The staff immediately deflected blame, claiming the damage was pre-existing. Here is the issue: If the tire was truly damaged before they touched it, they never should have started working on it because a ripped sidewall is a major safety hazard. But they put on rim and put pressure and told me its ready . They used the damage they caused to pressure me into purchasing two new tires for $175, giving me a $25 "discount" on the initial fee as a cover. They damaged my property, blamed me for it, and forced a sale. Beware of their business practices. The mechanic installed the front differential actuator in 4WD while the transfer case was still in 2WD and failed to check that both were matched before installation. Because of that mistake, he blew the bushing, and I had to go buy a new transfer case actuator out of my own pocket because of his carelessness. After their work, my car became hard to reverse, hard to accelerate, revved high just to go about 10 mph, and now I can hear and feel grinding from the drivetrain. None of this was happening before they touched it. Instead of owning their mistake and making it right, they wanted more money to keep working on the mess they created. That is unacceptable. A basic step in this job was making sure both actuators were in the same position before installing the part, and they failed to do that. That would be the peeps at El Dorado Hills Big O Tire! I need my car! I need my car running and in good driving order. When some problem arises which may put my vehicle in jeopardy...I panic. That happened a few weeks ago at the end of the day when a light appeared on my dashboard showing a tire pressure issue. With some major trips coming up for me and not knowing where to take my car... I had a toss-and-turn kind of night. Up early the next day with coffee in hand, I searched Yelp. There it was just a few miles from my house. Big O Tire! Wasting not a minute, I drove there and was greeted by Steve behind the counter who immediately took my keys and went to my car to check things out. Not too long after, he brought a photo of my tire with a nail deeply embedded. Ugh! No one at the shop mentioned this damage to us at all. When Paul brought it to the staff's attention, we were told they couldn't find replacement parts and couldn't fix the damage they caused. We were then forced to spend our own time and money getting repair quotes -- all of which were extremely high. We even went so far as to cross the border into Tijuana to get a more reasonable estimate, which came back at $1,500. The manager asked us to send him the quote. We did. After that? Silence. We called repeatedly, left voicemails, and followed up multiple times. Each time we managed to reach him, he claimed he'd "get back to us." He never did. Eventually, he stopped answering the phone and ignored our messages entirely. This location: Damaged our RV Failed to disclose it Took zero responsibility Wasted countless hours of our time Then outright ghosted us This is unprofessional, dishonest, and unacceptable behavior, especially when dealing with an RV that represents a major investment.
