Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon to get one of my tires changed. I had bought my tire online somewhere else and the installation for a 21" tire was $45. I gave a courtesy call about 5 minutes before I headed over and they had 2 mechanics helping out different customers. It's nice that I didn't have to wait at all and had the guy lift up one corner of my car in order to help replace my tire. Wow fantastic. Flat rear tire from rim hitting a curb. Foam fix a flats didn't work. My fault for driving carelessly. No hard sell on upcharges like wheel works. No hard sell no tire insurance. No hard sell in having to replace 2 tires at once if one is unfixable like Costco or some BS saying it is the "law". 50$ for a used tire $120 for new. First time trying a used tire. Finished in 10m, handed him a 50$ bill. Done! So easy. The used tires are better for single tire replacement so the wear tracks across all 4 tires. No long wait like costco. This place is completely unprofessional and do not listen to the customers needs. This is the second time my fiancée has taken her car to them (I work a lot so I am unable to take the car myself ok). The first time she took it they were literally going to scam her into buying a used tire for an insane premium. I told her that it was a rip off and to just take the car back home. This time against her better judgement she had the car taken in for a simple tire patch due to a slow leak from a nail. They told her nothing was wrong with the car... mind you I saw the nail myself. They clearly didn't even LOOK at the tire. This establishment does not take women seriously at all. It's shameful and unacceptable. We usually get our tires fixed at Costco, but they were busy today. I checked in Yelp and found this place a few blocks away. We pulled in, and within a few minutes, they sprayed some bubbles on the tires, asked me to slowly back up, found the leak, jacked up the car, pulled the nail, and plugged the hole. Literally 10 minutes after we pulled in, they fixed the leak! $20 ... I thought it was a good deal even though Costco would fix the leak for free. read more

Yes, they're quick, yes they're responsive and yes they have great reviews. That's why I came here to get my tires replaced. I got my tires replaced 7/3/2023. About a week ago, I noticed one of the tires kept losing air and I would have to air it up every 2-3 days. I assumed it was a nail and just needed a quick patch so I went back. Nope! The inside of my tires were balding and the wires were exposed. 6 months was all my tires lasted!! They said it could be my suspensions causing the tires to wear so quickly and that it wasn't coverage under warranty. Ok, fair enough. I was going to have them replace all 4 tires. But they started speaking in Spanish, the lady at the front desk wouldn't answer my questions, and I just felt like something shady was going on. I sat in my car and called a few other places for recommendations. I'm sure they heard me bc all of a sudden they started jacking up my car while my 3 year old and I were sitting in the car! I asked them to drop my car and he literally dropped it, making my daughter fall off her seat. Shady af! I took off and went to San Jose to another tire shop. They told me my alignment was totally off and that why the tires wore so quickly. Nothing wrong with my suspension. I'm just another female they ripped off. Don't waste your money here. read more

Tire was totally flat, came here without an appointment, the guys were able to immediately look at my tire and said it can't be patched and I'd need a replacement. I was scared at how expensive it would be. However, not only did they have a tire in my size in stock (every other shop I've been to previously have had to order my tires), they only charged me $150 for the tire and service! That was about as low as I could possibly expect. Finally the whole thing only took about 15 minutes, I was expecting hours to days! My front tire was low so I called Rich's and asked how long the wait was and if they could check my tire. Upon arriving, there was no wait and they were able to see me right away. They found a small nail, repaired my tire and checked the air in the rest of my tires. They also sell tires in case you need to buy a spare/or a set of 4. I've passed this place so many times on the way to the freeway and never noticed it was a tire shop. Easy access to 101 fwy! I was in and out between 10-15 mins including paying for services. It's always nice to get something done that is urgent in a timely manner. I called Rich's tires and within 25 minutes, someone was here, fixed our tire and was out! Talk about crazy good and efficient service! I didn't catch the guys name who came out, but he was very polite and friendly as well. This was not for my personal car, but for our work truck. Called right when they opened due to having a nail in my tire and they said to come down whenever. Got there around 715ish and waited for the couple of people that got there first and was amazed to see the owner/shop worker work so quick! He was able to get me patched up and going in what felt like less then 10 minutes! I think I spent maybe a total of 30 minutes at the shop all together. And the fact that it was only $20? Came by to get a couple tires mounted the other day and the process was pretty quick. Alex was great and managed to get better pricing with cash! The techs were quick, careful, and efficient when jacking up the car. However, they did knick a few more places on my rims and most importantly didn't balance properly, resulting in massive vibration as soon as I got on the freeway. ...this resulted in a repeat visit the next morning to find out that the balance was off quite a bit on one wheel at least! ...and the car still vibrates on the freeway after the rebalance...aye aye aye. Despite being in Mountain View, the garage is quite basic. Parking is also quite challenging! ...will be heading back to Tire Merchants moving forward...where my tires are properly mounted and balanced... read more

Excellent! Just as it happened, my and my daughter's car had tire issues a couple of weeks ago. My tire got scraped on the pavement and I lost a chunk of the tire. I went to the big guys - Wheel Works - who were absolutely sweet but could not swap my existing tire for a pre-used spare tire that I had in my garage. I went to Rich's and they took 15 min and $35 to swap my tire out. The next week, my daughter complained that her tire was losing air very frequently, and again I went for a diagnostic at the corporate tire place, and they found a nail in the tire, that they could not fix for some random silly reason. And they recommended that I buy 4 tires from them because the tread was low etc. Anyway, I went to Rich's and he literally took 5 min and $20 to take out the nail and plug in the hole caused by the nail. And he said that the tread was also totally fine and the tires had at least another year in them. Amazing service and nice people. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT DAMAGE ON YOUR RIM !! **YELP, DO NOT DELETE THIS POST.** I have my tire patched from this place and one of their mechanics damaged my wheel while unmounting the tire. My wheel was clean and no damage on it. After patching the tire, damage is everywhere on the rim. Deep line scratches around the lip between tire and rim and small dents as well. They even made damage inside of the rim and barrel. I noticed this happened when I got home and went to the shop 2 days later. They straight up lie to my face and picking up a paint issue on my wheel. What does paint to do with these fresh scratches you made????? I know how the tool, tire changer works. the damage was made clearly from immature skill from the mechanic. read more

Be careful at this establishment if you're doing anything other than fixing a flat or replacing a tire. I bought new tires and went to Rich's nearby to have them installed. The staff were not very friendly, let's start out with that. They put my tires on and balanced them (so they said), they also don't do alignment. I paid and left. As soon as I went onto 101, my entire car started vibrating at around 60mph. This was NEVER an issue before. We took my car back the next morning and they balanced only 2 of the tires that day. Note: I initially paid for 4 properly balanced tires with the installation. Despite this, the vibration continued. We went back AGAIN the next day to have the back 2 tires balanced. The technician told us it's an "alignment issue". That being said, I went to have my alignment checked at Wheel Works. While my alignment was indeed a bit off, the vibration still persisted after it was fixed. As a last resort, we rotated my tires at home and that fixed the issue slightly. I finally returned to Wheel Works to have the balance checked one last time. Needless to say, ALL of my tires were extremely unbalanced. The technician at Rich's placed 3x the amount of weights needed on my tires. My steering wheel and tires could have been damaged. So, these guys either have no idea what they're doing, or their machines are not calibrated on a regular basis, which is odd since these services are the cornerstone of a tire shop. For them to charge me $140 and not even deliver the service I paid for after coming back twice is beyond unprofessional, it's pure negligence. They only care about running your pockets. I will not be coming back and recommend others to take their business elsewhere. read more

The best tire shop around. Very fast, very honest. A few months ago I had a screw in my tire, so drove gingerly over there to get it patched. They removed the tire, pulled the screw out with a pliers, tested it for leaks, and said "no repair needed". Put the wheel back on my car and I was out of there in 10 minutes, no charge! (And the tire was indeed fine). And most recently I brought it a tire with a nail in the side wall (and it was leaking like a sieve) and they pulled it, determined that the sidewall was too damaged (I'd been driving on it flat) to fix, and was able to put on a new tire quickly and at reasonable prices. I was impressed they had the tire in stock (for a 12 year old Fiat) and that I could do all this without an appointment. They are my go-to now for any tire issues. -Dan read more
