. 2nd update: Went to the shop on February 25th and was given a new wheel center cap and then they subtracted the $175 (for the Cadillac wheel damage) from a new set of tires installation for my '12 Honda Civic LX Sedan plus a five percent military discount. All in all, they earned a five-star rating from me and will continue to get my business because they take accountability for their services. Thanks Greg! read more

Stopped by around 2:30pm, Dakota was almost immediately available (took a brief moment to answer another employee). He walked out with me to personally inspect, then asked me to pull into the bay. Determined tires are great and he filled them up while being informative. His demeanor and language was exceptionally professional for a young man of his age. This was a breath of fresh air for this area. I can not stress how fantastic it was to be in and out of there within 5-10 minutes. I wouldn't consider going anywhere else for my tire needs.
