Not much interesting I could find since I first set foot here with with my whole family after Ranch 99 was sealed off in Skyline Plaza for the time being. Of the ones I recognized inside the Seafood City Supermarket: some ube pastries, milkfish, Macapuno coconut flavored ice cream. I just love how big those avocados are! No self service feature yet for all I know. But one things for sure, they're very expensive than the ones from Ranch 99.

Plus, out of convenience, I shopped there even knowing that I will be paying more but wanted to support the Philippine stores and products. I have two eco bags worth of groceries. The cashier did not even help bag but just stood there waiting for me to finish bagging. Very inconsiderate staff. I will think twice before shopping there again. Maybe if I'm just buying one or two items.

I went there to pick up the basics (rice, vegetables, fruit, etc). It is much more than that, I get my Chinese sausage there, too. And each time I go, I figure out something else that I like. Now it is the place I get my Asian condiments, snacks and beer. I am slowly moving up to their meats and fish. I like all of their offerings and will figure out their poultry very soon. It does look good. Everything is clean and well-organized. Service is good and the lines for the cashiers are never long. And now for the pics.

Inside is a modestly lit atmosphere which works well for what they are trying to achieve. One of the things I most about this market is the fact that you can't tell that they have a fresh meat section until you actually see it;, you know what l mean this , in some markets you smell them before you see them. I also enjoy all of the numerous commodities and fresh vegetables on hand as well. And the Specialty snack goodies. The service is very nice and friendly. Their little sister market down the hill on El Comino could take lessons from them .

Prices were similar to ranch 99. Good selection. Produce didn't seem as fresh as ranch 99 and several of the fruits being sold looked visible bruised or way too ripe. There is not a lot or room to walk around and when it is busy, you cannot really walk around with a shopping cart. Cashiers were generally friendly and the seafood team was responsive. The meat department butchers were a bit curt. I think I prefer ranch 99.

Not too familiar with the area, we were unaware of the ownership change. Crabs at $7.99/lb. seem like a reasonable price, vegetables looked fresh. Meats and seafood are priced a little lower than other Asian markets. I was excited to find some sesame candy which reminded me of childhood snack, however there is no expiration date on the good looking box ($4.99). The food court area is being remodeled, we walked around it carefully. The crabs we steamed last night for dinner were pretty good. Today I tried the sesame candy and was very disappointed. As soon as I opened the nicely wrapped candy, the aroma of rancid sesame oil hit me and it tasted bitter.....basically the candy is inedible. I understand it may not be the fault of the market because this item was imported. The lack of expiration date should have given me a warning, my fault. Needless to say we will not be rushing back to shop here anytime soon, hopefully they do a better job on quality control going forward.

Decent prices and good looking pastries. Still feels like a startup though. Cashiers are training and doing their jobs. Hashi Market has been upgrading too. I purchased 3 large bags of dumplings for only $10. It was a good sale this weekend. Celery pork/leek-scallions pork/cilantro chicken/etc. I think their fresh vegetables have dropped in prices too ($1.49-$2.99 per lbs.). Finally. I come here for tofu selections too. You can also find good 1liter healthy coconut water for under $3 each now. Hashi Market is slowly improving and training more new employees inside. This grocery store is convenient and they have made the aisles more spacious to walk around. Food deli area is still operating. I think the place is much better now compared to when it was the Marina grocery store in past years. Japanese products are showing up more and things are more positive here. I'll be back to try a few more breads/buns. $1.99 for good looking breads is cheap and decent here.

The snacks were past expiration date but they disclosed that in the description. The snacks were all really yummy though and they tasted fine since they were chocolate based mostly. They have a lot of international foods and ingredients here like saffron water, tahini, pierogies, etc. I don't cook a lot but can see myself picking up some ingredients here if I cooked more! The fish pieces were a bit haphazardly chopped. The seaweed was a bit slimy. But if you're needing to find snacks or frozen food or drinks, it's nice to have the option. nearby-ish. Also one of my bffs came here for a bunch of snacks and the associate there checking out her items noticed she was buying something that had a smaller amount where the larger amount item was on sale for the same price. I appreciate them looking out for you to get you a good deal! That's good service there.
