The staff from checkers to stockers in all categories are extremely helpful-beyond the norm...even a rewards program! They have bins of wonderful items...I discovered chili mangos here! The yogurt and cheese selections are wonderful for we vegetarians/pescatarian types. Athena from dairy really helped me! The staff does a great job keeping the items displayed and usually someone is nearby to assist with questions. The seafood is great. If you are a traditional person when it comes to diet, the meats and poulty and, frankly, all displays are very inviting. The staff works very hard and I truly appreciate their service. Store is a decent size resulting in most items being stocked, it's clean / comfortable, has ample parking, as always use the mobile application to lock in special pricing, and to qualify for rewards. my reason for this update / posting. i was absentminded and left a large insulated shopping bag that I have been using for several years in a shopping cart. upon returning home I realized that the bag was not with me so called the store. The Safeway customer service person advised me that my bag, and contents were at the front desk, and I could come back to retrieve the bag and replace the perishable items which was done later that day.

My only issue is that sometimes I am waiting a long time to have a sandwich made. I get it, people are working in the back, but it would be nice if at least one employee is assisting customers. Other than that, I have no problems. I may have a conversation with the Starbucks employees, they're always friendly. I saw an odd situation last week. A young man walked out with a duffle bag full of items they took, not paying. The security guard was next to the entrance doors and did nothing. Just kept looking down at his phone. Then right after, a woman carrying a large bag did the exact same. Employees were talking to each other about both situations. Why is security there, if that's the case. Anyway, every time I visit the store, they always have what I need. And the employees are friendly to me. The store is relatively large and welcoming, the parking lot is large enough for the amount of people visiting. I recommend using the restroom at home or somewhere else. Every time I have gone in there, it's never clean. I sanitize my hands thoroughly when I walk out the restroom door.

The food court now has 4 main eateries with Kalbijin relocating to next door, with a bigger seating area. The supermarket area seems more spacious and much easier to move around with your carts when it gets busy. They must have moved the food shelves around, since the housewares have been relocated. The new expanded area has the following: They have a cute stationary section with cute Korean toys, notebooks, pens etc, a luxury shop selling designer goods and a claw machine area for the younger ones. A great selection of housewares in the expanded area, with rice cookers, pots and pans, kitchen items etc. Definitely worth a visit to check out all things Korean.

Inside is a modestly lit atmosphere which works well for what they are trying to achieve. One of the things I most about this market is the fact that you can't tell that they have a fresh meat section until you actually see it;, you know what l mean this , in some markets you smell them before you see them. I included photos too. My recent review was for when they were temporarily closed due to a rodent infestation. I went here recently and wanted to send a reminder to make sure you check expiration dates on each item before purchasing. I saw one item expired in Sept 2025 and another on March 2026.

She likes Manila Oriental, preferring this one in Daley City to the one closer to her house in San Francisco. It had adequate parking. I was impressed with how big the fish market was, with rows of fresh/frozen fish ready for inspection. And they had many tanks of live seafood, including frog, which I hadn't seen before. They also have turo turo station, with the classic dishes (though none of it looked really that great). Minus the extensive food court, the size of this grocery store reminded me of how big H-Mart can get. It dwarfs the Filipino grocery stores in LA County, and wish something of this size was closer.
