In the past, I've made the mistake of walking in without an appointment and ended up waiting for hours, so I've definitely learned my lesson. Scheduling ahead of time really makes a difference, especially going into the weekend when most people are trying to squeeze in last-minute car maintenance. The young gentleman who assisted me was friendly, professional, and welcoming from the start. He explained the process clearly and gave me an estimated wait time. Even though the shop was busy, the service only took about 45 minutes, which was actually faster than what they initially predicted. Wow, wow, wow. I love America's Tire, and their quality never disappoints no matter which one you go to. I got a flat on my way to work in the morning, and managed to hobble my car to the office. Since I got off work a little early to fix my tire, I called this shop in the afternoon to see if they can fit me in to get 4 new tires (my car was due to a tire change anyways). They told me they were fully booked, but I felt like they could clearly empathize with me over the phone, and were able to fit me in. Although the wait a couple hours, I was still surprised on how they had my tire size and in stock, and how well the employees' knowledge was assisting me choose the right tire. I love how professional, friendly, and hardworking everyone is at this company. I was even more surprised on how they got me in and out with new tires with only a few hours notice! I had a great experience at America's Tire on El Camino Real in Palo Alto. I initially went in for a new tire and was helped by Brian, who was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. He really took the time to explain my options and made the process easy to understand. During the visit, I realized my tires were still under warranty through Sam's Club. I ended up canceling my service at America's Tire, and they refunded me without any issues. What really stood out was Brian's attitude. There were no hard feelings at all. He told me his offer would still stand if I decided to come back and remained just as professional and pleasant throughout the entire interaction. After driving to Sam's Club, I found their prices slightly more affordable due to the warranty, but the difference wasn't significant. Ultimately, I decided to come back to America's Tire purely because of the outstanding customer service. Brian made such a positive impression that it outweighed the small price difference. I even had the option of going to Costco or Sam's Club, but I chose America's Tire because of how well I was treated. When I went back Brian was not available but Alejandro helped me out with the same level of professionalism. They replaced all four tires in less than 30 minutes, and the pricing was very comparable to Costco and Sam's Club. I literally came back because of the customer service alone. Any chance they get (say your tire is bit worn out or looks bad on thread) they will try to replace your tire. If you are partially replacing, not replacing all 4. They will dictate and install wherever they want. They will override owner's instructions. For example, on my RWD sports car they installed new tires on the front despite my request of putting them on the rear and putting the old ones on the front. An advisor almost wanted to help me on this. Store manager Brian reiterated bureaucratic statement and prevented everyone else in the store in doing a rotation to fix that. They have free rotations. But I had to go out of their chain to get a rotation done by paying. Very inconvenient: this chain abuses BAR rules to inflate business profit (sell more tires and override car owners request). read more

If I could give more stars I would. I cannot believe how awesome the service was at this location. I called on a Saturday right at closing and the person who assisted me helped me for 15 minutes even though I told him I knew they were closed. He absolutely told me not to worry about it. He answered my questions on the warranty on my tires and got me set up for monday. I went in on Monday morning knowing I needed 2 new tires. Alejandro made great recommendations and got me into the perfect tires for far less than I was expecting to pay. He walked me through all the different brands and we were able to get 4 tires for what I was expecting to pay for two. He then proceeded to throw in wiper blades and had me out the door in under an hour. You have got me as a customer for life because of these two gentleman and the hospitality they showed. read more

Every other Americas tire I have been to have sucked! Always pushy with up-sale, ruined tire pressure sensors and refusing to pay to fix them however this one is awesome! I'm going to update this review by putting it back to 5-stars. I had someone (formerly Sears auto worker with many years of tire experience) look at the tire and in all fairness, he couldn't find the slow leak either. I was told it "could" leak very slowly with the weight of the car on the tire but not leak when checking a static tire on the rim with no weight on it. Said this was a good candidate for a can of fix-a-flat. I installed a can, and inflated tire to 32PSI and it's been good for the last week of use. I still think the values are poor on the certificates for flat repairs if it's that difficult to use and get a timely appointment as I could have just taken care of this at the local gas station quickly for a few dollars. In retrospect, I would have saved a lot of time using a can of fix-a-flat to begin with so lesson learned. To each his own on whether the certificates are a good buy. For me, tire replacement/unrepairable flat would be the value. Anything else, I'll just give the guy at the gas station a few bucks and save myself the time. read more

My Tesla X had a slow leak -which Tire America discovered AFTER my recent 4 wheel alignment - and TIRE INSPECTION completed by Tesla of Palo Alto. Tesla reported my rear tire treads at 5s and 7s - and they assured me that the car was good shape to give my car to my daughter to drive across the country. What Tesla of Palo Alto MISSED in their tire inspection and $270 4 wheel alignment was the FACT that the STEEL BELTS of the rear tires were EXPOSED The Tire America technician simply went out to my Tesla X to inspect for a nail - and discovered the steel belts were exposed- and the source of the slow leak. I am somewhat disappointed with America's Tire and this location as well. I dropped $1800.00 on tires here 8 months back. One of the reasons was the fact that AT gives free rotation. The reality is this location and AT in general are horrible about this. It took 2 weeks to get an appointment and when I showed up on time I had to wait for 20 minutes before it was my turn. And service advisor told me it would be an hour wait. So if you think you can roll in and do a tire rotation be prepared for an hour and a half wait. I can do it in 20 minutes myself with a crank style jack. I even made appointments at other locations and showed up and at one there was a line around the parking lot just to consult with the service advisor. The ones at this location on El Camino seem like zombies. Uncaring, unfriendly, cold and unprofessional. I will never use America's tire again thanks to this store. Go to a smaller locally owned if you can. This is a corporate ripoff. read more

Our Tesla Model Y was leaking air suddenly and we needed a repair. Called them one day and they mentioned it was probably too late to bring it in as a walk-in, so I'm glad they didn't waste my time. They told me to try another day in the late morning/before the afternoon to squeeze me in. Next day I brought my car in and found a spot (don't block the bays!) and they said it'd take 1.5-2hrs and to check the status of my car via the text message I got. They provided me pricing options if I needed to replace the tire itself, which they had in stock. They were able to repair the flat, caused by a screw that went right into the middle of the tire so I couldn't see it myself at night. Was pleasantly surprised how fast and smooth things went! America's Tire are a solid franchise with consistent service all around. I have been coming to America's Tire (various locations) for almost a decade and I always come out of it very pleased. I was able to do a walk-in around 4:30pm on a Tuesday (after finding a nail in my tire earlier in the afternoon) and I was out the door by 5:50pm. Yes, a bit of a wait but for not having an appointment, I was extremely impressed and happy with their service. Luckily, my tire was salvageable so they repaired it for free (I'll definitely be back when I need to change the tire out). Additionally, Anthony was a solid sales associate and extremely friendly.
