What can I say? Brian is amazing! Long story coming - get out some tissue. First, I took my 2023 Acura TLX Type S to get new tires at a San Jose Tire Shop. However, I left aftermarket plastic protective covers on the lug nuts. The covers come off very easily with a hooked tweezer tool (1 second per lug nut). Unfortunately, the tech used a box wrench and scratched every single lug nut area on every wheel (see pics with nicks around lug nuts) and caused other chips on the face of two of the wheels. I told the shop owner about the situation. To his credit, he said he would take care of it. Weeeeelllll... I wish he didn't. The paint shop that did the "repair" didn't sand or prep the wheels, painted over chips causing blobby runs, the paint was the wrong color, and the paint started to come off just with washing with soap and water (see picks with silver paint over the dark gray coming off). Unacceptable. I called The Wheel guys and sent Brian pics. Brian said he could fix it. I decided to remove all the wring color paint the other shop put on. It took me 4 hours to using soapy water and non-scratch scotch pads. Brain originally told me he couldn't fix the area around the lug nut area since his tools wouldn't fit. So I took a chance and removed the worst wheels from the car. Brian took a look and said he could fix those as well. Brian ended up fixing 3 wheels and made them look basically brand new. They do excellent work (my rims were in rough shape, I've owned my car for 14 years), they do the work quickly (all four rims in ~1hr), they are great communicators and their costs are fair. I was able to schedule a next day appointment for my newly purchased but used vehicle and the owner kept me in the loop on their estimated time of arrival and other need-to-knows.
