Going to be honest, I've never once been bowling here. I just go for when my family wants to play with the arcade machines they have. One thing I can for sure give my 5+ star rating for is the drinks. Mike, one of the bartenders, always makes the drinks with *extra* love. I love this place! It's been about 20 years since I have bowled in a league. I came here and Miguel set me up with a team. They have fun leagues, in addition to sanctioned leagues, but the fun league was perfect for me to get back into the swing of things. Daniel at the pro shop is super helpful and friendly. Evelyn and Maritza are very attentive and always ensure I never need to leave my lane to get food or drinks. The few times I have experienced a lane issue, the staff went above and beyond to remedy the problem. If you are thinking about joining a league, this is the place! The original service was great. Got a lane right away on a late Saturday afternoon, no problem. The employer was friendly, efficient, professional, and all over the place going the extra mile to stay on top of everything (including cleaning tables). It quickly fell apart when the lane didn't get turned on. Then the lane never lit up and counted wrong. It wouldn't reset or clear correctly, multiple balls got lost (not returned), and it wouldn't move to the correct player at the right time. Within 5 minutes we switched to the lane next to it. 1 turn in and it turned off. They made us wait 10-15 min for someone to fix it vs switching us somewhere else when we expressed our repetitive issues and concerns. They refused despite us insisting. Finally got it worked out, about 30 min in to our arrival. Arranged for extra time, but still annoyed as we had an impatient 5 yr old with us. Very similar thing happened last time we came (also with a Groupon, different lane). Food was expensive but good, as it was before. Balls had to be searched for in other lanes, as did ramps. Shoes so slippery I immediately almost fell first roll. Didn't want to deal with exchanging shoes so I just moved carefully. Everything was good other than that. Until an hour in when the manager approached us and asked us to switch to a new lane because a league was coming in and they wanted to use our lane. We were allowed to finish our game first, but we had 6 people (including 2 kids and 2 elderly) as well as a bunch of food and an giant ramp (and shoes and balls, of course). We decided to finish our game and just leave 45 min early (had a 2-hour Groupon deal) rather than deal with it all. Still a great deal but highly disappointing. read more

A great place to celebrate birthdays whether you're young or old. We just celebrated another grandkid's birthday party and really appreciate the friendliness and helpfulness of the managers (Ramon and Rebecca), and their staff members. The food are delicious and the kids loved the pizza. My grandson commented that their fries are better than McDonald's. Bathrooms are always kept clean, which is much appreciated. The added fun for the kid's are the video games. Having party's combination of bowling and video games are the best. I highly recommend this place to any family who wants to have a good time. AMF just isn't the same. They have gone through about 3 different managers and assistant managers in the last 18 months it seems. During most league nights there is something wrong with the ball return, customer service is a 6/10. The newer management is a step down from before. Unfortunately we must have had horrible luck and had employees who do not care about their jobs. We waited over 45 minutes for our food to arrive and noticed other patrons and nearby lanes receive their orders over us and had my husband follow up learning that their printer was broken and never had our wings or pizza in the works. Then to make matters worse we had to wait another 20 minutes for our pizza and 2 games later had no wings. In addition my husband purchased another pitcher to help make the time go by which we received 2 hours later. Writing this we are two hours in no wings and finally our second pitcher of beer came. Best and most comfortable bowling experience in Sac area. Located in a safe suburban area with plenty of parking. Plenty of comfy seating throughout the building. We were there last night for a Christmas party and they were fantastic! The guy at the shoe counter was very friendly and wished us a merry Christmas on our way out. Just a fair warning to anybody that wants to reserve a lane here. THEY DO NOT DO REFUNDS. I just thought that should be clear before pursuing any further. I talked to management 2 hours prior of my reserved time to cancel. My reserved time was Sunday, Feb 19th at 3:00. I was informed that they did not do refunds and can only change my reservation to another time. Since I made the reservation for 2 people I basically just lost 52 dollars for a reserved lane I couldn't show up to. AMF should thank me for the free donation I basically gave them. read more

Maritza might be the friendliest bartender I've ever encountered. Always ready to serve her customers and build report with them. Ask for her margarita, you won't regret it. A+ service every time I come in to see her. Shes excellent at her job and is always in a great mood no matter what. She's very fast and professional. "San Jose, CA," and this house reminded me of the old school Alma Bowl, Cambrian Lanes, 4th Street Bowl feel. Sports on tv, and to top it off I bowled (terribly) with my 5 year old son on the other lane, next to some of the house pros who gave me some tips on lane conditions and not to be too hard on myself for bowling terribly as the lane conditions were left over from a tough tournament the day before! Where do I start! It was a Monday..... Super under staffed. Let's start with the Bartender aka the Cook aka the Manager aka the Food Runner. This guy had to do 4 jobs tonight. I felt so bad and I totally understood. I couldn't find the bartender for a long time. Then when I did find him he was overwhelmed. He proceeded to tell me that he was the only one doing everything and it would be awhile until he could get over to the bar! Okay no problem. So we check in get out shoes and lane.( this was the only job he wasn't doing) Then it's time to order food..... Crickets no one insight. At this time it's been over 35 mins and we have yet to get any service. So looking around I see there is a few families in here so maybe he is backed up! Eventually someone spots him behind the bar and advises me to head over if I still want a drink. Well now it's about 50 minutes into being here so I am a little over the drink now. But we were celebrating so we needed to at least have just one! Yes finally I get a cocktail. He definitely apologized for the wait. Then we order pizza. Looking at the menu I was excited to try some menu items. But due to lack of staff we for sure are only ordering pizza. Let's make it easy on this poor guy. So pepperoni it is! Now is time to bowl while we wait on the food. Time goes by. We are about half way through the game and still no pizza. Seriously. So my friend goes to just check because now it's almost been an hour.... So we find out another family took our pizza because they thought it was theirs????? The manager said he would have to remake the pizza and give us a discount on it. Wait so because another person didn't pay attention and took one too many pizzas now we just get a discount and they got a free pizza. On accident interesting. At this point I am trying to be patient and not mad. We all hungry as well. So over all because this place was under staffed it made our experience horrible. Now it's not the managers fault but something has to give. I'm sure the people that got the extra pizza were happy but our experience was just not a good one. I want to say I'd like to come back but I am little hesitant to or at least just bowl no food or drinks. We did all enjoy the time we spent bowling. Despite all the set backs! 7/16/19 Update: I really like this place! Considering you have a lot to choose from on the menu! I also love that I can keep the kids having fun and let my hair down as well! I do appreciate people in the industry as I am in it myself. So the family returned. We had a way better experience this time! They seemed to be normally staffed and the bartender was really nice and attentive this time! Also our front desk person was very helpful. He made sure we had a good time! He also made sure our food came out on time. We did have a little discretionary but he took care of that quickly! Thank you for that I wish I got your name! We had an amazing time at AMF bowling where I held a birthday party for my husband. Things were unfortunate when my family was covid positive and we were quarantined. AMF took care of us postponed the event and gave us time to recover. During this time our event organiser Sandy kept in touch with us throughout, which I highly appreciate. On the day of everything ran smoothly our family and guests had a blast. Super thankful for the manager Rebecca for being there for our event and ensuring that everything ran smoothly. Wanna go bowling and not deal with crowds, AMF Rocklin is your place. We came here on a Friday night and the place was at least half empty. After 8pm they run a unlimited bowling deal for $12.89 pp. Shoe rental is $4.69pp. We bowled for a few hours and had several problems with the lanes and had to switch lanes at one point. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the night and did not get upset over having to fix things constantly. We really didn't see other bowlers having trouble with the lanes so I guess we just had bad luck. There are also pool tables and video games for entertainment here along with a snack bar and I think a full service bar as well. This place was okay. The bowling experience was decent, however the balls got stuck at one point and weren't coming back. We got assistance in a reasonable amount of time. The service was okay, but could use improvement. The bathrooms were trashed and unkempt though, which was important to me. There were no seat covers, no paper towels left, and no soap in one of the dispensers. The bathroom also didn't appear to have been tended to all day. There were a few machines out of order. There was some other various things that needed attention, but aren't worth mentioning. Spacious location to meet up for a bowling event. They have a huge parking lot out front. The place is family friendly and have a good selection of arcade games in additional to the many bowling lanes they provide. They even have dinosaur ramps that helps the beginner bowlings with aiming their ball. Their rental shoes were clean and if you forget to bring socks, you can purchase a pair at the counter. There's a restaurant you can order finger food and beer from. It took a long time for the food to come out... like, triple the time it should have probably taken. The staff was nice to try to redeem themselves by giving us some arcade credits though. They have clean bathrooms, which is a major plus. I went in yesterday with my kids to get out and have some fun let's just say it did not disappoint! It's a great establishment with kind and helpful employees! Miguel helped us at the front desk and was very helpful and sweet, he played with my son for a brief moment while I got my other kids wrangled up. Let me just say being a mother is a wild ride and we appreciate all the help we get. So thank you to Miguel. As we got to our lane we got our shoes on and I needed help with putting the gates up. I asked for help from this lovely young lady Bree, she swiftly got those gates up and helped us with a few other things. She was so kind to my kids, the employees definitely made my experience! Also the place is super clean and well kept up. The arcade area looked like it had just been wiped down, makes me happy that they are top of cleaning because so many germs these days! It was super busy when we arrived, but Ramon, Rebecca, and Ago got through the line super fast and got us to our lanes at the reserved time. Wouldn't let me eat my Jamba bowl inside. Had to sit in my car to eat. Not a very good experience.

Our lane would constantly breakdown and it would take forever to reset which we weren't compensated for the times we couldn't play. Half the games took your credits and didn't even work. The claw machines were obviously rigged; I picked up an item 3 times just for the claw to not close and drop it. The food was terrible (our pizza was hard as a rock) and the made us sick. We went and played a fun game of pool. They have a bar and some other arcade games. The night we went was kinda empty cuz it was right by the holidays. So we had a lot of privacy, good time to go. We had fun and I would go again. The only reason I didn't put 5 stars is cuz the bar tender seemed to go missing when there weren't even anyone else but is to attend to, but he eventually came back. I can say that with confidence. Us Del Oro kids have been frequenting this place for over a decade. Jeez, maybe even two. Where does the time go? Food isn't terrible. There's a bar. Drinks are cheap. The people who work here are great. Music videos are ridiculous silly fun, as are the black lights and the laid back vibe.
