Friday night just finished dinner and thought bowling would be fun. Got to the bowling alley at about 8:20pm and was told there was a league going on and wouldn't be done until about 9pm. We sat at the bar and waited patiently until 9pm had passed. Lanes were open but we were told we had to wait for everyone in the league to leave before opening lanes to the public. Having a league on a Friday night seems odd to begin with but 50 minutes after 9pm and still we are still waiting so we decided it wasn't worth the wait. Inaccurate wait times and poorly timed league are the reason for this 1 star. read more

PROS: * $10 for unlimited bowling..on a Saturday?! That part was pretty cool. * The black light was pretty cool. * The drinks were good. * The people next to us were friendly and supportive as I hit gutter ball after gutter ball. CONS: * The music sucked! I asked someone if we could play a specific song, but they said it was set to a particular station that they could not change. BOO! New manager is AWFUL. We used to come all the time and get greeted right away by Rebecca or Ramon, now this new guy looks lost all the time and takes ten minutes to even say hello. The staff that is still here looks like they hate their jobs now, they're out of EVERYTHING (how are you going to be out of 805 in this area?? Way to support local business!) the bathrooms are atrocious and there hasn't been paper towels the last two times we've come in to practice. Wouldn't be surprised if this 'manager' gets the entire building shut down. What a loss, this place used to have such a great energy and we loved coming in. Lanes and scoring can be challenging at times with pins falling from the setter and wrong scores recorded. Kegs get tapped often. I don't know why a mug and a pint cost the same. My family just tried to bowl. They were clearly understaffed and taking awhile. Not the end of the world, but then they put us in a lane in-between two other families. There were no seats. I asked for a new lane and explained what was going on. They said the bar seating way back behind was for us. We have children, one being disabled. She can not get on and off a bar stool and would need to be in a seat. It was not ADA friendly. They said those were the only lanes open, because of a bowling league. Who does a bowling league on Friday nights and closes almost all the lanes? There was also no bartender and the person in front of me was asking to order drinks. This place has the worst service and worst food ever!! We went just to have a nice time as a family. Everything was hard. The platform for the lanes sucked, it took FOREVER to get food and drinks. They screwed everything up and when we got it the food was awful and not nearly enough to feed our family. They were out of everything and the bartender was TERRIBLE. I know covid has changed a lot of things which is why I'm leaving 5 stars when in reality it should be 1. I know it's probably because most of the employees are new. But after seeing the bartender put my beer mug under the spout and just letting it run until there was no foam. Wasted at least maybe four beers worth. This is the best bowling alley in the Rocklin/ Roseville area! If you want to go to a family friendly establishment where employees are on their A-game and attentive to the needs of customers. I highly recommend coming here. They also don't close down every other week due to Covid outbreaks (Strikes). Definitely try their wings too 10/10 recommend. read more

Would not recommend this place at all. Our screen froze and we lost our scores and had to wait till our time was out to buy a new game just so we could bowl. These bowling balls were terrible too. They didn't have any variety for finger hole sizes. The balls kept getting stuck and we wouldn't get our ball back for so long. Service isn't the best either, why do 2 fries take 45 minutes. Only reason i gave this place 1 star and not 0 is because the fries were pretty good. read more

Just got done playing ONE game with four people that came out to 20$. Only to be taxed 8$ on one 20$ game. OUTRAGEOUS. Does not even make sense. When we went back in and pointed out that essentially we were chartered 6.99$ a person instead of the Sunday after 6pm price of 5.19$ the lady said that that's just cause of tax and told us we were wrong. It made no sense to have that much tax on a 20$ tab.basically got charged 25% in tax for bowling. Won't be back. read more

If you're looking for some really good fun, i sooo recommend this place!! Last night I had THE BEST time here. My partner and I went and met up with her "brother", his wife, their boys (13 & 17) with some of their friends too. There was a total of 10 of us, more teenage boys than the adults, which I know can get pretty hectic. The staff was ON IT last night!! The bartender Datwan was THE MOST upbeat bartender. So kind, friendly and could tell he loves his job. Definitely appreciated his smiles and attitude. Savannah behind the desk was very patient when we came in and the boys were, well...being boys The manager, Alyssa, made sure we were good and had all we needed all night. It's been a while since my last review and I just felt the need to update it. I've been going to this bowling alley a few times a week since my last post and management has turned over a few times since then and if have to say over the past 12-18 months the bowling alley has only improved. Malinda is awesome, and always has me laughing and knows how to handle any situation thrown her way. I'd say Malinda's best attribute is building an awesome staff. She's hired great people to work there since she's started everyone is always upbeat and positive. Great job Malinda!! And props to Nick, Kimiko, Ken, Tuan, Donald, Trafton, Jacob, & Christalyn for always going above and beyond when I'm in there. I bowl In a league with a packed house, so it's a bit hectic on Thursday nights and the staff will do whatever they can to accommodate the bowlers, which can be trying to say the least. I've been coming here since I was a very little kid. My grandpa participated in some of the first leagues that played here when this location opened. Since then, it has grown, just like the territory around it. That's a good thing! The people that work here, namely CJ in the bar and Patrick up front are awesome people! We stopped by the spot on the way back into Roseville from Apple Hill. It was a Saturday night so we figured that the more popular bowling alley would be really crowded and this less packed spot would be the better choice. My boyfriend went to Sierra College around the corner and warned that this used to be the sort of "dive-y" bowling alley so I really didn't know what to expect going in. That said, it was AMAZING. They clearly have put a lot of effort (and money) into this place and I was super impressed. There are tons of lanes, they have giant screens projecting above the lanes on the far wall (a mix of sports and kids movies while were there), a full bar, a small arcade, and food. On top of that, everything is automated so you give them your card at the beginning of your time there and then you can play as many games of bowling as you want, and charge anything from the bar or snack bar to that same card. I loved how easy everything was. The seats by the lanes are comfortable and the interior is really nice. If you haven't been in a while, or have heard rumors about what it used to be like, cast them aside! This place is really nice and is probably our new go to bowling spot in Rocklin! read more

Average bowling experience. The cost to bowl is not what it use to be. A family of four playing 3 games with no add-ons cost $50. Ouch. However, if you sign up for their rewards program you get some really great money saving coupons. If bowling with a child, plan ahead. This location only has two of the ramps that toddlers use to get the ball down the lane and they are often already in use. Have a back-up plan before you get your lane. The food assortment is overall pretty good and they have a variety of adult beverages to choose from. read more

I'm not a huge bowler so I don't know much about "oiled lanes" and things of that nature. What I do know is that the prices were reasonable for the lanes, our bowling balls traveled down them fine, and the gutters work very good as well. :) My family and I enjoyed a night with my wife's sister's family and with kids ranging from 6 to 18, everyone had a blast. The music wasn't loud and overpowering like other places, the seating was comfortable, the tables cleaned for our food, and the staff friendly. We ordered burgers, fries, and pizza. I was surprised that the personal sized pizza tasted pretty good. The fries were really good as well. My burger, I think it was the "Monster", was alright. It's more of what you'd expect from a cafeteria than a burger joint. It wasn't bad by any means. It seemed like the patty came from a bag of frozen offerings purchased at Costco. It had flavor but wasn't worth the $10 I paid for it. :) There was a mix up on our order for my girls and the manager came over to apologize for it. He seemed genuinely concerned and thanked me for my understanding. That impressed me. Overall, we had a great time at AMF Rocklin Lanes and can't say we found anyone smoking pot in the parking lot or any of the other complaints found here. The bathrooms were clean and not smelly.
