We were able to make reservations same day and the spa is small but inviting & relaxing. I got the 60 minute Swedish massage and Maureen was amazing! Came here for a massage. Bought a Groupon for my parents and my self. You do need to pay gratitude, it's about $16 a person. Definitely different then other hotels I went too. They don't have a locker room or robe or slippers. So bring your one shoes for the pool. You carry your stuff to the pool & in the room where you get your massage. You change in the massage room. We were late but glad they fit us in their schedule cause we tried calling in before but no one answered. My massage was great. Definitely hit the points that needed it. My parents wanted harder pressure but didn't receive it. I thought mine was hard pressure or maybe I'm just fragile. We got to go to the pool. The big pool with water running was so cold. There's a smaller one that isn't that cold. There's 2 jacuzzis. There's a bar outside. They gave us drink tickets and $5 off food or beverage from the bar. read more

My husband and I were at WeKoPa Casino Resort for a convention last month. So while he was doing busy "conventioning" and mingling, I decided to splurge and get a massage. Due to Covid, it had been quite a long time since my last spa day, so I was looking forward to some pampering. This spa was clean, elegant, and had an inviting atmosphere. The ladies were very professional and lovely. And fortunately, this place didn't have the usual bourgeois amenities that secretly pump up the price. My massage therapist, Loree, was AMAZING!!! Before we began, we discussed what kind of massage I was looking for and the amount of pressure I am used to. She was wonderfully skilled at adjusting the pressure during my session and paid special attention to the more tense areas of my back. She kept open communication with me as she worked to make sure we I was getting the maximum benefits from the Swedish massage. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. And if I lived anywhere close, I would make regular appointments with her because she is just...THAT...GOOD!!! Please request Loree if you come to Amethyst. My sister bought massages for my mom and I at Amethyst Spa. I was in town visiting my mom, so I was excited to try out a new place in a new part of town I had never seen before. The hotel itself is really beautiful, and has a lovely pool in the front entrance. As other reviews mentioned, this isn't like you're average resort spa. There was two masseuse available - one male and one female. I had the female masseuse, and my mom took the male masseuse. They were going to originally have us get a massage in the same room, but were kind enough to allow me us to have private room massages. The massage itself was incredible and I had a great conversation with the masseuse. She was so attentive to my sciatica and tender areas. I really appreciate her and loved the experience. My reason for not listing 5 stars entirely is the fact the at the time to go leave a tip, it was a pretty awkward situation. The Spa manager and both masseuses of the day were standing there at the desk while the manager said; "So what is the tip going to be? This __ amount or __ amount?" I said I will leave my own, can I write it down? I loved my massage, and of course I gave a good tip! But in my experience having work front desk at a spa in the past, I thought it was pretty unprofessional behavior for a spa manager. Perhaps they are concerned that "groupon" holding customers won't tip, maybe that has been an issue for them, but I think it was pretty inappropriate to make it a "group conversation" in front of all employees. It really rubbed me the wrong way. Perhaps because I'm younger they assumed I wouldn't tip, as well. I suggest to the Spa Manager to reconsider her behavior and demeanor when speaking to customers, not matter their age. I don't consider it "Resort spa" appropriate. We went to the pool for a bit after the massage. It was a really lovely view. As other reviews stated, there's not locker rooms or areas to get dressed. You need to use the spa restroom or restroom by the pool to change into pool attire. read more

the most unsatisfing spa facial i ever endured not at all worth the money. they asked about my skin type before the facial and i told them i was very sensitive to salicylic acid and they disregarded that fact totally by applying it during the facial. i tried to notify the lady that my face was on fire burning and she hushed me several times and i had to flip out to have it removed . then she told me the one blemish i had needed to be lanced open by a emergency room doctor. she did not one extaction of impurities which i have a few of i was very upset and felt like they were not honest about there products either because the faciaal i paid for was supposed to be done with gental cleansers. they also add there tip in the cost before the service they dont even let you know about there specials or casino rewards or new customer discounts i discovered myself online we spent over 1000 dollars that day 2 of us were upset and would never go back . so go elsewear if you expect someone to care read more

I was so disappointed. Got a Living Social/Groupon coupon and received such a horrible massage. She didn't massage my quads at all or my hands or feet. The upper part of your legs with the big muscles are so important and just a very light massage everywhere else. So, disappointed. And just like the previous comment. No locker room to change or have a shower afterwards. They should not call it a SPA. A spa has a steam or sauna and showers. Had to dry off after the hot tub and only a cold shower outside. And a outdoor bathroom to put on my make up and change clothes. VERY Disappointed. I wish I remembered the gals name who massaged me.. But was not a massage. She needs to go back to school.
