This place has been a staple for college kids fun since I was in community college in late 1990's. It has pretty well taken care off, with some occasional glitches of equipment, but the staff are pretty good & quick at helping customers. I've been coming to this bowling alley for years, and over the past year I've been there 2-3 times a week. Unfortunately, over the last few months the customer service has gone downhill. Today was the final straw. I was bowling with my husband and friends when the manager, Hunter, came over and told us we had to move onto one lane because they were busy. (Didn't even let us finish the game just started moving us) After the game, I went to the front desk and offered to pay separately so my husband and I could have our own lane. I was told no because "they know we're a group since we've been coming there for so long." I tried to talk to Hunter again and he said "he didn't care." So everyone knows when we left the two lanes were empty and no one was bowling (there was no customers) Customer loyalty and good service clearly aren't a priority anymore. Sadly, I can't recommend this location after today's experience. Whoever is in charge of this location really should look at their staff. Making $50 over someone they all know comes 2-3 a week. lol is a joke. read more

My first bad customer service experience here that I've ever experienced in my 25 years of coming to this place. I simply went up to the bar and no one was there. That's understandable because they have not be open long. Went back to the counter to ask if the har is closed. Spoke to the manager Josh and ge stated "there is no one to work there yet but he could take my order." I said thank you. He walked off to somewhere and I went back up to the front desk to state this guy i spoke with disappeared and confirmed the bar was actually open to order from. The front desk guy stated that he, "the manager Josh" would take care of me. Then Josh comes back and states "he told me to give him a few minutes." Which he did not. He just proceeded to do what he was already doing. This is simply poor customer service. As a person also working within the customer service sphere myself, I would have taken care of the customer first then finished what I was doing. It was not busy in here and it should not be at the customer's expense to wait when there is no one scheduled to work where serve is requested. The service I was requesting was simply a beer. Nothing complicated or difficult to oblige. This is unfortunate as it has left me feeling ignored and unappreciated for my patronage. People always remember how you make them feel. Lanes were clean and the overall place had a good vibe. If you wanna grab a bite or get a drink they have a bar and plenty of onsite food options. Pricing: $7.50 a game per person per game and about $5.50 shoe rental per person ads up fast but you'll have a blast. The approach area transition to the lane is not flush. They used rubber gaskets and the edges do not meet. Kinda jacks up your approach. UNREAL. Bring plenty of ball cleaner as well, your gonna need it. If you are into this type of place, have at it and bring some bucks, that's what they are all about. Horrible service. Only 1 person works here. He is very lazy and does not even answer the phone if you call the bowling alley while you're there. We had to knock on doors that said employees only to finally find him in the back of the bowling alley laughing it up behind closed doors with apparently a 2nd employee. There were 3 guests in line when I finally found him. We just needed help with the very old computer system they have for adding bowlers to the game. But by the time I found him we had already used 17 minutes of the hour we paid for. I played in the league "Sunday Trio's" and was apart of the first place team. We received close to $60 each but paid $225 for league fees. Essentially we each donated the $165 difference for the opportunity to get an ego boost and say we got 1st place.. You want to talk about a waste of time and money? I would've been ok with it if we got a trophy, a plaque or something but we didn't get anything other than $60 and "hey! You got 1st guys." That's the first time I've experienced where you don't, at the very least, get your money back for getting 2nd or 3rd, let alone winning. So what's the incentive to join any league at AMF?!? In the beginning when we asked about the payouts, we were told it depended on how many teams were in the league and seeing how the final number looked and then figuring out the payouts. What they did was, you got paid $x per winning point. If you already had the algorithm on how you were going to do the payouts, you should've been up front and said "we pay on a winning point basis and we're waiting to see how many teams join and pay in full to figure out how much x will be." Leaving out key words/details is very deceiving. Had we known it was by winning point, we wouldn't have joined the league because that means it doesn't matter if you're in last place; as long as you win games, you'll receive money. That means 2 things: 1) there's no payout for placements and 2) we'd have to go undefeated and hope it's $3 a winning point, which is unheard of, to break even. If you're wanting to play league and compete, I'd advise to go elsewhere. read more

Started league play here a few weeks ago and hadn't been here for 20 years! This place hasn't changed; except for no smoking policy. The staff is still as friendly and helpful as they were in the past. I think the lanes are have been well maintained and the scoreboard is up to date. Some people thought the approach was short but I didn't think so. Great ball selection and the shoes; at least in my size were pretty new. Flatbread pizza was yummy; no craft beers. read more

Everything looks new and clean! They also separated us from other parties due to covid which was a plus. i go to this bowling alley frequently and have never had any issues until last night. The man working at the front, William, was extremely rude and dismissive. I understand that it was a busy night but there was no reason for him to literally ignore me and my friends when we were asking about specials and wait times. I was looking forward to seeing my nephew display his bowling skills Sunday at the AMF competition. I know that he had been setting time to hone in his techniques and even moved some time apart from his family to practice. The family accompanied him to see the competition! I was eager to see how serious they take their hobby and was impressed with their concentration and focus. However, at the end, when I was informed that they technically had won 1st place, but that the league run by AMF and its organizers, had made more money than the participants, I could not wonder "Is AMF a scam?" How can the secretary make more profit by organizing the event compared to the actual winning team? How is it that the winning team took $60 dollars each person? If AMF wants more participants in its AMF Bowling League and if they want to be taken seriously as a "League" then they must be transparent from the beginning when competitors sign up. No one should be labeled 1st place, yet go home with monies that make them feel as last place participant? So, if you are looking into joining the AMF Bowling League, whether it be a corporate event or as an avid bowler, know this, AMF will send your dignity as a bowler to the gutter. You might be the best bowler, but will you be compensated for your talent? I think not. They had an opportunity this weekend; they failed the league members and their respective families. Although I am proud to have seen my nephew demonstrate his skills, I am disappointed to know that AMF in Arlington has downgraded the respect of this fine sport. Do yourself a favor, either speak to management to improve the league and how the payout must be financially fair for all or take your bowling to a better establishment where your sport is validated and respected. I have been bowling in leagues for the past 5 or 6 years. I have seen ups and downs with the management with the center. I often come in to practice and have been met with extreme friendliness and a general feeling of glad you're here what can I do for you. This seems to be most apparent when Kim or Teresa is at the front counter. AMF has always been an average bowling place to go but recently they were able to pick up new customers with their unlimited Bowling until like a week ago when they no longer provided it. Great idea. The front desk workers have RBFs and I can't seem to understand why work there if you are not going to be in a good mood and if you're not having a good day, that's understandable, but don't let it out on the customers that came in to enjoy an evening of bowling. You would think winning first place you would get your money back that you put into the league for dues as well as some additional profit instead you get almost a quarter of what you put in. How does that make any sense? How are my league dues $210 but my first place pay out is $60 somebody with logic please help me understand how that makes any sense. Lanes during league chew up bowling balls and scuff & chip them while playing. During a league match my ball returned with a gash on it. Floors are not checked- during one match there was some sticky substance on the lanes where you step which distributed our practice time and unfortunately affect the games. First off, there should not be a 10 person wait when there's more than half of the lanes available. Secondly, the front desk workers are rude. We had a party of 9 people when the maximum capacity of each lane can only hold 8 bowlers. Asked to request for two lanes and they stated we had to wait on the line again. Only reason I'm giving them two stars are for their bowling specials but other then that.. this business is losing money with their unnecessary waitlists. read more

Our recent experience has gone down the gutter. We've been coming to this bowling alley religiously for months now, but today the issue that happened today was absolutely ridiculous. Our friends that bowled next to us came at the same time as us for the unlimited bowling starting at 8pm. They PAID for the unlimited deal but the new African American lady associate manager messed something up and kept a tab open for their games. So they ended up having to pay the unlimited deal PLUS PER GAME fee!!!!Proceeded to handle the situation by blaming it on the customer. Not admitting to fault or apologizing for the inconvenience that was caused on her part. Not only that right after the situation was rudely handled by forcing the bowlers to pay this associate manager proceed to go to the back room and not come out for the remainder of the time. We tried to get this issue resolved with a different worker, shout out Jason, and couldn't get the problem resolved due to the manager yelling at this worker to log off from the system. All in all ok bowling lane but very poorly managed and trained associate manager. Jason handled it very well and tried to help us to the best of his abilities. They turned our lanes off for "sending 20 balls down the lane" when we were just bowling a regular game. This is our second game of the night. The first game the pins dropped and flooded the lane so we had to wait for them to be picked up. They have pool, TVs, and arcades They serve pizza, cokes, and beer. Plus other stack bar food. No smoking inside building. Not that busy so we did not have to wait. We went on Saturday afternoon. Not too loud Price: 5 4 people, 2 games, at 1PM was $53 Liquor and beer was a bit overpriced, specials or not I have to disagree with the assertion that the spot it is at is "dangerous" or "shady." Honestly, anywhere can be considered that at night if it is an older shopping center. If you are chillin at the bowling alley parking lot in the wee hours you are probably doing life wrong as is.
