I made an appointment actually at America's Tire and ended up waiting almost an hour because I just wanted my tires rotated (no purchase so people buying tires went ahead). They tried the hard sell on balancing the tires and tried selling me a brand new spare tire and wheel. I just kept saying NO. After my car finally went into a bay, the worker comes in and tells me my lug nuts are "Swollen" and for me to come see. The guy tried to sell me a new set of lug nuts for $130! Then he says he can't even put my lug nuts he took off back on because of "Safety Concerns". I told him to put my car together just like it came in and I would take it somewhere else. Eventually I got my car back. Everything was a hard sell and truth stretching. So then I went to Les Schwab just down the street and told them of my experience. The guys were super nice - no hard sell here. A very polite young man named Jacob checked all the tires and air checked them all. He also checked the lug nuts and did find some that had internal corrosion. He explained that there was a steel living with an aluminum outer shell that can get water or salt inside. A socket might not go on easily. He said he could order a set for us. He was a good guy...no lying about safety and no arm twisting. A respectable guy. I reserved the first appointment of the day for a front-end alignment. The woman at the counter acted like she hated her job. No smile. No acknowledgement I was a valuable customer. I could get over that, I suppose, but I sat in the waiting room for 30 minutes and no one even started the work. My truck sat in the parking lot unattended. I know the service guy was there, because they said they could start immediately when I asked for my truck key back. But if they can't respect my time, then I don't respect their business. I thought I'd just slip in and out of the area undetected-- and then I popped a tire on the corner of Madison and Greenback. For those who aren't familiar, this is where Riley (the main street of Folsom) splits into the two major roads that run through Orangevale and Citrus Heights to Sacramento and Roseville. I felt like I was on display with my popped tire. So embarrassing. One of my friends told me I should be grateful that this happened in town rather than out in the woods, which was a valid point. I filled my tire up at Arco, and rolled in to this Les Schwab, where I was informed that my two front tires needed to be replaced. I was not happy about this. I'd just driven like 12 hours straight, and was trying to just dip into my storage before turning right back around. Plus, I was pretty sure I'd had a tire patched not very long ago (it turned out to be like four months ago). But, when we went out and looked at the tires, and they showed me the tread depth reading compared to when I should have replaced my tires, I realized I was in the wrong. They were fully booked for the day, but fortunately the manager was able to squeeze me in, considering that I was camping out of my car. I drove the tires home across two states, and have driven all over Washington since... and they've held up fine so far. I only wish I had gotten better tires, which I'm sure I would have done if I had more time to think and shop for a better deal. They do have a 60 day exchange policy and a sale going on... I might upgrade my whole set, but if so, it will be at a local store. Overall, I was very satisfied with the work they did and grateful they were able to squeeze me in and find me the best deal available at the time. read more

I have lived in this area for over 28 years, and I highly recommend this location of Les Schwab because they consistently provide excellent service. I had to get four new tires yesterday, and all of the staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. They took the time to explain everything that my car needed and why they recommended a few adjustments to what I had initially planned to do after one of my tires blew the day prior. I very much appreciate things being explained to me in an easy to understand manner without any sort of over the top sales pushiness. The staff was very friendly and helpful during my visit, and the waiting area is kept very clean and comfortable. First time visiting Les Schwab to get the tire pressure light issue resolved. I had barely gotten out of my car when I was greeted by Jacob. I was impressed with the cleanliness and offerings of the waiting area (coffee, popcorn, nice tv, children's area). In no time at all, Tristan said my car was ready. He'd found a small screw in the tire which was causing the air leak. The tire was repaired and when I asked "how much do I owe you?", his reply was "no charge"! Stopped by a couple of weeks ago as I had a nail in my tire and was losing air. Asked the gentleman behind the desk if I could get the flat repaired. He said no problem give me an hour...hour in a half. Really I explained to him that I had a work meeting I had to get to. He told me a truck just came in and the guys are busy unloading it. Keep in mind only two vehicles in the shop one appeared to be completed and at least four employees that I could see walking around in the shop. This place is amazing!!!! My family's been coming here for years and now that I have my own car, I have brought it here when I needed help with little things like replacing a splashguard and aligning my wheels. They make it so easy to understand for a young woman, and that's amazing. They've always done great work and managed to slip me in, even on seemingly busy days. I always make an online appointment though, just so they know I'm coming. Again, today, I had an amazing experience and everyone there was so helpful and quick. I walked in on a Monday morning for a diagnosis (one tire was not maintaining pressure and the tire pressure sensor was on even after filling all tires to the appropriate pressure). It was recommended that I replace all sensors and tires (the tread on all tires was low), and then get an alignment. I had already expected this recommendation so it wasn't a shock and I proceeded with the service recommendation because of the value (price and Les Schwab warranty). The diagnosis, getting the sensor parts from another store, replacing all sensors and tires, and the alignment only took 4 hours despite numerous walk-in customers and phone calls. The staff communicated with me throughout the process and were pleasant to interact with. Overall, I'm pleased with my service and would recommend this location to others. read more

Great location in Orangevale near where I live. Always have had such a positive experience w/ Les Schwab service centers - highly trained, educated, professional staff providing solid and reliable service. They know their stuff and their jobs, so if you have any detailed questions RE the services, they're happy to answer questions and ensure you feel happy w/ the work done. I haven't gotten this at all auto-work locations, so it is much appreciated. Very comfortable sitting area w/ wifi and tables/plugs if you need to get some work done, you can bring your laptop and grab a chair and some coffee. Plenty of parking. Also, if you want to leave your vehicle for them to work on, they're happy to do that as well. It's a busy location so they may often have a little bit of a wait, but it's such a comfortable waiting area it's not that big of a deal. Got an alignment here, provided 30-day warranty. If I had a suggestion, it would be that the warranty should be a bit longer. Our service techs name was Jacob and he was great. Pretty good job by these guys. 4 new tires and also requested an alignment. They checked the alignment and said it was within the specs, thus no alignment needed. They could have upsold me and done it anyways, so I really appreciate the honesty. The only issue was they show 8am as opening time, and I had an 8am appointment. Got there at 7:50 or so and they're already open with multiple cars being worked on and customers sitting in the lobby. This wouldn't have been an issue if my work started at 8:00, but it didn't. It was 8:17 when my car was finally pulled into the service bay. Not great considering I had what I thought was the first appointment - would have just walked in at 7:30 if I knew that was an option. My husband & I have gone to Les Schwab Tire Center for years. Yesterday, I got a low notice for my tires. My husband passed away 7/21.... He always took care of this for me (73yo). I went to Les Schwab, told them I needed my tires checked and not only did they check & fill up my tires, I asked to schedule a tire rotation (another husband took care of). I went back today and tire rotation was no charge. NOTE: My car still had original tires, not Les Schwab .... He smiled when he said it would be "a while'" before I needed new tires. I've liked the overall service we've received from Les Schwab (multiple locations) and would overwhelmingly recommend to anyone! Excellent service I've been to this location and many others time and time again. They provide excellent service are above and beyond when it comes to integrity and honesty. This location is by far my favorite just today I brought my vehicle in for brake service. I hadn't changed the rotors since I bought the vehicle but started hearing squeaking. When the mechanic checked it he came and told me that no replacement was necessary . I explained my concern with the noise and asked him to please make sure that nothing was wrong a second time he nodded his head, ran some readings a couple times, came back and assured me that everything was fine. He also suggested although it wouldn't make the brakes more functional they could resurface to eliminate the noise. I didn't take them up on resurfacing but I am FORSURE a customer for life ! read more

We had a leaky tire on the front left tire of my son's Honda Civic. After repeated advice to get it fixed he finally took it in to this shop as I've had great experiences with our other two cars. Long story short they replaced the right rear saying it was the only one leaking and too worn to fix. The following day my son got stranded bc his front left tire was flat AGAIN and the spare was also low on air. Took it back to Les Schwab and yes they agreed that the front left was leaking badly but were very adamant that the first time around it was the right rear that was flat. We have been going to this particular Les Schwab Center for 20+ years. Today was the worst experience. We called on a Monday to make an appt at 8:00am for that Friday for our trailer. When we got there the person at the counter rushed us off and for the first time at this center we felt unwelcome. We called at 1:00pm to find out the progress and they never started our trailer and made excuses as to why. We picked up our trailer without the work being done. If we were a walk-in, I could understand it, but the appt was made 5 days in advance. We are very disappointed and hope improvements are made to avoid this happening to another person. Don't bring your car here. Especially if you have a dual motor electric vehicle they don't have a single clue about how an all-wheel-drive works for an EV. Try to hassle me about getting all four tires after I explain to them that I only needed two being that each axle has its own motor and differential, they agreed I called them five minutes later to make sure that each tire would be paired and they tell me they will not perform the work saying that the manual says all four need to be changed. come to find out the manuall doesn't say anything about changing tires yet alone changing all of them at once. Put it this way they called the Ford dealership just to figure out how to change an electric vehicles tires that's crazy to me. I will never come back. They are rip off anyway. Felt bad for the dual motor Tesla pulling up. Bunch of rookies work here and their prices are higher than anywhere else. This morning I went to the Madison location (never been) and only decided to go there on a fluke. I have an Acura MDX SUV and I had called Acura Niello in Roseville because I thought I needed brakes and there was some sound coming from under my car when I turned or went over bumps. I call Niello and they share that it's 200 bucks per area to look at! Yikes 400 bucks to tell me what I think is pretty visible if you lift. Anyway, I go to Les Schwab and walk in and the guy behind the counter tells me that he will check it out: I'm of course at home googling how much axles are lol. Fast forward, I find out that I don't need brakes and the person who last did my work left a bolt loose. Wow, like honestly I would have paid probably a ton by some other place that saw some lady walking in diagnosing a huge job. Nope! Urrrgggg I was very close on calling a tow truck to tow my car to the Rancho Cordova store. This store is a sh*t show.
